im a huge tool fan, and i was lucky enough that my work mate at the time, camped outside the ticket office for 30+ hours to get 4 tickets... one of which was mine.
mine was number 143, out of 10,000 sold.
this was in Sydney, AU, and they were sold out in 6 and a half mins.
the concert was amazing. i was right up the front, holding the bar.
i even got my face in Kerrang magazine asking "IS THIS YOU??" with a freaking circle right around my head. lol.
i was like "HEY!!!!!! THAT _IS_ ME!!!!" lol!
never will forget that ...
and for the canooks... my 2nd concert was The Tea Party. those are 3 of the most talented guys alive. every song, they seemed to pull out a new instrument to play.

Dog: Yeah, Jeff been solo a while now no?... that dude is amazing on anything that uses strings!... and, coming from a singer myself, has one of the most amazing male voices ive heard in a long time. (although, Maynard is very much right there with him. hehe)

im also a Matthew Good Band fan, with Matt Good also going solo a few years ago.
alot of good music coming from CA in my opinion.
ive been a Finger Eleven fan forever too. they are trying to go more mainstream nowadays, with the song "Paralyzer" becoming known here in USA... but.. they deserve the money...
The ENTIRE "TIP" album, was incredible. every song was killer... and thats rare in todays albums.
Holly McNarland gets an honorable mention from me too.. tiny cute girl with a power voice. sexy!
i swear i shoulda been Canadian. lol.
As for Tool, the music is (was) like no other.. and Maynard's Lyrics, like you said are intense. not to mention the best drummer in the world sitting at the drums. amazing band!
Perfect Circle are riding Maynards talents too... but thats ok. The more Maynard the better

So I have a nice chunk of land, and just hang out around here for the most part, but working fulltime, kind of takes your motivation away, so I concentrate on growing weed, watching baseball, and golfing. Get my handicap down to single digits this year
