three more pita bread for a dollar is a deal, plus they give you extra meat
the bigger sauce is like icing on the gyro; if you have leftover sauce you can use it to dip other things in
why dont you think you would get this kit again?
im rolling em extra fat for the rams game this weekend brother!

rams game will be fun to watch but like you mentioned baba', mcvay does get conservative at times
im thinking they are going to lean on the run game and the rams main goal is to get out of this one with a win
if akers can have another game like he had last week they could come close to that spread, but 17pts is a big hill
/i can see the D adding to the fun but i just dont like the numbers if i was going to be laying out my hard earned money on this match up
oh and i am officially changing my take on c.akers
as you may remember, i wasnt too happy when the rams made him their first pick in this years draft
/i wanted them to take j.hurts who went to the eagles
i was wrong; this kid can ball and i cant wait to watch him develop over the next few
years
man, i hope for your sake that the bears do not resign trubinski next year no matter how he finishes off this year
/its just a dead cat bounce and you guys need to move on
plus i think there will be a decent group of free agent tallent/ young qb in the draft so you guys might come out ahead
everyone thoguht the dolphins were intentionally tanking last season when they basically traded away the farm but it looks like their gambit might pay off in the end
they dident make it to the bottom like they were hoping but still got their guy and look like they could be the turn around team of the year
/last season they ended up 5-11

ive never been to croatia and was just making conversation, disko
but from what i can tell its a place where rape jokes are supposed to be funny
this is a special time of the year around the world no matter which magic sky genie you choose to bow down to
even in yemen

Yeah, I’m mostly kidding about Trubisky, but knowing the bears history with QBs that would fit right in, they always seem to make the worst move. Giving up two 1st rd picks for cutler 10yrs ago, then extending him in 2014, they just always zig when they should have zagged.

That gyro kit sounds like a much better deal, that’s why I like the off brand or aldi/Walmart/samsclub brand better, same quality but you get more for your money compared to the name brands.

I hear you GJ, but sometimes the backups play better in games than the starters. Maybe there’s such a thing as a ‘practice player’, someone who always shines in practice and so gets the start but in real life games is pretty meh. I think it has to do with the fact that youre competing against the same guy(s) in practice all the time, and so you get used to their moves, whereas in a game it’s obviously different players lining up against you, and even watching a lot of film youre unused to how they play and so have trouble winning the matchups. Whereas sometimes the guy who doesn’t practice that well will come in and do surprisingly well in game action. But we’ll see, Jets are in full tank mode and need to keep losing, their strength of schedule is better than the jaguars so if both end up with 1 win the jags will get the #1 overall pick.

Chargers and raiders was a close game but yeah, not all that entertaining even though it went into overtime. Neither team could make a game winning play in the 4th quarter, chargers missed 2 FGs (lol same old chargers) and raiders couldn’t even get their super long FG attempt off. Herbert impressed again though, and I think StormShadow is right, Anthony lynn is a goner after this year. Not that he’s totally responsible for all the inexplicable ways the bolts manage to lose games (giving up 16pt leads 4 games in a row, special teams miscues etc) but like that old baseball saying goes, it’s easier to fire one guy than 25. happening baba', hope you are ready for a great weekend of fun before the holidays really kick off
i tihnk we get some extra football on sat (ill be watching the bills play for sure) and more games on sunday
looks like next week we get games friday, sat and sunday! woohoo playoff football is just around the corner
in some ways the chargers winning last night was a total chargers move and cost them spots in the draft
they did their best to charger the game away with the missed field goals and just sloppy play but herbert shined in ot
i tihnk hes pretty much locked in the roty and hope he has a decent career in los angeles
maroita had a decent game but you could see his inexperience at times and it felt like the raiders were off step without d.carr
aldis has these jyro kits too?!?
/in my best rick and morty voice, "you son of a bitch, im in "
there is one close by and my friend loves to shop there
im going to have to look for them next time in there
got any plans for the weekend baba?
its supposed to get into the 70s here so im hoping to get in a nice hike and maybe spin the wheels on my mtn bike, but otherwise i gots some football to watch
/plus a big bottle of vodka
its going to be on brother and im rolling em fat this weekend for me and hawk!

