that looks grinding all the way and it sounds like a good deal on the meal
thats part of the in n out magic; sure you can get a better burger but you are going to pay a whole lot more
there area ton of in n out clones around and you cant really go wrong as long as you arent paying too much; my favorite was this joint i went to when i was in college called ez takeout bruger
its basically a fresh burger with thousand island style dressing on it
they had good classic burgers and fries, plus they had some of the best shakes you every had
/flavors like berry and stuff like that
i hear if you shout poprocks three times while eating an in n out burger in the dark he will appear in the mirror standing behind you, holding a drink and asking "...can i get work off those fries"
with the firing of their oc, there are rumors that this might be rivers last rodeo with the bolts
its crazy in the chargers camp and who knows what will happen
im pretty sure m.gordon is gone and if we will see who else might be on the chopping block
the team looks like they are falling apart from within and its a total shit show
/btw: f-spanos
the rams are sitting nice and easy tho, on their way to a bye week coming off a two game winning streak
we face the steelers next week and then the bears
cant wait to see how the second half of the season shakes out
/this ones for the hommies my man

It’s a great deal for a burger and fries in Chicago, even McD’s is more expensive, and a lot of burgers joints are charging $10 or more for a burger without fries.
Yeah, I&O seems to hit that perfect price to quality ratio, and it’s just a darn good burger you can get in 2-3 mins. I think Anthony bourdain said his favorite California restaurant is I&O, but he’s an east coast guy so it’s more of a treat for him I think.
Heh, EZ takeout looks like the checkers/rallys version of I&O. Ur right tho, if everything is made fresh, even if quality isn’t the same it should still taste pretty good. Shakes are great, but theyre hard to mess up IMO, although if you get like real fruit in a berry shake that’s always a plus (may be hard to suck through a straw tho).

Lol, so instead of the candyman or Beetlejuice youre the I&O-man? Love it.

Chargers may be a mess but they still beat the bears in Chicago. I know whisenhunt and rivers were close but I thought rivers wanted to play at least 1 yr in the new stadium, which they will move to next year? Also, cutting Melvin Gordon would be extreme but wouldn’t be unhappy about it for my fantasy team, have ekeler on one of my teams. But definitely, after 12 win season neither the chargers or bears are having the same success this year, bolts are already firing coaches, bears may fire nagy after this season, it’s all a cluster-eff. And F-spanos too. Im not too happy with bears ownership either, their team president, ted Phillips, has only had sporadic success in the last 20 years, still cant get a decent qb or elite coach.

We have niners at cards tonite, usually divisional games are pretty competitive but im thinking SF might win by 30, their D and O are just too much for ‘zona. But we’ll see how it turns out, maybe kyler will pull a rabbit out of his hat, and Kenyan drake can make a play or two.

Cardinals did make it pretty competitive, and ur right the niners had to sweat out a few first downs at the end for the win.

'Zona mostly held their running game in check, so garoppolo stepped up big time, went through his progressions quick, made a lot of accurate throws under pressure.

I thought the hawks were the niners boogeyman, but apparently the cardinals hadnt lost in 4 years to the niners. They were the two worst teams in football last year, but two of the card's wins came against the niners.

Kenyan drake played better than expected, for only having been with the team a few days since being traded from miami. Niners D gave up some big plays, including an andy isabella 88yd TD catch and run.
SF has 1 more game against the cards, 2 against the hawks and 1 more vs the rams, makes me wonder how those games will go.

Well, bears lost again, this time to Philly. The eagles are one of those good-bad teams, theyve been pretty inconsistent since their super bowl win, seems like they could get dominated by anybody yet also beat anybody. Didnt take much to shut down the bears offense though. Trubs looks worse every week, nagy isn't helping matters either, and the bears are probably going to finish with a top ten draft pick which they'll owe to the raiders for the mack trade instead of using it on another QB.
Only plus side to this weekend is that all the nfc north teams lost as well. Bears play the lions next, detroits offense has been pretty good, their defense is getting worse though, maybe chicago has a chance...

