Youre too right about the phone life cycle being longer now than they were even 5 years ago. Maybe the latest and greatest has a 10% faster chip or something but if your 3-4yr old phone still does everything you need it to then why spend to upgrade?
I was never into cameras, I’d imagine with how good phone cameras are unless youre a serious hobbyist or need it for work (social media ‘influencer’ or an actual photographer/videographer) you don’t have a DSLR. But I had a friend whose dad opened up a photography studio after he retired and ive heard that most of the expense is in the lenses, some of those lenses can cost 4-5x as much as a good camera body…
The most run heavy team now are the ravens, they rush on 55% of their plays, and set a league record for rush yds in 2019, but even then Jackson led the league with 35 pass tds (mvp season). The seahawks and niners, like SDD mentioned, when theyre run-heavy, will rush like 51-52% of the time. Most of the time the run-heaviest teams will have a running QB, so if SDD is right and trey lance is the starter sometime his rookie year, he’s much more mobile than garappolo so I could see a lot of designed runs being part of the gameplan.
But you make an interesting point, Pop, is that the league is all about the passing attack, having a great QB and elite receivers, 3+ WR formations, spreading out the defense and throwing short, middle, deep. But what if there’s some bad team with a new coach that’s desperate to try something new, and decide to sign all the unwanted players like Off lineman who suck at passblocking but are road-graders when run-blocking, QBs who suck in the pocket but good in play action and scrambling, and RBs who are downhill runners but cant pass block or catch to save their life? These are players who are mostly unwanted in today’s league but if you got them all together and committed to a 1980s or 90s style of old school offense, and just ran the ball down people’s throats and played keep away from the opponent’s high flying offense, 8-10 minute scoring drives, even if it only ends in a FG? With a stout defense, you could win a bunch of games like that, right?