Youre right, totally forgot about the 2 Saturday games this weekend. This is when the league normally has some sat games because college football is over and bowl season is yet to begin, or it’s just minor bowl games on non-Saturdays. But because of covid related delays, Saturday we have some college conference championship games, including big ones of Clemson vs ND part 2, and Bama vs Florida. So might have to watch some college ball instead…
On Sunday we do have Saints vs Chiefs, a possible superbowl preview. Brees should be back from his broken ribs this weekend, so we’ll get to see each team at relative full strength. I hope it’s a good game.

Herbert will break the rookie passing TD record next week, and maybe set it to 31 or 32 instead of 27, which is a pretty good amount for any QB, let alone a rookie. I saw him in the pregame interview, he had cut his hair short, and with his acne he legit looked like he was 17 or 18. And even though he’s 6’6 and strong, he’s not that built on top, so sitting down in a chair you don’t see how tall he is and he doesn’t look like a football player.
Mariota looked pretty, pretty good for his first game action this year, ran with authority without getting hurt, accuracy was good for the most part. If Carr misses next game with his groin injury, maybe Mariota with a week of practice with the first team puts up an even better performance, and maybe they start talking about a QB controversy, although I think carr is under contract for 2 more yrs at 20M/yr, which is very reasonable for his abilities, but there’s very little guaranteed money on his deal after this season so if they wanted to move on…

Aldi is the bomb, yo, and I really don’t go there enough. It’s a German company, so I wonder if they have Aldi in Europe. Ya’ll got Aldi in the Balkans, Disko?

It’s supposed to hit 40 around the Midwest which is practically tshirt weather, wheee!!! But no, I’m not going out in a tshirt…

So the brand of gyros is Devanco foods.still haven't tried them yet but I imagine the difference is negligible.i tried posting pics but I'm out of data.looks similar to Kronos brand.

And Aldi is great.i think their produce is ranked 3 or 5 out of all the chain stores.walmart is at the bottom somewhere.they have decent meat too.In actuality Aldi isn't all that much cheaper.at least by me.i like Aldi's cause it's not as packed either.walmart makes me agoraphobic lol

Did anyone see the LV field on a motorized whatever the hell you call it? It literally rolled out.cant say I've seen that before. Poor Carr pulled his groin! Ouch! I thought Mariota had a few good passes.wasnt too bad of a game.saints vs chiefs sounds like a good game.i can't wait for Sunday.

Looks like Devanco foods is a Mediterranean food processor based in carol stream, a suburb of Chicago. I wonder how many of these companies there are that make gyros. They also make other stuff like Italian beef, burger patties, etc.
I love aldi but don’t tend to buy their produce. Youre right, they aren’t that much cheaper than going to a grocery store that has sales going on, but since the prices at aldi are everyday low prices I think that’s why people like them, don’t have to fuss with coupons or what’s on sale this week. Plus they take Link (food stamps) so that’s a bonus if you have that.
I didn’t realize LV had a moveable field, but apparently it’s because mark davis the raiders owner wanted a natural grass field for his team. So Allegiant stadium has a turf field for the UNLV football team, and then they move the big trays with the grass field over the turf field for raiders games. It seems that the cardinals stadium in Glendale AZ also has a moveable grass field so that’s where the idea came from.

yeah teh new field at raiders stadium is pretty rad!
like you said, its ona movable tray where they slide it out into the natural sunlight most of the time to let it grow and then on game day, slot it in under the dome
its a neat process and it allows them to lay down other surfaces for different events if they wanted to with out messing up their grass
im not a raider fan but i felt bad when carr hurt his weewee spot
mariota is a great backup and like you said, once he get in a few more reps with the first team he will look a lot better
but i just feel like his role is backup with the raiders and carr is where they are putting all their eggs
have they said anything about carrs groin yet?

im with you hawk and dont like going into walmart at all
the crowds dont help at all
aldis has good pre made stuff, where its not like a frozen pizza for example, but more like take and bake stuff
they have some weird brands too so i dont do mcuh shopping there, but im going to have to go and look for these gyro kits!

havea g reat weekend guys!

