everything is looking good your way GMT, wanted to stop in and see how things were goin for you these days and looking forward to watching as your grow progresses, take care and have a good one
Hi Prof, yeah they are a bit unruly.
Lol Dr, thanks, I'd love to, but they'll be happier inside, it's been snowing outside.
Thanks Old soul, welcome, I'll try and keep it upto date, this weekends update is only 1 day late.
Hey Dime, not seen ya in chat recently, things keep on creeping along here, dare say it'll continue for a while. You still north of the border?
Hi Drugley, yep plenty of space here, no late reg penalties either.
Thanks for the props, my camera cost £100. They're cheaper now, lots of peeps swear by Nikon and Cannon, but most of the clearest threads on here are using olympus cams.
Playing with the cam again...since you found that trick to make closeups your macro's improved like a hunderd times....very clear and beatyfull pics...nice going GMT !
Thanks Ton, Black and white are the best solution when the white balance isn't quite right in the original photos, or a good plan B. Whenever you see b/w pics, you know I screwed em up again lol. I actually like a nice b/w pic, I'll be doing quite a lot of them in here.
Thanks Core, yeah I'm pretty comfy with this cam now, of course a copy of photoshop helps alot.
Hi Corndog, well don't expect pics of the best plants I've grown, these are starved of sufficient compost, (I hate going to buy garden compost in mid winter). I'm not demonstrating how to produce the biggest/best buds possible, I'm demonstrating the difference in the best buds possible and what happens when you dont bother with all the tips and tricks. The point being, that for a newb to start growing simply and producing themselves some tastey smoke, is far simpler than you would believe reading some threads. The diffs are noticable, which is why some put so much work in, but they aren't the be all and end all. More importantly, using the tips and tricks without understanding why, will get you a worse crop than not using them at all.
hey again GMT iv been back from north of the border for a while now, just been real damn busy now that im back around so i havnt had much of a chance to actually sit down and keep up on the forums, but its good to have a few minutes to breathe here and there and puff a bowl, anyways hopefully one of these days ill catch you around in chat, and hope your week is goin great, puff er easy man
Hiya GMT
Sniff sniff - something smells marvelous in here... Ahhh man, been missing your humour! Now you're giving away your photo tricks - and here I thought you were getting back to Ansel Adams Basics How are you getting such good depth of field in your shots? Can you control aperture with your Olympus?

Hey Dime, back to churning the butter hey. Unfortunately, my week included a vissit to the dentist, but appart from that, it's coasting along.
Hey MGJ, lol, I do actually love nice b/w shots, not all of em are due to errors. I did a lot of searching on Ansel after you and Pack'n intro'd me to the pics, can't beat that style. Yeah my olympus has all of the controls you could wish for, and most I'll never use, but I do shoot in full manual mode, so iso, speed, focus type, metering type and most importantly ap control are mine. sadly I'm very limited in range, typically from 4 to 8 depending on lighting it sometimes comes down to 2.8. For macro shots I tend to use the F8, I'd use F22 if I had it. Sometimes I trade close detail for depth by shooting from an extra inch or two away. The higher the F# and the further away from the subject the greater the depth of focus, but it makes the pic appear flatter, so it's all a trade. Not that you need any coaching on photos, I've read your threads remember.
