when i was young i never knew i was adhd, my daughter shows signs, but slight, my lad is almost as bad as myself. had he had been my first he would be the only child. he is still your worse nightmare to this day, as i now realise i was my dads..

These words send chills down my back everytime I here them. But I hear them twice as much-I have twins.

The thing with twins-is that you can't fullfill one childs needs without the other needing something in return. A twin competition complex I think.

Craw, well heck! I can only imagine what having 11 is like. I am doing my nut here trying to get my obstinate 7 yr old daughter to do her homework. The problem is, my hubby died and although I try and act very tough and nasty, I don't smack her bum as often as I should. Actually I scared myself when I hit her once because I realized how it must affect her and I stopped. Now I just threaten. I don't know if it's going to help with her math though....I've just sent her to her bed an hour early..maybe that will help.Good luck craw!.

I think I spanked my son twice & that old saying that our folks used to lay on us -- "Believe me, this hurts me way more than it does you!!" -- is pretty damn factual. Now that he's 15, the punishment has changed, but that couple of wallops I had to give him around 5 or 6 yrs old, really did bother me immensely.