Yeah, jets at rams is the largest point
I know Disko, so much is shut down in America that it’s going to be a bah humbug Christmas here too. But yknow, vaccines are coming out so maybe 2021 will be much better. Certainly can’t get much worse. I’m so over 2020.
I think if you order the NFL package on cable or satellite TV, they will later air games with most of the stoppages removed (timeouts, commercials, referee reviews etc) so then you can watch a game in, well, an hour. Maybe this would be available the next day, so if you could wait a day to watch the game and avoid any news on the score, it would be a good way to watch a game quickly and still be entertained.

There are many migration thru my country for any major holidays , coz our families are pretty spread out,not for majority of people but for good amount.yes.. And with that idiotic decision they ruined christmas for a lot of people.. SO image that you from NY cant go to Philly.

Any way of NFL network is absurd pricey when you look at our standard.. So I'm fine with here and there watching live game and High Lights..

@pop_rock I'm smelling some kind of feeling of being insulted, from your side.. Am I talking to SJW SnowFlake?

You never been in Croatia, So you trying to have convo with this ignorant way??

I know that some of you living in USA fell like self sustainable , but there is some level of respect showing while talking to foreigner not being half offensive and ignorant..

And yes I come from place nothing different than any other western europien countries.. Yes we have running water, pluming s,toilets with running water, electricity (ever heard of Tesla? )yeep its our boy, inverter and not thief as edison), we dont prosecute gays,we have free HELTHCARE , we celebrate Christmas, ester too, we have cemented roads, trail, even trams too..

And If you were offended of my comparison watching pats like watching rape.... So tough for you..
I dont know how do you manage to survive these tough internet streets full of bad offending words and other offend stuff non liked by sissy poeple..

I grew up on British Humor,black/ghetto humor, and I love humor as an art..

Guys, take my advice I learned from that great totally made up philosopher named Rick Sanchez: “Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. We’re all going to die. Come watch TV (football)”. Lol.

I think Pop just mentioned that cause you made some comment on how frustrating it is to watch some teams, like a guy who can’t get it up when having sex with a woman, although you used the term rape. Maybe it was an error in translation, or maybe you’re just guilty of watching too much bdsm porn, which *ahem* I’ve seen/heard of such things before, heheheh. I didn’t think much of it though, either your comment or Pop’s. I mean, im the guy who made a joke about giving blowjobs for $20 if my bets don’t pan out, im sure that wouldn’t be funny to someone who actually has to do that sort of thing out of desperation, but there it is, not every joke will be politically correct. I've heard it said that all humor is making fun of someone or something.

Here I am watching the bears get a win over the Vikings, and possibly get the last playoff spot if the cards lose vs Jalen hurts and the eagles later today. Not sure how I feel about that, I guess if the bears somehow make the playoffs they won’t fire everybody?

i think it was your run game that took over the game against the vikings but i havent seen the stat line yet so maybe trubinski had a hand in this win
just watched the rams shit the bed again in a game they should have won
even after spotting the jets what, like 17pts, they were able to coem back and actually take the lead, until a penalty called back a touch down late in the 4rth q
from then on the game was in j.goffs hands...
we saw how it turned out and i think this was a big loss for the rams
not only does seatle have the prime spot in the nfc.w, but we have to play the cards and seahawks to finish off our season
if they come out like they did today against the jets it dosent looks good going into the post season

I had the bears game on but wasn’t following it for the most part, I was mostly watching red zone. So I was surprised to see that the Bears ran 42x and only passed 21x, which is like the exact opposite of Nagy’s usual game plan. So makes sense that they won, lol. Trubisky only had 200yds passing, 1td and 1 int, but chipped in 8 rushes for 35yds. I know Montgomery, after sucking most of the season, has really turned it on the last few weeks, and he had 150yds and 2tds. So that’s nice I guess, something to look forward to next year, having an actual decent run game.

