Most important for the patients is the quality of the MMJ, so it must meet the standards of proposition 65 (heavy metals, Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), further low in mycotoxins, micro-organisms etc.
As patient you can better take the MMJ from Humboldtlocal than from a indoors mega farm headed in the city imo.There is nothing better than fresh mountain air & the sun with UV.

the black and green slime on the rock wool cubes, is no problem what so ever, it's purely optical. the plants don't have any negative effects from it. in fact the plants seem to love that rw shit. i just prefer using coco as my main medium because i feel it tastes better in the end, but for speed of growth and yield rock wool rocks. i have rw cubes totally black with slime with bombastic plants growing out of them all the time. the slimy algae is only a problem in theory, (book knowledge) in practice it has no visible effect what so ever.

This setup does not look like anything special. They planted a huge amount of plants, under a huge amount of lights, in a huge space, on a huge amount of trays.They took the simple recipe and just expanded it. There is no innovation that I can see here.You can produce more herb under a football field sized greenhouse(with free sun & supplemental lighting) than they'll ever be able to produce.
It's not uniform and does not look clean. I am not impressed. And Mites. Please. If you claim to grow professionally and cannot get rid of Non-Beneficials, you should quit now. Someone gave me a clone with mites the other day. I really didn't even know what to say. I would be embarrassed.
As for BHT, one more person to add to my ignore list. No space for anyone so unhappy. I'm here to learn and I've learned plenty from Krunch and nothing from BHT. I've also puffed on some ChemKush and OG from Krunch and they were both top notch. I don't usually puff on other peoples nugget, but this herb was great.
The algae can be stopped with little plastic covers or strips of panda plastic. Either way I never noticed an issue. I use Coco for flavor and ease as well. But for production, by far the most popular system is drip onto hugo blocks. People who do it big tend to do it like this.
Good for Richard Lee. Who cares. Grow more herb, Grow better herb, and be happy. Dude is in a wheelchair and has been for twenty years. How fortunate am I to be able to have full use of my physical form. Plus he has to deal with being a public face, a walking bank roll, and the headache of the city and state bureaucracy. Let him do what he does. I'm gonna do me.
If you don't like it then don't support him or any of his ventures. You have the power as an individual to make that choice. There are other options.

i ain't here to start some pissing contest. it's not the way I setup my grows but I'm sure yal achieve results and anyone rocking over 30k gets a little respect in my book regardless of the grow/quality.
normally I'm a real positive person,, but 1) 19 means ALOT to ne for many reasons and 2) being manic bipolar I can get confontational real quick when challenged
id bet if we were all in the same room,,, smoking a fee hash bowls,, this conversation might have evolved differently,,
PS I been doing hash runs with minimal sleep for the last 4 days,,, so I'm a bit on edge to begin with
no hard feelings...i do know the positives of 19 and i understand why some are passionate about it. i just dont like the attitude of some pro19s, saying the antis are worse than cops and other stuff. we are all on the same team at the end of the day...and if 19 passes you are right people are gonna need to adapt or get lost. i have backup plans for both situations just in case, i plan to evolve in case 19 passes...
the only people worst than cops are agents.... passing 19 in 2010 to me is the equivilant of passing 215 in 96. medical marijuana in CA started the chain of event that has led to 13 other states passing similar legislation. id like to think 19 will follow suit. the only way to ever get the feds off our back is to get mj on the books that isnt medical. politicians NEED to see that the people want MJ for medical AND recreational use. only then will we start seeing political support for MJ once they realize it wont be suicide for their policitcal career (which is why we see so many ex cheifs, ex presidents and ex judges supporting MJ once they leave office)
as i am unsure what the future may hold for us with passing of 19... im more afraid of what may happend if we dont pass it....

well as far as i can see they have some nice lighting set up, looks like great circulation. but it seems they have very little actual grow skills yet, with so many rooms it will go very fast though, as long as they have a gardener with a bit of a green thumb they will be upping their game quickly.
for now they are running the plants like amateurs, only 1 or 2 pics show a canopy with potential to yield in the 0.8 gpw range, for the rest they are mistimed or misferted or miss selected strains. you have plants that are very short in huge containers. most of them lack that vigorous healthy look of a well dialed in cannabis grow. but like i said doing so many rooms at the same time will increase the learning process rate incredibly, by the time half a year passes they could have harvested each room 2 or 3 times, meaning they gain experience at an incredible rate. before you know it they will know exactly how much nutes to give when, exactly how much veg to give for each strain they run. they will implement strict protocols for pest prevention and before a year is passed they will be harvesting at least 500g per 600 watt lamp every 2 months from every room. specially if the gardener has intuitive skills in growing.
but all that time and energy will cost a lot and they will not be interested in selling their product for bellow market value, certainly not when they are growing indoors like that.
to think they are doing all this with no assurances that the feds don't come in at the first harvest and fuck them over, ballsy indeed. just think anyone who has the ability to set up such a grow factory should be able to try and do so. i hate the idea that the playing field will be so stacked. but we will see.
the one thing they will have a hard time doing is competing with taste and smell of smaller ops, but even that can be done well or worse, it will be up to the boss if he wants to have his stuff flushed and finished properly, or if every run is ferted till the last day, harvested as early as possible and trimmed with machines.
it is strange though, so many times when i come across those really big set up with over 100 lamps, they all seem to be lacking in grow skills and instincts.
