Patriots are going to score at least 17.5? Ok, ok. They havent announced who will start at QB and wont till just before game time. It's either zappe or grier if jones doesnt start.

I dont think ive ever bet on an olympics either, DB, that might be interesting. Hopefully the odds the books give out are decent. They probably won't be tho, like a gold medal favorite will be -400, pays out 25c for $1 bet. Still, could be 'free money', up until they lose lol.

Washington leaped FSU for the 4th CFP spot, probably because of the injury, Buzz. But like u said, plenty of football left to be decided, OSU or Mich will have a loss, UGA has to face Bama in their conf championship, and Wash has to face Ore again. We'll see if rodemaker can still lead the 'noles offense to points. They got some guys at the skill positions that are nfl prospects, yeah? Then all he has to do is get the ball in their hands and let them make plays.

U call it turkey sandwich day not black friday? That fits too, less consumerist. Jets will be starting tim boyle, with trevor siemen as #2 QB and zach wilson as #3. As much as jets fans are glad they dont have to watch zach play QB anymore, i dont think theyre excited about watching his backups either.

I must explain the importance of turkey sandwiches to the female half of the team that lives here. We are going to my sister's house for dinner with brother and spouses and with niece, new husband and great nieces. That means my lovely wife will have no leftover turkey for sandwiches the next day. I bought a 15 lb. turkey on Tuesday. It is in the freezer now ready for roasting on Saturday. MamaD will have turkey sandwiches, and so will I.
:D

BONUS: MamaD is not a 'shopper' so Black Friday means too many people.

Go Noles!

Im not sure turkey sandwiches were ever a big thing in our house post holiday, we mostly just ate the leftover turkey with the leftover sides. It gets tiresome after a while. Do you make a thanksgiving holiday sandwich, put like stuffing in there and cranberry sauce, etc? Wawa i think has a sandwich like that they sell during the holidays, supposed to be good.

I went to a Target black friday sale in the city for some discount TVs, never again. Had to line up at like 3am and it was a madhouse, cops had to be there to make sure no one got too rowdy.

Ive always liked bobby bowden and the noles' color scheme (garnet and gold) so ill be rooting for ur team as well.

It should be entertaining if not exactly close. We'll see what rodemaker can do as the starter, and UF might be feistier than expected. It's a big weekend of college football, last game of the season, lot of rivalry games, and then the conference championship games and afterwards, bowl games and the playoff games.
Happy thanksgiving btw.
I have some pics to post of all the cooking we did. Hawk, did u cook anything special for the holidays? DB, did u get some more fried clams for thanksgiving?
Watching these nfl turkey day games. Packers winning already ruined one of my parlays, ah well...

Hey baba booey no more fried clams lately not since last time. But we did have Chinese food yesterday for Thanksgiving that was pretty awesome there's a lot left. No dishes we used paper plates. How was your Thanksgiving man?

Haha, ive done the chinese food for thanksgiving/christmas before, it's always a good meal and like u said, zero food prep and very little cleanup.
I actually bothered to spend a good amount of time cooking up a holiday meal and it came out pretty pretty good. Brined and smoked a turkey, was still a little dry, should have brined it for 24-48 hrs, i only did it for 16hrs because of lack of time. Next time ill buy the turkey a couple days earlier.
Also smoked a ham and a small bone in beef rib roast, the ham was a fully cooked shank ham that i bought around easter and has been in the freezer since then. Rubbed it with hot mustard (from chinese food takeout packets haha) and brown sugar and covered in diced up pineapple, and the beef roast was marinated in a korean bbq sauce and i just laid it next to the ham cause it wouldnt fit in the smoker in its own tray. The smoker started losing heat after 4 hrs so finished it in the oven at 350 and they turned out really really nice. Also made a full complement of sides, baked mac n cheese, potatoes au gratin, dressing and candied yams. All in all it was probably the best holiday meal ive made to date, would do this again for sure.

Pretty awesome man you sure know how to cook. Bet it was good. Saw my share of deep fried turkey accidents on Twitter the past few days to last a while. Always wondered what it's like. How was the ham? I like ham. We have Honey Baked Ham Company here, usually near Easter. Ham is crack

They ship

I actually did the deep fried turkey one time, like 12-15 yrs ago, the accidents happen if u use too much oil in the pot (overflows once the turkey is put in) or u put a frozen turkey in (the water from the ice boils up and overflows the oil). Once the oil flows down from the pot onto the open flame them ur talking about a big oil fire and that's dangerous.
Ive also tried the deep fried turkey that Popeye's sells every holiday season, it comes cold and u have to reheat it in the oven. I will say deep fried turkey is a little moister than regular roasted turkey but not enough imo to justify the added hassle/expense.

The ham turned out great, fork tender and I liked the sweet pineapple on it, helped to balance out the saltiness.
Ive had the honey baked ham food before, bought it for one thanksgiving when i didnt feel like cooking, it was great quality but pricey.

Thanks Buzz. The beef turned out good too, the woman's cousin loved it and ate most of it. The thing was that the ham and beef created all this juice in the pan, and i didnt add any water in, thought that was a little strange but it kept everything moist so no worries.

When FSU fell behind 12-0 i was starting to get a little worried but like u said their talent started taking over and they grinded out a win. I guess rodemaker's first start of the season, coming at a rival's stadium, wasnt ideal but he was ok after he settled down and getting a shoulder to the head while sliding after a scramble helped set up the game sealing TD.
They beat the spread it was alabama that screwed up a couple parlays I had. Ah well. Made it back with bets on Michigan and the under on iowa-nebraska.
With ohio state losing, if fsu can take care of louisville, who lost to kentucky, they should make the playoffs. They probably wont advance with rodemaker at QB but to even make it is pretty impressive. Who's going to be QB next season with travis gone? Either rodemaker or a transfer QB, or maybe some hotshot freshman?

I would have to describe myself as nervous as a cat covering shit. I think Rodemaker will be the #1 QB in the spring. He was the first commitment to Mike Norvelle when he arrived. Jordan Travis was better, but Rodemaker is no slouch.

We'll talk FSU in the CFB playoff if they beat Louisville. 13-0 would be hard to overlook.

More practices with the ones and playing at least 2 more games (conf championship and CFP) will help rodemaker get better and possibly secure the #1 job for next season, like u said. With the talent they have at WR and RB, FSU's qb just needs to get the ball in their hands and let them make plays.
Louisville's best wins came against Notre Dame and a Duke team with a hobbled riley leonard. They lost yesterday to a 7-5 kentucky team. So long as rodemaker avoids turnovers i feel like theyre going to win easy. If Michigan, Georgia and Washington also finish 13-0 after their conference championships, it'll be those 3 and 13-0 FSU in the playoffs. Things will start to get freaky if one or more of those teams lose and finish 12-1, but any 13-0 teams will definitely make the CFP, i agree with u.

I think the implied probability is that Patriots score around 20 pts and the Giants around 16 (O/U is 35.5, Patriots favored by 4.5), DB, so ur bet SHOULD win. I dont know, i might take the under for the game as a whole, wack jones split reps with zappe but is expected to start, he wasnt good with all the 1st team reps so you'd expect him to be worse splitting reps but maybe it'll light a fire under him to make plays. Also giants are starting an undrafted rookie at QB and belichick loves to torment rookie QBs, especially bad ones. Just cause i take the under for the game doesnt mean ur over for the patriots won't win tho, especially if they can get a defensive score. Best of luck, hope we both win.
