If i had a built in griddle i'd cook everything a short order cook would make: burgers, dogs, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cheesesteaks, grilled cheeses, etc. Probably a good idea i dont have one cause that sounds like id gain 50lbs a year cooking like that.
Yeah, Buzz needs to get down on some green peppers, onions and mushrooms on that 'za. But maybe if you got too many toppings it can become overwhelming.

I will try to follow MLB more this year, not sure ill go to a game but having it on tv in the background will keep me involved. With 2 chicago teams, one in each league, shouldnt be too hard.

A pork loin is basically pork chops in tube form, doing the stir fry would work very well, or slice it thin, pound it thinner and dredge and pan fry it for some katsu like filets.
What kind of sauce u thinking, u got a good BBQ or japanese BBQ sauce? Isnt japanese bbq sauce basically bbq sauce with soy sauce added in?

thanks brother
hahahah, that is an ass kicking menu and i will have one of everything
we need to bring @superx in on this, no one can fry shit up like an irish man
the thing that=sucx is i dont have cable so its hard for me to catch the padres games most of the week
when i was into baseball i would listen to the radio broadcast and maybe i can pick up some of that for background noise
sure beats this frank zappa shit im always listening to

@buzzmobile

without a hitch
MamaD picked out the appliances and she let me build the kitchen to hold them. LOL The stove weighs 673 lbs. and it took some planning and 6 people to maneuver it into the house. There have been a few hitches along the way.
;)
what are some of the things you like to cook on it?
no onions on the pizza tonight?
Pancakes have been cooked many times, grilled sandwiches, searing pork loins, fried eggs, hash browns and other stuff. It's there when needed. No onions yesterday.

I don't like too many toppings on my pizzas. Too sloppy to eat. Onions (caramelized when I am not lazy) and mushrooms are good, green pepper on occasion. When you come over on a Friday I will make you a pizza with any toppings (except pineapple) you prefer, @Bababooey .

I have not done any shrimp netting. I do throw a cast net for bait in the surf. I have netted things that I did not really want to be in the net. Leatherjackets are one on the list. They hurt!

I intend to go coastal soon. The waters are warming and that brings pompano migrating. Too long since I have been in the salt water.

Actually, listening to ball games on the radio might be better, if anything baseball lends itself to radio broadcasts better than tv, with the slower pace and all.

Making philly style roast pork sammiches would be an idea, but im not sure what cut of meat he used, it was like a big thick tenderloin covered in fat? That was an interesting vid, TK, but he didnt actually give specifics on the recipe, or seasonings used.

If you go to bidspotter . com, u can maybe find a deli meat slicer from a restaurant going out of business. Or craigslist or FB marketplace u might find a cheap slicer as well. If u do get one, u probaby wont use it everyday, just make sure to clean it well after each use.

Yeah those big, gourmet ranges are heavy duty, can easily bend a wheel/leg getting it inside a home.
Hash browns! Yeah, a nice big flat top grill would be great for all types of hash browns.

That's interesting about the leatherjack fish, i guess make sure u have a pair of thick leather/rubber gloves when handling them.

Tua's injury tanked last season, they started 2-6 and finished 6-3 after he came back. Im not crazy about paying an oft-injured QB 53M/yr but what choice do they have? Without him theyre only competing for a top 10 draft pick. Maybe next season he'll wear a guardian helmet during games.

I follow the cubs more than the sox but wouldnt say im a diehard of either team, mostly a casual observer.

The philly roast pork is like the italian beef a little bit, roasted in an oven and sliced thin and placed back into the juice. No cheese on the italian beef tho, the bread they use is probably chewier so u need that juice to soften it up.

It was a good one. I make my sauce from a simple recipe. 1 can of Cento brand Italian tomatoes. 1 tsp Kosher salt, 1 tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp dried oregano, 3 Tbsp olive oil. I add about 1 tsp of Cento tomato paste.

It has taken a while to get the dough right and the weather has a lot to do with how the dough works.

