I drive a van or an SUV most of the time......but when I'm not driving the kids around or making umpteen trips to the supermarket......I like to go out alone on my bike...(it only has one seat).....It gives me a sense of freedom when the sun is shining...(forget about it when it rains).....
omg. just read the books. you have an extremely skewed view of riders based off of a stereotype of biker gangs that are not even real.
It's especially nice when you set out on a road trip and you can feel the cares floating away behind you, like leaves off an oak in fall.

Um, just curious, but, first, why did he switch back, from Fuel Injection, electronic in nature, to carbs?
Also, I doubt to this day you can find a 07, beat down or not, for a few hundred dollars? Maybe you could find a motor, or front end for that much, but not a whole, late model gsxr of any displacement; if he did, I still don't believe it

okay, a lot of us (me included) have gotten bent out of shape here for one reason or another. debating sides is one thing, finger pointing & going after members is another, that's what always leads to bad feelings (short lived or not) and threads being binned etc, (etc=other not good stuff).
some bikes are loud because they're owned by wingnuts and some are loud because extreme horsepower dictates an unrestricted exhaust or risk detonation of the engine from extreme back pressure.
wanna really do something about it?
make sure your voice by vote is heard.
My families real time bikers I like the noise lol brought up around it....

The leather clothes are for protection.Biker gangs have only used the leather to show their colors etc.I don't mind one bit.I'm not a street biker because I'd be dead, the temptation for speed is too much.The pipes on my boat are louder than a Harley and nobody seems to mind.The only bikers I laugh at are the weekend, dress up types parked outside the Thai restaurant looking tough..Like somebody said earlier, the guys with Harley underwear!! HaHa!! Too funny and too true.You can't beat America on a summer weekend.
^at least whistle tips are illegal. Keep in mind this is 100 percent a real story out of oakland and the news station is K.R.O.N. this still makes me ROFL.

No I said MY bike had carbs four of them one for each piston that was a bitch to get them in sync. And he'll yeh you can get a downed bike at auction for dirt cheap the beater Iam talking about didnt have a front apron was smashed to shit I guess from trying to run from the law or something hints the " police auction" lol not him taking out the Injectors and replacing with carbs... Is that even possible? Like I said I'm a grower not a mechinic..

Anything is possible my friend!
Didn't mean to give you such a hard time...
But yeah, you can go back from EFI to carbs, internal combustion only needs what's referred to as the stoiometric (sp?) fuel/ air mixture of 14.7:1, the motor doesn't care how it's delivered, I just wouldn't do it as there's a deficit of throttle response with carbs compared to EFI!
Oh, and carbs can be a bitch to synch, especially once you come into contact with bigger CV (constant vacuum) carbs, not sure what the 91 had, a little before my time, but I'd bet they're 35-40mm, which is pretty large!

I ride an old stroker HD. I think it's mostly in the way one operates the throttle how noisy the bike seems. I used to drag race this same bike and when you 'whip it' it's loud and fast. I don't ride on the street aggressively so it doesn't seem overly noisy. Just sounds like an old motorcycle. There are plenty of pick-up trucks around here who's owners think they are Nascar racing. Peddle to the metal. Yut, they seem overly noisy to me.
Buddy of mine lives on a private dirt road. Had a guy blasting his bike back and forth at top volume. My buddy stopped him and told him to go ride somewhere else because he was disturbing the neighborhood. Mr. Biker told my pal to FU and kept riding back and forth.
Meanwhile my bud put down his bottle of Jack, loaded up his twelve gauge and when Mr. Biker came by again he lined up , gave him a bit of a lead and blasted Mr. Biker right of his scooter. That's what happens when you piss off a retired LRRP who takes shit from nobody and has half a bottle in his sails. Mr. Biker didn't die but he was picking shot out of his leathers for a while. No cops involved, because they are too far away and we dont call the cops around here anyhow. Mr. Biker found a different road to ride on.
