Here's the last run in my led cab. A friend grew out a bagseed and gave me a cut so I figured I would try it in my micro cab. It's got a sweet taste/smell, is frosty and good social bud. Ready at 63 days but I got lazy harvesting so this is later.

Damn that's a lot of SILs. I can respect the amount of time it takes to remove all those domes. Nice job

21 SILs for 315w. Tin snips..quick hole in top..cut in a spiral to the bottom...30 secs..

Keeps winter shed grow warm..added humidifier due to inkbird 308 temp controller with 200w space heater in a 42inch x 66 inch.. adding autowater system next week. DTW.. all on a 20amp fuse.. max power is 1850w..only use 800w with everything running..

I’ve read this entire threat twice and it’s inspired me to go down this rout. I plan on getting 2 5 bulb splitters and running 8 8.5w 2700k bulbs and 2 10w 5000k bulbs for flower and just 10w 5000k bulbs for veg. My space is 11” deep and 17” wide and 4’ tall. Overkill? Because that’s like 67.5 watts per square foot.

I found I can get better spread with the 5 bulb splitter, but I was just thinking, wouldn’t 10 bulbs be overkill? Like most people just use 8 for a space my size. Maybe even 6. Idk I’ve never done this before. I’m used to HPS but I’m sick of the heat and power bill.

You could just try it and unscrew some bulbs if you notice light bleaching.

If you get dimmable bulbs you can adjust the intensity.

Most people here are using 100 Watt equivalent bulbs ranging from 12-17 Watts.

Overkill.

I've been running around 45w/sqft and am going to be dropping that to 35w/sqft in my led micro cab.

Nice looking spread. I like your use of the shelf for fixture frame. How much did each vanity fixture cost? I love how plug and play and adjustable that array is.:tiphat:

Tasty lookin bagseed Blynx. ^~^

Vanities were $15 cdn (4 light). Only have 3 power cords as i paired 2 x "4 light" vanities twice and 1 x 5 light on its own power cord. 2x4 + 2x4 + 5.

Built the room..veg room is next to this room..door is 4x5.5ft insulated foam board..gives me tons of area to work.. i bought stanley blower and connected to 6 inch duct (inkbird 308 for cooling).

Autowatering: 45 litre tote..400gph pump..riser..orbit 8 adjustable manifold..1/4 inch tubing..Ts on end..timer..

Led light Frame covers 2ft x 3.5 ft..about 45 watt per sq ft at full power.

Nice job on your grow..like your drying area.. you keeping lights 5-6 inches off canopy?

Nice. My wattage comes out to about 38w/sqft. Thanks! Yeah I was trying for about 5-6” with the 100w equiv’s but I’m thinking I might try for 6-8” on my next cycles.

Has anyone joined the 50 real watt 6500k color 5000 lumen club? Amazon has them for15 $each and those plastic reflector tops are very easy to pop off https://www.amazon.com/NUNUA-Commer...+bulb+6500k&qid=1579555397&sr=8-27&th=1&psc=1 I also like the 40 watt ones for flower but I haven't needed them since I have 2 600 and a 1000 hid lamps also a 250 mh for veg but these little led help keep the veg time at 24 hours for less$$ they make great supplemental light for flower with a 1000 hps just to add that extra bit of different spectrum

Here's my take on it...

The latest generation of LEDs have reached 200 lumens per Watt and the newer off the shelf LED SILs are at least 175 lm/Watt and are a few bucks apiece.

HID, HPS and MH lamps are roughly 35% efficient with 65% heat.

LEDs are roughly 65% efficient with 35% heat.

You can run LEDs for about half the energy cost and half the heat to deal with.
(actually, about 1/4 of the heat because you're getting the same luminous output with half the Watts.
Although you have to spend the money to convert.)