Ravens dominated the patriots last night, was kind of surprised to see that. I guess the pats tried to shut down lamar's rushing, maybe he's just that hard to scheme for. He was shut down by the chargers in last season's playoffs, but he got a whole lot better in the offseason, not just passing either his running is a lot more efficient too. It'll be interesting to see how the afc shakes out, with chiefs, ravens, patriots fighting for playoff seeding.

ravens/ pats was a great game
l.jackson was moving the ball through the air and with his feet and had some of the best shake and bake from the qb position since m.vick!
i agree that hes only gotten betterin the offseason and we will see how far he can take the ravens
/its his team now
black cat was the big ground gainer in last nights game but the c'boys got their win against the giants
chargers defense came out to play and beat a.rodgers so that makes the thursday night matchup against the raiders interesting a big one for the afc west
/i still think they are in choke mode so im not expecting much;btw:f-spanos

Yeah HT, in the offseason Nagy was saying trubs had mastered the offense even more, he's on the 202 level (college classes starting with 101, going on to 202, etc). Unfortunately, he misses wide open receivers half the time, the other half he overthrows his target by 5-10 feet, and the O-line sucks at pass-blocking and nagy calls some BS plays. It's all pretty terrible, but what else is new?

Hey Pop, good to hear from you. Thought s-hawk and I had to send out a search party for you.
Lamar is playing so well makes me regret trading him from my fantasy team. Didnt think he could keep it up after putting up huge numbers the first 2 weeks against bad teams, but he's proving me wrong. Ah well.
Ever since firing whisenhunt the chargers are 2-0, but mostly because their D has come back to life. Against the bears you expect it but that was impressive shutting down a red hot packers offense until garbage time. The thurs night game against the not-bad raiders should be good, Gruden has re-established himself as a good offensive playcaller and the team might only be another good draft away from contending for a championship. Maybe your buddy might win that raiders pizza bet you made.
Supposedly there's talk of the chargers moving to London. Goodell and the league have a hard on for the UK/European fanbase and the bolts are having a terrible time drawing fans in LA. I sincerely doubt that would happen, kroenke would sue the pants off spanos (fuck him, btw) unless he could get another team to share the stadium. LA Jaguars, anyone?

happening brother, glad to be back
we will see how the bolts finish off their season but i always felt wisenhunt wasnt that bad an oc
the static on the chargers is this could be opening the door for rivers being moved on in some way
like i said, just rumors but i can see his window closing here soon if it hasent already
i dont see the chargers moving to london but who knows, i thought it was stupid moving sending them to los angeles and they did it anyway
/btw, i would totally become a la jags fan if that ever came to be
spanos even came out the other day and said he was totally committed to los angeles
you could almost smell his desperation as he dropped numerous f'bombs in the interview, proclaming his dedication to la
/news flash: los angeles dosent care
oh man, i remember you mentioning you had drafted l.jax when the season started
what did you get in the trade?
thats funny you mention the dark horse race, we were just talking about that the other day
looks like the g.minshew era is coming to an end, or at least being put on pause
big nick is going to be starting and hopefully he is ready to swing some wood
hope you are having a great week my man and are all set for the holiday season

Whisenhunt is a former head coach, and like probably 90% of HC's in the league, is a better coordinator than a head man. The team had a lot of O-line injuries this year, lot of injuries in general, and then melvin gordon came back and started off slow, they were like the first team in history to rush for less than 40yds in 3 straight games so Lynn felt he had to shake things up. Both MG and Ekelar had good games last week but thats mostly cause they had the lead against the pack, who couldnt move the ball against their D.

If rivers wants to move on maybe the bears would be interested in him? :)

It'll be interesting to see what happens next year in their new stadium, if it's going to be half empty most games, and most of the filled seats are fans of the opposing team. Already most of the fans in their 30K seat stadium are for the opposing team, theyre on track to sell like 1/3 of the season tickets they projected, just a giant miscalculation all around by the owners.