My first MLB game was a White Sox/Orioles game at Comiskey Park. My great uncle took my Dad and me to the game. Sox did not hit any homers so I did not get to see the scoreboard fireworks.

another awesome looking pizza man
thats a nasty barb on that fish and not something i would want in my net
/but if you get got, peeing on it might help
that is a quick and easy pizza sauce recipe! and i might have to whip some up
even if im just eating dipping bread sticks it sounds really good
baking is a science where you have to take into account things like temp and humidity, lunar cycles and the tide
i tip my hat to good bakers

@shithawk420
that is a good looking sandwich hawk! is that an italian beef?
it looks like they put some green peppers on it too or are those pickle spears
freaking grinding!! man
how is the leg healing up btw?

@Bababooey
yeah i enjoyed listening to baseball on the radio and after a while you can kind of paint a mental picture based on what you are hearing from the announcers and the crowd
mind you this was in the days of the great jerry coleman!
oh doctor!

you can hang a star on that one
yeah im not getting a meat slicer
i used to pester the x about us getting one but like you said, its one of those things where you just use it a few times a year and then it just takes up space
i was at the store today but dident stop by the meat counter, but next time i will have to look into getting them to slice up some meat for me
tua is a good qb when he plays but he seems injury prone like you said
and its not the rolling around writhing in agony holding your crotch kind of injury, he is throwing up gang signs and you have to think thats not good
but just like every year i will outsmart myself and think of reasons to root for the fins
old habits re hard to break

Yes I do. That's the only kind to use. The Cento brand are San Marzano. You are correct about the cost but there is nothing better to replace them. $4.54 per can now.

Here's what I use for sauce.

Get a scale for weighing ingredients to make your dough. Baking is a science. Cooking is an art.

Yikes! Same size can is $12.25

Baseball seems to be mostly followed by people of a certain age nowadays, not sure if it's popular with the tiktok generation as much.
I think the steroids back then were more performance enhancing than the corked bat.

Simple recipes are always the best, Buzz. I remember the old Comiskey park too, bit of a dump but the fireworks shooting off behind the scoreboard were always fun to witness. I wonder if TK ever does Phillies games?

Those are sweet peppers on the italian beef, basically just roasted and skinned green peppers. Hot peppers on an IB would be giardiniera.

Never heard of jerry coleman but sounds like he had some great catch phrases. Did he come up with "The natives are getting restless"?

I actually bought a cheap $100 slicer back in the day, like 20 yrs ago, but yeah i used it like 2-3x then never again, lol. I think id use it more now if i had one, but still probably only like a few times a year.
I think the butcher counter will even cut bones or meat with bones for u if u need to, which isnt a thing u can do with a deli slicer.

crip signs.png

Which sign was Tua throwing up? I think it was the compton crip sign. Could have been double crip killa's as well.

I think i could get the huge can of san marzano tomatoes at sams club for a decent price, is the taste difference that pronounced between those and regular tomatoes?

jerry coleman was one of the best and just had this easy style of calling a game plus he was a fount of baseball knowledge
this was back in the days of the murph! when i lived i serra mesa just up the hill from mission valley
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_Stadium
my gf at the time enjoyed going to the games and we could be home after the ;ast pitch in time to watch the post game show on tv
so i tried watching the padres on tv yesterday, i lasted about 4 innings before i started flipping the channel
tua is samoan so here in socal he would be sos (sons of samoa) or one of the suis' (short for suicidal)
somans are great people if they like you but can be mean af if they dont
i just dont want to see him get perma hurt on the field or just as bad get that cte (he probably already has that) to the point where he is all f'd up after he retires

@buzzmobile
its in the can man! im going to pick up those things and make a sauce! do they have a good gravy recipe?
remember @G.O. Joe knows how to make a good gravy

Living close to a baseball stadium is pretty cool, if u dont mind the traffic and parking issues. I had a buddy who lived a few blocks from Wrigley back in the day, it was fun visiting him even tho parking was a pain usually. It's funny tho, we never actually saw a game in person, usually just played video games and drank.

Im like that with baseball games too, dont have the patience to watch more than an inning or 2. Even most football games my attention starts to wander unless the teams are scoring like crazy.

I didnt know there were samoan street gangs in socal, makes sense there would be tho. Did they like u well enough since ur part asian? Who'd they beef with, the black and latino gangs?

Wonder what GoJoe's up to. Hope his bets are going well. Im fine tuning my NBA bets, it's going better than i expected but there's always some regression.
