even if there are pure landrace strains its to dangerous.reminds of the documenty with Arjan and franco went to the congo and had to hire locals with AKs for protection.it took them forever to finally find some seeds and then Franco Loja caught fucking Malaria and died.be dangerous in Mexico to.

looks like the Titans are gonna get $1.6 billion stadium with public fundshttps://www.si.com/nfl/2023/04/26/tennessee-titans-1-26-billion-public-funds-new-stadium

Yeah, im sure commercial growers/cartel farmers are interested in the strains that will do well in their environment and offer the most bang for the buck (matures quickly, heavy buds). The avg consumer out there isnt too concerned about uniqueness and rarity of their bud or the high it gives, at least not enough to pay more for it, enough to compensate the grower for the added expense and lower yields.

6 drinks? Like 6 shots or 6 glasses? Keeping it to a set amount is a good way to start setting boundaries on ur drinking, do that for a week or so then maybe you can get it to 5, couple weeks, then 4 etc. Like ur friend said maybe the real key is to not drink at all but gotta wean yourself first, ur body physically cant handle going cold turkey.
It might be a 2 steps forward 1 step back type of thing with ur drinking but that's ok too so long as you keep trying.

I remember arjan from back in the day, he's the owner of greenhouse seeds in amsterdam? And he had a show called strainhunters on Vice? That's cool, not sure if ive ever seen it. Sometimes i see that show Intervention on vice, that can be pretty hardcore as well, cant watch it more than a few minutes at a time.

Yeah, i heard nashville is issuing 750M in municipal bonds for a new titans stadium, and the state of TN is pitching in 500M in bonds, and the rest will come from the team, the league and the sale of PSL's (personal seat licenses).
Makes me wonder if the bears will get any govt bond financing for their new stadium out in arlington heights. I guess they want to develop a whole mixed use area around the stadium, restaurants and shops and entertainment and condos etc, so the team wont need as much govt help as they normally would since they'll profit off the mixed use development as well.

1st round of the NFL draft is on tonite on ABC. Im thinking of placing a small bet on the bears drafting either jalen carter or peter skoronski. Carter might go to the Lions at #6 (the pick from the rams for the stafford trade) if theyre not scared of his involvement in the dui crash of his college teammate and staffer.

mixed use spaces are all the rage right now with these stadium rebuilds and san diego has done pretty well with them in petco park and the new sdsu center being built
old stadiums took up a lot of space with parking and stuff but dident make the most efficent use to the space
like you said housing, restaurants and shopping make it more than a place to watch sports and bring in people year round
im not about to be going downtown but the area around petco park has been transformed from bum town to hipster villages
they even have these sweet ass apts/ condos located on the perimeter of the park
the people who live there get free baseball out their window and i hear some of the buildings even have roof top things set up
plus new biz moves into the area, bars, food stuff like that and the neighborhood benifits
its always glasses babs
but it was a step in the right direction and i think i might try working it into the rotation
i havent seen brick from mex in decades, but im sure its still out there
with increased border enforcement the cartels are now growing here on us forest land and national parks
maybe one day mex could become a weed tourist spot, just like cancune and other spots are hot spring break locations, but i think mex is dangerous for most people right now and if you are a gringo that could go double depending on where you go
the draft will help clear up some ??? and we will see what shakes out
i have never thought of betting on the draft, just be sure you dont do it on the comapnys network

Yeah, seems like san diego was one of the first to do it, building a new stadium right in downtown, near all the other attractions.
There are 3 flat apartment buildings around wrigley field that have rooftop decks to watch the game, i think like 10 years ago they tried suing the cubs because some of their renovations would block their view.

Yeah, ive heard a lot of large scale growing on us land is done by cartel affiliated people, seems wild that a group of dudes can just live deep in the woods for months taking care of acres of plants. Maybe that can be ur next camping trip, longer term than ur used to but at least you'll get paid.

There was a lot of trading during the draft, texans got started early by picking at #2 and then trading for #3 - had to give up the #12 pick (from the browns for watson) and a 2nd rounder and a 1st rounder next year but they got will anderson, maybe the most sure fire star in the draft. Then the cardinals moved up from #12 to #6 (using the 2nd rd pick from the texans) to grab the O-lineman that kyler murray wanted. Then the bears traded down from #9 to #10 with the eagles so the eagles could get jalen carter. So I lost my bet that he would go to the bears, i guess the bears thought he was too much of a risk to draft after the whole car crash thing, and showing up out of shape to his pro day. Chicago only got a 2024 fourth rd pick to move down 1 spot, didnt seem like much of a return, they got an Offensive tackle from tennessee (where's armedoldhippy?) who could be very good, but if jalen carter wrecks the league this trade down wont look good in retrospect.

