Og refugees?

I got into the growing thing a few months after OG went down and when I found IC I was like..wow this is an insane amount of information. The way everyone is describing their feelings about OG is exactly the way I feel about IC, I feel attached to it and if IC fell victim to the pigs I would feel a huge emptiness like everyone says they feel with OG. Im not a big poster but I am always on here, my girlfriend makes fun of me for my "internet friends" (even though none of you know who I am, like know my username, I feel like I know most of you) but I hope one day to be knowledgable enough to help others the way the people here have helped me. Thanks to all of you for making this place as wonderful as it is and bringing the OG greatness here.

I too am an OG refugee, and I miss that very cool spot....I also think I am the first and only(well Blue dog has the daddy, so he is the other one) to have an OG litter...met another OG'er and decided our dogs would make a perfect match, and I flew to him when my female pit was in season, and she had 10 OG puppies. The litter that OG made!!!!! We name all the pups we produce after strains, and we had Bluebonic, Trinity, Blue Cheese, Trance, Gonzo, Kerala Krush, Aurora, Mikado, Omega...and I am too high to remember the other name, lol.....but I miss OG, and any OG'ers that want to pm me, feel free......we all lost each other, and it was really like a death.....peeps went underground, went to other sites.....losing OG really was a tremendouls loss, but we have persevered and are still growing and smoking some of the finest bud ever.....have a good one....peace...O.

I am a former OG refugee. When I first joined in March or April 2004 untill it shut down it did change alot. Many trolls and shady people but the site itself was one of a kind and will allways be.

I joined IC mag originally around the same time I discovered OG. Since OG went down, I have to say that IC Mags progress has jumped leaps and bounds. Its like OG minus the trolls and watchful eye lol! The one thing I do miss besides people is the strain guide. You can still find it on the net http://www.onlinepot.org/OGStrainGuide/Strainguide/OGSeedStrainsIndex.html but no picts. That strain guide was very helpful and it was so cool to see new reports every few days.

OG changed my life, I met so many wonderful people. So many unique and creative, beautiful people. The best people in the world. I learned about others, myself, and the wonderful world of cultivation. That there is a whole underground community of people, just like me! I had the privilege to make a couple good friends, all through this wonderful plant, and the ability of like minded individuals to find each other in a world of confusion.

Like kastt said above we all lost each other, and it was really like a death.....peeps went underground, went to other sites.....losing OG really was a tremendouls loss, but we have persevered and are still growing and smoking some of the finest bud ever!!!

OG had time as well, to sort FAQ and Techniques into easy to find Sticky Threads or a Menued FAQ. The Strain Guide was easy to use and find what you where looking for and it GREW as did the Membership.

What IC needs to do is put together a ummm I don't know?
One Place for FAQ and Sticky Threads of knowen Techs.
I'm thinking more in lines for the New Grower Members who don't know thier way around here or a grow room.

This ain't Kansas any more.

OG had Banner Ads that helped pay Band Width and help for running it.
There was good info at OG just as there is here.You just have to look around more for it here. :

IC is a great place, as it is used more it will become refined, and easier to use for new members. Although its not really bad at all right now.

The important thing for now is that experienced growers continue to post intellegent information, and continue to help the newbies find what they are looking for.