I think I got julio jones and davante freeman for lamar and kamara. Kamara has been injured the past few weeks and has only had one good game so far but he's coming back this week. Davante freeman isnt that good but has had a couple decent games recently. I had Dak prescott, he was pretty good for the first month or so, and now i have josh allen of the bills, he's got a decent rushing floor, but yeah seeing what lamar did against the patriots, i do miss him.
Funny you mention minshew, i started him over kyler murray last week. Kyler put up a good game against the niners and minshew had 4 turnovers, no td's against the texans. Minshew's had more good games than bad but after last week it's an easy call to go back to big dick nick.

the thing with the chargers in los angeles is that they were a san diego team for some many years (when the raiders played there) that you still have some of that rivalry going on and the fans just arent that interested
i understand how the head shed thought that you could just plug in a new team to the city and the fans would just eat it up, but most football folks in that area dont want to be charger fans
so today on pft, i saw they were talking about moving the jags to london
seriously, give it a rest
regardless of what the league wants, people just arent going to buy a product they dobnt want because you are selling it
i dont think rivers would be a good move for the bears and i would be looking to pick up someone with a little more tread left
he isnt going to play for cheap and he is totally in the twilight of his career; at best you might get a good year or two out of him and then you are back to square one
just saying, newton would be a much better move if you guys were really going all in on a new qb ( but not in the draft)
if carolina keeps him its a big cap hit next season but if they cut cam it will only be like 2m against the cap; i ont tihnk hes starting for the cats next year esp considering how their new young arm is playing
minshew kind of fizzled out at the end but he showed he can play at the next level
with the money they are paying foles they kind of have to get him back in the game but i think minshew bring a lot of swagger and potential to whom ever he palys for
that sounds like a decent trade, like you said kamara has been hurt most of the season and isnt posting up any points
j.allen has some upside and we will see how he develops with the bills
i think they are a team on the rise and he holds some value, esp if you have dibs on him next season
the kush is kicking in but its good to be back my man, so im going to kick my feet up and enjoy the game
hope you have had a great week and i am ready for the weekend!

Ice Cube the rapper/actor is a big sports fan, and as a raiders fan he hates the idea that the chargers are playing in LA. In his words, ‘they need to go back where they came from’.
LA didn’t have an nfl team for what, 2 decades, and they did fine without. Lot of college teams, lot of other pro teams, lot of other stuff to do (beaches, Disneyworld, Hollywood), lot of transplants from other states who were fans of their hometown nfl team; I don’t think many people in LA were demanding an nfl team. And now they have two, when they barely had enough interest for one team.

The nfl team in London may happen in our lifetimes, but what makes it really hard is the travel they would have to do. It’s at least a 6hr flight from the east coast, and double that from the west coast. A London team would be a real disadvantage having to take such long flights for every away game, 8x a year. They'd have to travel at least a day or two early so they can adjust to the time change, and then having to fly back and adjust again?

Rivers looked terrible against the raiders last night, threw 3 picks, one returned for a TD, and had 2 more picks called back by penalty. Yeah, that version of rivers would not be an improvement on trubisky, but at his best rivers is a 4k+ yard, 30+ tds, less than 15 ints QB who’s very durable. Like a rich man’s jay cutler. No, rivers isnt great, and he tends to choke in big games, but after years of watching trubisky, cutler, grossman, orton, any half competent QB would be a welcome change.

Newton will definitely get some interest around the league but I feel the panthers will keep him, at 20M next year if he’s a good QB that’s a cheap price for top QB play. He just needs to get healthy first. But ur right, if kyle allen balls out maybe they move on and trade him for picks. Still, with so many QB injuries this year, if you have 2 qb’s you can win with maybe it’s a good idea to keep them both if you can afford it. Same with Jacksonville, they’ll probably keep both Minshew and foles until it gets too expensive.

