I got here too late to help you, Doooooooooob.

I would have suggested making burger "pucks", something like a slider only harder to chew. Use a 1/4 cup measure and cook the burger until it is hard and black. Squirt some ketchup on it and call it a Puckster.

Sorry I was late. Hope that helps, and don't forget the Cal Mag.

I used to buy hamburger helper back in the day, DB is right, it's not that great, commercials and pics on the box make it look so good but it's pretty meh when you actually make it. If u have pasta noodles and some sort of tomato sauce and seasonings u can probably make something better on ur own.

I would have suggested a chili of some sort, DB, do u like beans?
The burger 'puck' doesnt sound that appetizing if u cook it that hard, Buzz, but is it actually pretty good? I suppose making it small and thin is key.

I was going to mention the KC parade shooting, hawk, i think most of the time im the only one mentioning actual football in this thread. 2 Juve's have been charged with the shooting, and a woman was killed, both taylor and travis each donated 100K to her family.

Speaking of football, Buzz, I think the ACC lawyers are trying to claim in the FSU litigation that giving espn a free 5 yr extension (with no input from the member schools) to their broadcast rights deal didnt constitute a 'material change' in their contract. I know billable hours is undefeated but i dont see how highly paid attorneys can make such claims with a straight face.

Yeah I ended up making hamburger helper it was a stroganoff one it wasn't that good

I made a lot of that, and not any other HH offerings, in the 80's and didn't mind it at all. But not since 87 and there's no way it's the same now. If a product is good, profits will soon be doubled by changing the quality of the product until it isn't good. Which brings me to Mahomes-endorsed Hunt's ketchup, which I found was the best for sloppy joes through the 90's but haven't tried since.

Honestly it's tragic that said iconic staple had not been mentioned until now. I can only assume it's because some part of salt pepper ketchup onion (preferably powder) Worcestershire sauce mustard (preferably powder) and vinegar (cumin paprika and hot red pepper optional but preferred) is not on hand. It got me high sometimes. Seriously I think chemistry was being done and receptors were affected.

Here I thought that I had made it sound ridiculous enough not to have to share the recipe, @Bababooey . It was a 'theme' meal for @D. B. Doober while he watched hockey.

Wake me when it's over.

yeah but nobody wants to adress the problem 2 fucking braindead celebs who where probably in on the pshyop through some money and now its ok?
The problem is you believing in a PSYOP, @shithawk420 .
Knuckleheads were at work that day, not "2 fucking braindead celebs".

Red Cross is really getting on me... There's lots of training they want me to do. There's also weekly meetings they want me to go to now too. It was just supposed to be a volunteer thing. 12 years now been with the Red Cross

Psy-op? There's a conspiracy theory that the league wanted the chiefs to win the superbowl cause of swifties, but the reffing in that game wasnt controversial at all.
I guess since the perps are juveniles they wont release their names but seems like typical gangbanger $hit that went down in an unfortunately crowded area so casualties were massive.

Decent looking sushi plate, DB, what's the yellow stuff in the top pieces? Looks like egg or mayo?

Yeah i think i was eating hamburger helper in the late 90s early 2000s and it was lacking for the most part, i think the lasagna one was decent flavor but the others were just meh.
Like GoJoe says just get a decent spice supply and you can cook up stuff at home that's better than the cheap crap u get at the store or most fast food places.

Haha I totally forgot that you quoted his hockey post when u gave the burger puck recipe, my bad, Buzz.
It'll probably take a year or three for the ACC/FSU litigation to resolve itself so yeah, best to just tell u the final result, but if other schools get involved or they come to some sort of settlement could be sooner than that. Also the big ten and sec are forming some sort of alliance so that could impact how the CFP works.

Youre a red cross volunteer, DB? I imagine that might be a good place to meet wimmen.

Looks good, PC, love good Eye-talian food. What's that 2nd dish, looks like half eaten chicken wings covered in marinara?

Yeah I've been volunteering at the Red Cross for over 10 years since like 2012. I once did an overnight shelter it was on Easter somebody lost their whole house so I had some extra chocolate and I brought it and the kids were really happy. I've done lots of training I know how to disperse insurance payments and stuff I'm just kind of scared to do it alone. My boss got back to me this morning he said I don't have to go to the meetings in person that they're like online now it's like web meetings or zoom meetings or whatever so that helps I won't have to travel 2 hours into the city to go to the other side of town.
The yellow stuff is actually tempura shrimp.
I have to get qualified to drive the erv Red Cross vehicle they're supposed to be like a road test and stuff so I'm kind of scared about that. My job is basically to go to a scene of a fire or disaster and assess whether or not it's salvageable and then disperse money to them get the insurance payment started get the insurance process started and then also get them a motel or hotel room for a week or so