That Jets upset was a shocker, but in retrospect they had been playing better of late, and Gojoe mentioned that they had some injuries so bettors weren’t touching them so the bookmakers had to move the line so much to get them to bite. So really they shouldn’t have been 17pt dogs. Their D is pretty legit and Darnold isnt good but made some clutch throws yesterday and of course frank gore is the ageless wonder. And like you said, mcvay went for the TD instead of the game tying FG late, and then also I saw a cam akers TD called back on a holding penalty. Just a lot of little things that added up to a big upset loss. I still think the rams can win the West though, they match up well with the cards and hawks so I can see them going 2-0 to finish off the season…
But youre right, if Goff is put in a position to come back against an 0-13 team and can’t do it, what hope do they have in the playoffs when every team they face will be good? Well, at least he hasn’t sunk to Wentz levels of bad, who looks like he’s lost his job to a 2nd rd rookie QB.

happening baba! hope your week is off to a great start
how many days are you working this week? hope you get a short week at work and a great long christmas holiday
do you have any plans for a christmas feast?
the rams have this ability to underplay at the worst times and we saw it this weekend, especially in the first half of the game
they played better in the 2nd half, but it wasnt enough to overcome a bunch of penalties and the questionable play calling
they have beaten both the cards and seattle this year, but this is crunch time and we will see who is ready to step up
/it looks like the az and the hawks are stepping up at the right time
so with az win yesterday, does that mean the bears are totally out of the race?
i think this would be a good time to plug in some new players and start looking ahead to the future
hopefully santa blesses you guys with a new qb under the tree and you can turn the page on the trubinski era
hope you are starting your week off right brother and are all set for the holiday!

Hoping to have both Christmas eve and day off but who knows right? Some bullshit will come along to ruin my holiday, doesn’t even have to be work related. But that’s 2020 for ya…
Im going to make some mac n cheese but have no solid plans for a traditional Christmas feast. I think last year I just made Italian beef sandwiches for the holidays, that worked out well I think…
It was surprising the jets jumped out to a 17pt lead when the rams were favored by 17, lol, but I figured the rams would adjust and come back in the 2nd half like they did against the bills, and they did, but too little too late.

Cards are 8-6 and in the last playoff spot, bears are 7-7 and just behind them. Not sure what happens if they finish with the same record, maybe it comes down to conference record, or divisional record tiebreaker?
I want a new QB but the cynical side of me thinks it will just end up a disaster like the cutler and trubiski tenures, but maybe one of these days the bears will get it right. The jags have the #1 pick for now, if they get trevor Lawrence maybe they’ll trade us the Minstache, he played poorly this year when he had an injured thumb but overall I like his pocket awareness and accuracy…

hopefully you guys will be in the hunt the last week of the season and my rams can help you out with a win over the cards
i think we are pretty much locked into the playoffs but it would be nice to have some having momentum going into the post season
/a win against seatle and the cards will help
so i found a neat container of weed on my walk today
the said purple punch on it
i have a friend who grows this strain out and it smelled like the real deal but when i tried a taste it was not the same
what do you think about darnold going into the offeason
i wonder how much of a chance he has being in ny next year?
if you had a choice would you rather see ghost or a 70s pornstach on your sidelines?
mac and cheese sounds grinding and it goes great with just about anything
/heck, give me a big bowl of mac and abag of lays and im good
have a great week no matter what you do brother and i hope you are enjoying the holidays

LAR took the day off like Ben is tonight. This weeks number has LAR -12 vs NYJ, and they were due for a fade after 2 good games in a row. The better records you keep you find things like that. There have been very few instances of teams having 3 good or bad games in a row this year. But it's hard to say why.

There were a couple times with Chicago that the ref screwed up and ran them out of time, then after the game the network goes to TB, where the ref not only gives them a free yard and 1st down with a minute left, it's upheld on replay that clearly shows it short, totally screwing ATL.

Mitch didn't throw much because he started making bad decisions again. Taking on 3 guys running like he was Gronk, then throwing the INT. He didn't throw much if at all after that. Kirk was sharp but Mitch had the better OL. NYJ's OL was good for 3 ypr.