Weekend is just about here. Im excited for some college football tomorrow, Minnesota vs Penn state at 11am cst is between two 8-0 teams (Minny’s coach might draw interest from bigger programs like florida state) and LSU vs Alabama, #1 vs #2, at 230pm cst. Not sure if you’re into the college game, but those would be good games to watch while youre kush-locked to the couch…

morning fellas! ready for some football this weekend
me and the mrs are heading out for lunch here soon, im thinking something asian
im hearing you on how rivers is just a rich mans j.cutty!
/such hot taeke! many insight
spot on about the chargers and trying to push them in la
but now there is no home for the chargers to coem back to in san diego; the stadium deal passed and now the property belongs to sdsu/city
i think you are right that newton would be a hot ticket if he was up for grabs
we will have to wait and see what the cats do, but i just feel like they are going to move on
thats a great point about the travel times involved with and team in london
/i also wonder how much crowd the sport would draw after the initial enthusiasm wore off
what ever you are up to i hope its fun and you have a great weekend brother!

After watching him play Thursday, and then checking his career stats, I can see why you don’t particularly care for rivers. And it reminded me of when cutler was on the broncos and him and rivers had a bit of a rivalry. Cutler never really approached rivers’ highs for a whole season, the few times he did he would get injured which tanked his season.
The Aztecs own qualcomm now? Did they share before and now theyre the sole tenants?

Ur not the only one who figures cam is gone after this season. One of the most valuable assets in the NFL is a cheap franchise QB. Saving 20M next year and 30+M/yr the years after will let the panthers keep their other good young players, maybe sign some decent free agents. I wouldn’t mind Cam in a bears uniform if he’s healthy, he was the MVP 4 years ago. Although another possibility people are talking about is Mariota, our Off Coord was mariota’s college head coach. Not sure how I feel about that, he lost his job to tannenhill, who got let go from miami.

I think a London team would have to play like 2-3 games each time they come to the States, they’d have to stay here for 2-3 straight weeks because it’d be too hard to fly back and forth. I think NFL teams that play in London have a bye week after doing so?

Speaking of Asian, I saw this gif recipe online for a spicy beef ramen that looked yummy, and I had a slab of ribeye ive been slowly working through.

picture.php

So chopped some up, mixed it up with soy sauce, sugar, oil, red pepper.

picture.php

Pan fried some onions and mushrooms first, then the beef, then added some rice cakes and ramen noodles with its seasoning packets, and hard boiled eggs at the end.

picture.php

Not exactly like the recipe I saw, but the woman and I liked it well enough.

Detroit does Detroit things, with or without Stafford. Buffalo and their 8 for 13 kicker also detroited in Cleveland. Vegas nailed those 3 points for a push, getting paid by early +2.5, not to mention all the Saints parlays.

KC wrote their game off before the beginning of the week - they were just out there to have fun. Imagine Mahomes a Patsy with Belichick instead of doing clown shows with Andy. Speaking of horses put out to pasture, weren't the Saints making a statement that they're cool with Teddy? Everyone except Drew - intentionally, anyways.

Their opponents saw these things and knew they could win if they executed - the harder road KC most obviously didn't feel like taking.

that is a nice slab of meat there brother!
i like to buy my meat in those big cryopacks and then cut my own steaks
the dish looks dank as all hell man and i be it was super delish
have you ever tried those fresh noodles they sell in the refrigerated section; they are just like the ramen noodles but not the dried ones you get in those packages
its like the difference between fresh pasta and store bought and i think you would really dig them
my mom used to make hard boiled eggs and then soak them in like a soy sauce brine
something about your dish reminded me of them
yeah cam won a mvp a few years back and was the premiere qb in the league
he was a one man highlight reel until the rule change that offseason that let teams tee off on him because he was no longer in the pocket and considered a runner (not a qb) at that point
im sure he has a lot of good years left and could rise up again if he ias the right team around him
/da bears!
im not a fan of m.marriota and would not want him on my roster beyond a backup position
like you said, he lost his starting job to r.tannahill and has never really lived up to his potential coming out of college
it was a crazy weekend of games capped off by the best game of this season, sf 49'ers v seatle seahawks
hope you are starting your week off on the right foot and looking ahead to an aweseom weekend