yeeehhhaaaww! txns wreck the draft
those rootin tootin wild boys from tx went qall in and i think they came up biggly
we will see how these guys pan out but the txns are making their moves now
also grabbing two of the top rated draft picks is a good boost to the brand
not a fan of j.c but i wish him the best, i wonder if any of his draft money will help out famiys he hurt
the txns moving up actually smoothed things out for the colts and they got to draft a new qb w/o having to trade up
wriglly field is their own entity and dont owe the neighboring buildings shit
/unless there was some kind of pact
you can point and cry all you want but as long as they were in municipal compliance and dident intentionally hurt their neighbors, f'them
i think here in sd the fancy apts are build into the stadium, i could be worng on this so they might have some kind of deal with the team
we are your outer wall so dont build another wall in front of us
plus its a cool thing for the popel who live ther
the dudes who grow for the cartels arent on some camping trip
from what ive heard most of the time its a slave labour thing where they drop them off in the middle of nowhere with a can of beans and a bag of totillas and tell them to grow
if the come back and there is no grow, someone is going to sleep in the woods
ive been to palces where there could be illegal grows in my hikes and i try to avoid them
for the most part anyone living out in the bush isnt expecting visitors and the cartel or illegal shit going on is even worse
you sit for a while observing the site before even apoaching it im usually looking for the way around
i once found the remnants of an old watering system out in the forest from a stream
but you could tell it had been there for years
it was still kind of weird stumbling upon someones old grow

It was a lot to give up to get Will anderson, but if he turns out to be somewhere between khalil mack and von miller career-wise, it'll probably be worth it. A pass rusher who can win a game by himself is a pretty rare thing. Plus they still have the browns' 1st rd pick next year from the watson trade, so not like they'll be shut out of the 1st rd.

Anthony richardson to the colts was a bit of a surprise, maybe jim irsay made that pick when he was all coked up, thinking he was getting a more athletic andrew luck. They got minstache as their presumed starter so if he takes a few weeks or months before he starts that should be fine.

Sam zell, some real estate billionaire from chicago, bought the chicago tribune newspaper in the 90s, and the trib owned the cubs back then. At that time sports franchises werent as valuable as they are now so he actually agreed to some deal with the rooftop owners in 2004 where he gets a piece of their revenue. Then some other billionaire family bought the cubs in 2009 and wanted to renovate wrigley and the rooftop people sued them because some of their views would have been blocked by a scoreboard.

Dang, i guess the lawsuit went on for years, till 2017, when the team finally won.

Yeah, that doesnt sound like fun, being conscripted to live like the unabomber deep in the woods taking care of plants, and being blamed if the crop doesnt work out. That's wild that you found some old watering system on a hike, were you pretty deep in the woods then? I would think you have to be a couple day's hike into the wilderness before you come across something like that, these cartel grows definitely dont want random day hikers to come across their crops.

Wrigley Field? The home of the Chicago Cubs in Chicago?

Oh okay, I had to re-read your post. I was like, how did we get from NFL to baseball? Yeah, I used to live pretty close to Wrigley when I lived in Chicago. I was living there when they tore down the old Comiskey Park (White Sox). I wonder if that was older than Wrigley.

I think we were talking about the new bears stadium and how it would have all this development (shops and condos) around it to help pay for building it, and that led to talking about san diego's baseball stadium having rooftop decks around it, which led to wrigley's rooftop seats.
Also there have been some college football games played at wrigley recently, i think illinois v northwestern played there, next year will be northwestern v iowa. So not pro's but college; i believe bears used to play there before soldier field was built in the 70s.

so the Lions are gambling on Hendon Hooker coming all the way back from his surgery. i hope they are right, have always enjoyed watching them play in that horrible weather they they and Green Bay both live with. he's got their starter & a kid they drafted last year ahead of him, so it looks like they are really gonna let him fully heal before he gets any reps. he's sure as hell got the arm, and if his knee is cool, Detroit might have something going on... the Bears drafting Darnell Wright surprised a few folks, but he looks like the real thing. Chicago thought so.

Yeah, i think lions fans are happy with hendon hooker in the 3rd, some mocks had him as a late 1st round pick even after the acl injury. He was probably leading the heisman race when he got hurt, and like u said he's got a strong, accurate arm, and makes really good decisions (10-1 td-int ratio). It's been 6mths since he got hurt and he's already running and throwing. Maybe he'll get some preseason game reps if he's healed enough by august.
Detroit plays in a dome, and so does minnesota, so the only divisional games he plays outdoors will be in green bay and chicago. Also their only other backup is nate sudfeld, who's been in the league since 2016 but probably isnt any good (he barely plays). If hooker can be a serviceable backup and future starter that would be ideal for them, as goff is under contract for 2 more years.

