I can throw a cast net. Does that count? I have never fished a commercial net boat. As a kid visiting my cousins in Pensacola we used to pull a seine net off the beach near Fort Pickens. The net was several hundred feet long and it took several of us to walk, trudge, and swim it out from shore. Then we would work the net in an arc back towards the shoreline. It was hard work but worth the effort.

Chargers and broncos have 9 wins each (with 2 games left to play) and are #6 and #7 (last 2 wild card spots) in playoff standings in the AFC, the teams that are #8 and 9 (dolphins and colts) have 6 wins each with 3 games left. Just one more win by either the chargers or broncos will lock in their playoff spots, Fins and colts would need to go 3-0 the rest of the season and bolt/broncos 0-2 for that to flip flop.

Bo had 2 pass td's in the 1st half but denver got outscored 21-6 in the 2nd half. Has that been an issue for the broncos, fading after halftime?

Nix isnt lighting the world on fire yet but i like how he makes quick decisions and isnt afraid to throw the ball away instead of forcing a bad play. He had 5 int's in the 2 games before TNF but against the chargers he protected the ball like a veteran.

DJ Uiagalelei has a strong arm, probably puts more velocity on the ball than most nfl starters, but everything else about him as a QB is mid to bad. Slow footed, inconsistent accuracy, decision making subpar. He's an undrafted free agent and practice squad material at best. Hope he saved some of his FSU money cause he wont make a million/yr again.

Had ND -6.5, was quite happy at halftime and kicking myself i didnt make a 1st half spread bet, put a smaller bet on ND -17 and Indiana scored 2 td's late in the 4th, the last one after recovering an onside kick. Got a little greedy on that one i have to admit although that last TD sequence was, shall we say, improbable.
ND opened as -1.5 favs vs Georgia in the sugar bowl on new year's day but i think the line already turned towards Uga. I like the under 44.5 that game, both defenses are top notch and Uga is starting their backup QB after carson beck injured his elbow and ND's QB, riley leonard, is kinda shaky as a passer. The game will be in the Superdome tho so weather wont be a factor.

there is a couple decent places close to my home, but they arent open 24hr
so im easily at half chub with the football to going this morning and then we get pitt v b'more later today
the playoff picture is becoming clearer with a potential for both the broncs and chargirls to make the playoffs

I mostly watched the college football playoffs yesterday, went 3-1 on the opening round games, lost my Tenn bet, for some reason i thought they'd keep it close. After going down 21-0 in the 1st quarter im thinking i should have watched more TN football, on the road and at night they dont do so well. Also all 4 home teams covered easily in college playoffs, all the stadium atmospheres were electric, something to note for the future. The next rd will be at neutral site bowl games tho.

Another FSU QB is leaving, Luke kromenhoek is transferring to Miss St. We'll see if next year's starter is currently on the roster or whether they pay up for a good QB from the portal.

Fading the Bears today, including 1st half spread. Anyone with me? I like Bengals, Bill and Packers spreads too. Rams play the jets, rodgers and co are playing better but they needed a late score to beat the jags and mac jones last week, Rams are on a 7-2 streak, i like rams teased to -2.5 (from -3). Whatchu think, Pops, that rams D has really grown up during the season and Stafford-Puka-Kyren is a pretty decent big 3. I like Puka over reception yds too, maybe over receptions and anytime TD as well.