It was alright, maybe not restaurant quality but I didn’t have any MSG on hand. J
It did have a bunch of meat in there, more than you’d typically get at a restaurant, so it had that going for it.
I DID have a package of those fresh noodles, actually used up a couple servings of it when I made this dish again, without rice cake. Didn’t take pics though, but next time I make it (soon, I think) ill be sure to show those noodles. Youre spot on about the fresh noodles, much better quality than the instant type noodles, although I think you can find some pretty good tasting instant noodles now, theres more variety if youre willing to spend a dollar or more (rather than 15 cents a pack J)

I do like fresh pasta but hardly ever buy it, the regular dry noodles like barilla taste fine to me, especially if you salt the water well and make it chewy (al dente). I may make some carbonara down the line, will post pics if I do…

I’d prefer cam over Mariota, but Mariota would likely come cheaper, wouldn’t have to give up draft picks, may sign for 10M/yr or less. Mariota has had some good moments when he’s healthy, maybe he just needs a change of scenery. Tannenhill seems to be playing as good as he ever has now that he’s on the titans.

It was a pretty shocking upset, Hawk, that the 1-7 falcons beat the 7-1 saints, not only won but dominated them pretty much. Held the saints under 10 pts, which has never happened to brees at home. And the bears won, although if Stafford had been playing they probably wouldn’t have. And now the bears play vs the Rams in LA on Sunday night football, Goff looks almost as bad as trubisky on the road against good defenses, but at home he should pull out a win vs Chicago.

Detroit isn’t playing well, Joe, but at least Stafford is having a bounce back year, after being pretty bad last season. They’ve had some injuries and the D has been getting worse as the season progresses, they’ll probably need a good offseason (draft plus free agency) to become playoff caliber again. Matt patricia may or may not be an improvement over jim Caldwell as head coach however. And ur right about the chiefs, weirdly mahomes has lost his last 3 complete games. Defense is still a problem more often than not; they play the chargers on Monday night, we’ll see if theyre able to right the ship then.

im not very happy with the way goff has been playing and think its more than a weak o'line and no run game
he just seems to have that deer in the headlights look going for him way too often and i wonder what happened to his game
he can still turn it around but right now i feel like hes stuck in a rut and need to change something up
we will see how they do against your bears and we will both be watching that one
/ill blow a cloud or two your way my friend!
yeah the fresh noodles are dank
i will even make them on their own with just some fresh black pepper as a side dish, sometimes we will sprinkle that everything bagel seasoning on them, they are good like that too
i remember you mentioning your carbonara before and it sounds dank
egg, bacon and pea? or something like that
i got into making my own noodles a few years back
its a really basic recipe with just flour and eggs; get a roller thing and they are super easy to make

Goff is really making a lot of Rams fans nervous, the team is stuck with him for the next 4 years at a ton of money but he’s been really shaky this year. He’s got some pronounced home/road splits, like Big ben had until last year, Ben would play like a top 5 QB at home but barely average on the road.
Maybe it’s not all on lack of pass protection, but their line is definitely a liability instead of a strength now. Even Brady can play like ass if he’s constantly getting pressured. Garappolo looked shook on MNF against the Hawks rush. Mayfield throws picks left and right when he’s under duress. But ur right, they have to be better at scheming around that if they want to score.
LA is clearly the 3rd best team in their division right now, but we’ll see what happens in the bears game, maybe they can jumpstart their season with a big win. One thing they have going for them is a pretty darn good defense, ever since trading for ramsey they’ve been a top 5 unit, so maybe that’s how they’ll win games from now on.

I used the food network (or maybe NY times) carbonara recipe, besides noodles it's mostly egg, cheese and bacon. Havent made it in a bit, the woman wants to lose weight and whenever i make it she cant help but eat a pound of it, it's good but very rich. Ill post pics next time i make it.

Fresh noodles are great, but making ur own sounds like a game changer if done right. Flour eggs and water, eh? Roll it out and cut it into strips with a pizza cutter? I’ve tried making my own bread and pizza crust a few times, usually didn’t like it as much as store bought, but I see those cooking shows where the restaurants make their own pasta in house, it always looks so good. Might have to try it out, it’s extra work but maybe not too much if youre efficient, mostly though you probably need a good amount of counter space to work on and mine is always so cluttered…