Most 'experts' only gave the Wright pick a B grade, thinking they should have drafted Skoronski the OT from northwestern instead (he went in the next pick to the titans). But Wright stonewalled will anderson when they played last season, holding him to zero sacks. Plus he has experience at left tackle too, having played that position in 2021.

Only question is why the titans traded up in the 2nd round to select will levis when they could have stayed put and drafted hooker instead. You watch a lot of SEC football, hippy, you think levis is a better QB than hooker?

no, i don't. they are two really different types of QB, i think. both have the tools to succeed in the NFL if in the right situation. my only question RE Hooker will be durability. he tore that knee up untouched, you know. he didn't get hit... Levis got knicked on his attitude according to many, something that Hooker impressed with.

thats a good question jelly, what would have been the oldest ball park
how old is the stadium at usc?! these places have history and i think it sux that they are being replaced by mega lux box stadium dont have any soul man
/pops sits crossed legged and chants "rammsswillllwiinn"
but thats the golden ring for a lot of teams right now, big new stadiums with lots of lux boxes paid for by taxpayers
overall i liked the rams draft, picked up a young ol'man and a piece for the defense
we saw what happened to the rams o'line last season and i think adding here is a great choice, plus they lost all kinds of tallent on the defense so we need to work on that
still haven had time to fully digest the draft but would like to hear any taeks that are out there
had way too much falafel this weekend and might have twisted my back going down a hill
walter payton was the man!
lets all do the bears dance

Im interested, why do you think theyre 2 different QBs, hippy? Hendon is more of a pro-ready, pocket passer who can scramble when needed whereas Levis is more of an athlete with a strong but not as polished of an arm?
Also, a good amount (maybe most) of acl tears are non-contact injuries, that's why they say when you see a player's go down when no one hits him that's when you know it's bad, probably an acl or achilles tear. But ur right, if he continues to have problems with that knee, or injury problems in general, that has killed many a promising pro career.
I also heard that one team didnt like the medical report on Levis's toe injury, even though it's healed they think it might still require surgery down the road. I hadn't heard about the attitude issues, seems like it's something that varies depending on the team you talk to. Confidence during an interview can be viewed as a good thing or a bad thing (arrogance). Part of the reason these guys have any success is they have a lot of confidence, but i guess there's a fine line between that and arrogance.

The Rose Bowl is 100yrs old, Pops, pretty impressive that they havent replaced it with a more modern stadium although it has undergone several renovations.
Team owners love new stadiums/arenas cause it's more profit to put in their pockets, some of it can go to improve the team but nfl teams have a salary cap and nba and mlb teams have luxury taxes to discourage over spending on players.

Rams got an off guard with their 1st pick, a 3rd rounder, that's supposedly going to be a day 1 starter so yeah, good for stafford. Ur right pops that o-line was all sorts of janky last year. They actually made like 14 picks total, most in the 5-7th rounds, so if even a few makes the cut they should be better than last year. They also drafted georgia's QB, stetson bennett, in the 4th rd. He won the last 2 national championships; he's small and not athletic and doesnt have a strong arm but brock purdy was like that too and looked like he would lead the niners to the superbowl before getting hurt.

Hey Jelly, im not sure how to do the superbowl shuffle, it's not even really a dance is it?
Isnt your team the colts? What'd you think of anthony richardson at #4? He's either going to be the black josh allen or the black jake locker, no inbetween. Did you know andrew luck is back at stanford getting his master's in education? Maybe he wants to be a coach.

its not a super bowl shuffle, its the icky shuffle!

the bears had their dance with mcmahon and it was cool, plus put in w.perry for that 1yrd run!
i thnk the colts came up wit thier pick because they dident have to reach to get him, he just sort of fell into thir laps
so luck went back to fancy school
thats actually cool and i can only imagine the stars in the eyes of the young kid who gets to learn the game from a great qb
a.luck qb coach would sound really good to me
thats the thing about o'line, in the 1st round you get your hot shit stallions ut the best value will come in later rounds
ol is not a fire starter position and some people will yawn when you draft o'line, but thats how you build a winning team
for the next 8 yrs hopefully you have a rock up front, what qb dosent want that?
/now lets address the d and get back on track before stafford is all done
rose bowl is 100yrs old, thats almost as old as pops
/like a fine wine shit just got better with age
