If they can make you hate our neighbors, they can distract you from real, substantive issues (such as the erosion of our rights via the patriot act, the farce that is homeland security, and the horrible, horrible foreign policy with which we seem to draw the ire of every civilized nation in the world). If there's something to get "riled up" about, don't get riled up about some fake xenophobic NAU propaganda, get riled up about the fact that the US is still pursuing a failed drug policy as well as taking away our rights.

Your usual study book would say that foodprices come down as people start overproducing becourse of high prices.
It can be too early to tell if the prices will drop rapidly as you may think. inflation adjusted $$ are not in the peak yet.and oil prices are one of the current reasons allready, and will be icreasinly so in future.
Food prices could drop but possibly not that much this time.
we have some things:
global warming, sinking US dollar, ethanol scam, China, India, population gain, soil degradation and falling water tables

so we would need to see increase in agricultural output OR go vegetarian to fix that.
we are going to see increases in meat prices in future becourse it takes so much energy and acres to produce. The oil bubble popping will fix that sort of things..

and what would be your cheap solution for oil demand and co2 emissions?

remember - we do need to cut those emissions fast. There will be only more drought and hurricanes if we don't.
we are wasting above what we can afford on madness.
but we DO need some solutions to energy question.

Your question should be do you know what inflation means. I already pointed out what causes Inflation. But to answer your question. The inflation we are facing today is a consequence of spending more money than we have and then we borrow and print more money to come up with the deficit. That causes the value of the dollar to go down and prices to go up (inflation). Every nation has a economic crisis when they use the paper currency. The dollar will always lose its value because it is nothing more than a piece of paper. That is why if you want to fix the economy you need to have a stable currency. A currency backed by value. If gold or silver was our currency like the rule of law says it should be, it will prevent inflation from ever happening. I heard some of Obamas plan to raise wages to keep up with inflation. That is rediculous and it will never solve the problem. He would end up raising minimum wage to $100 a hour. If you want to fix the economy you need to start at the root of the problem and that is the currency, we need a stable currency!

wow i think you have even less of a clue about how the economy works than obama does. oil has nothing to do with our debt other than the connection to our foreign policy spending. also, oil prices aren't the only thing that is skyrocketing. if you had any clue, you would know oil is only another commodity affected by inflation and depreciation.

Our governments blank check spending causes the dollar to buy less. Another way to say that is that the dollar is worth less.

By making dollars easier to get those dollars buy less.

The blank check spending is done via building up the debt of the US government (and us as taxpayers).

The falling dollar has everything to do with the federal debt.

Let me back up just a little:

food is more expensive
oil is more expensive
housing is more expensive
gold is more expensive
health care is more expensive

just about everything is more expensive.

Simply another way of saying the dollar is worth less than it was.

Or inflation.

When our government overspends it causes inflation and larger national debts.

You could view it as a closed system where:
There are a fixed amount of goods and services within the system.
There is a fixed amount of currency within the closed system.

goods+services=currency

If you add more currency, it doesn't add more goods and services. It simply raises the prices of those goods and services.

The only proof I've seen so far about the "NAU" here is two youtube videos done by some random guy (because everything you see on the internet is true, right?), and the only refutation of my point so far has been the implication that I watch Fox news.

Why would I watch Fox news if I was previously critical of the Republicans earlier in this thread (the ones who are purporting that the NAU effort is underway). But you'll believe what you wish to believe.

the fact is that there is a CFR and they are the main body behind pushing the NAU.

LOU DOBBS has reported on it when noone else will and VECENTA FOX has even stated it was in the works. the SPP(safer patnership and prossperity act) that BUSH signed with CANADA and MEXICO is only the beginnig. TEXAS has ledgislature to stop the NAFTA HIGHWAY but we all know the gov. will do as they please untill we revolt. look at how the EU started, it was through trade agreements and now look at it. when some of the countrys didn't want to be in the EU because there constitution would be null and void they where forced in it anyway. we are headed for dark times my friend and the ELITES will have all the power and the people will have none. out of the 4 candidates that are left 3 of them are members of the CFR (clinton, obama, and mccain) so how are they different if they have the same goal?