Left for the casino while Miami was at -1.5 and got there in range at +1.5, and there was $50 in the kiosk, so I took them and it. Turned out that my numbers (averages) beat the closing spread except for NO, NYG, DET, and JAC. It pays to be at the casino when the game is about to start and maybe the book looks to even out their risk, but my money is already down this week. MIA and CHI are paying for ARI and ATL. It also pays to have a number for next week ready to go after the game before pros move bad early lines.

There is something about the state of Illinois and bad hiring decisions.

so whats your take on az this week goJ'
cards have an explosive young qb and im hoping they can beat a cobbled together 9ers team
/a rams win v the hawks' or a cards win guarantees the rams a spot in the post season
thats a good point about getting your bets in later to take advantage of any last minute swings
hope you had a great time and enjoyed the games
/do you do other stuff at the casino while you are there? or do you just watch the games and maybe enjoy a buffet

so what do you guys think was the biggest upset this week
rams loss to the jets (a big loss for the jets in a way because it put them in the #2 draft spot) or the bengals upsetting the steelers?
last nights game was a fun game to watch for cinci fans and i think once burrows comes back that team could look pretty decent if they can stay healthy
might want to add some pieces here and there but they have a good core to work with

getting close to the holidays and hope everyone has the merriest of seasons
eat, drink and be festive my friends, lets finish 2020 off with a bang!

I’m actually divided on if I want the bears to make the playoffs, Pop. If they do, and god forbid they actually win a playoff game with mitch under center, I think they bring back everyone (QB, coach, GM) next year. Which would be a mistake, we all know their limitations and ceiling.
Nagy has been having his Off Coordinator Bill Lazor call plays the last couple weeks, so no wonder they ran so much against the Vikings. But still I think it’s too little, too late. I’ve had my hopes up before only to have them dashed within a few games.

Miami beat the pats by 10, so you would have won either way, Gojoe? I hope your bets pan out for next week, youre taking cardinals -5 over the niners and atlanta +10.5 at the chiefs? I could see the cards winning by that much since the niners have been kicked out of California but I could easily see the chiefs covering that spread, even with the falcons improved play on D.

Maybe the bears will hire pat fitzgerald, the northwestern football coach, as their next Head coach. Not sure it’ll work out, you can never be sure really, but that’s a rumor I’ve heard.

EDIT: Steelers were favored by 14.5 over the bengals so it is a rare weekend indeed when two teams that were such big underdogs win outright. Bets on the dogs might have returned 8x your money or more.

Steelers O has been getting progressively worse, and Big ben looks washed. His arm, despite the elbow surgery last year, looks shot and he's no longer mobile enough to buy time and let routes develop. Funny enough, the browns might win the afc north outright if they beat the steelers in the last game of the season. Whodathunkit? But they went from 11-0 to 11-3 and a lot of their fans think they wont win another game this season (have colts, then browns, then playoffs) and actually want Ben to retire if this is what he's going to be like. When you're rooting for mason rudolph to enter the game, you know it's bad.

so what do you guys think was the biggest upset this week

They were very similar games, and TB almost was. The casino sucks and I only rarely stay to watch the game. If they give me a lot of money I might try a roast beef sandwich. Not a whole lot of faith in ARI (Larry's first TD this year was last week), only the opening line was attractive. There is some worry that their offense can be stopped.

Ben's been in decline since I said they were executing. This stretch of the schedule isn't their easiest though. His arm is probably more toasted than they admit, but if it was better it probably wouldn't help them much, they've definitely faded and so has KC. People are figuring out both of them, they've had injuries and people being ineffective and not playing sharp. I wonder if Mahomes is going to hurt his arm too on those funny throws.

KC has not won by more than 6 since NYJ week 8. Another fading team HOU should also have a difficult time getting over 7 if CIN can score.

Miami beat the pats by 10, so you would have won either way, Gojoe? I hope your bets pan out for next week, youre taking cardinals -5 over the niners and atlanta +10.5 at the chiefs?

I got in early on ARI and hope so too! It's always good to get the points. Of course, ATL does have the capacity to give up a tremendous amount of 4Q pts.

Put plenty of butter on things to piss off the Croats and please do stay healthy.
