You like watching those cooking shows huh Hawk? I’ll have to check out cooking with kay. I guess that’s the stereotype of traditional british cuisine, that it’s not very flavorful, but Indian food is big there, and they like burgers and pizza too, so I think people who live there don’t have any problems finding food they like. But yeah, beans on toast is more simple/poverty food, maybe like oatmeal or grits in the US.
A liquid breakfast is like hair of the dog, gives you calories and makes you less hungover.

I saw something on social media how some young black dudes were canceling a chipotle manager for making them pay before making their food, saying she was racist, and she got fired. But turned out apparently on an earlier trip they had grabbed the food and walked out without paying, and chipotle offered her job back.

We would get out there in the Caribbean...usually patrolled a big box and would go down off the coast of Venezuela/Aruba and then go up North to like Puerto Rico and Cuba and stuff. Went to all of those places. Cozumel Mexico was cool. Got like Havana Syndrome in Cuba...was trying to smoke a joint and heard voices and shit but like from a bullhorn. The Marines down there said there's all kinds of weird shit that goes on.

Supposedly carolina is looking at cj stroud from ohio state or anthony Richardson from florida at #1 overall. Stroud wouldn’t be controversial but Richardson is a raw project, I guess if he turns out like josh allen it would be worth it but he honestly might turn out like deshone kizer or jake locker, elite physical specimens who unfortunately aren’t good at the actual quarterbacking part of the job.

Rams 1st rd pick was given to the lions for Stafford, that’s the last pick they owe them. Next year, 2024, will be the first time they have a 1st rd pick since 2016 (traded up to #1 overall for Goff) so unless they trade it away (always possible) they’ll have a 1st day pick.
Yeah, rams have released bobby wagner and leonard floyd, traded Jalen ramsey, and baker is signing with the bucs. So not sure if they’ll be a sub .500 team next year, if Stafford and cooper are healthy all year the offense and aaron Donald should get them to at least 9-8 for the year, maybe enough for a wild card. But unless they hit on some value picks in the draft and free agency, theyre probably not looking at an 11-12 win season.

So theyre looking better on paper, still got like 40M cap space left and also the draft in April where maybe they can pick up a couple three starters.

I actually enlisted with the Air Force at first...signed up for pararescue. But then I found out some stuff about the coast guard and had a recruiter go get all the stuff from the air Force guy. I wanted an easy tour with good treatment...but the coast guard was horrible. Should have stuck with the air Force.

I heard the food in the AF is the best of the service branches, but shipboard cuisine is still decent.

I got the picture that the Coast Guard was the easiest branch of the military ..with a really easy bootcamp. So I figured why not.
Basic training was the most intense of all the branches and life aboard the ship sucked...bad food, helping with the kitchen duties for months at a time, too many people micromanaging. After a while I stopped saluting most of the officers. Had no respect for them after a while.
Showers weren't bad. Big bathroom.
You get used to the beds on a ship pretty easily. I didn't mind it. Had a little tv/vcr in mine...could watch pornos and shit.
Time to get high and enjoy freedom!

Im happy if the bears get Skoronski (O-line) or Jalen Carter (D-line). Carter pled guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving this week, got $1000 fine. So long as he avoids thinking he’s Mario Andretti (he had an excessive speeding ticket last year too) he should be a good pro.
Or like u said Pop, if the bears feel like there’s good value dropping down again (for ex one of the top QBs is available at #9 and a team desperately wants him) then I have no problem with that, more draft capital for future years, can still get a good player in the low first rd.

Im not too familiar with military boot camps but im sure they all suck to some degree, I mean that’s the point right? Like a normal person wouldnt run into danger (into enemy fire) but if they scream at you enough during boot then that breaks down your mental resistance to doing things you don’t want to do.
I had a friend who joined the navy after high school and he said they made them do naked jumping jacks or pushups or something during boot camp. Im thinking maybe that drill sergeant had some ulterior motive for that exercise.
If you had ur own tv/vcr sounds like you didn’t have to hotbunk with anyone; I think in navy ships when one sailor leaves their bunkbed to go on duty another sailor gets off duty and climbs right into the same bed. Doesn’t seem that sanitary especially if theyre jacking off but maybe they change sheets often.

Fwiw I hope ur dad’s case goes ok, Hawk. Maybe he does need to learn a lesson but being out on bail means he’s being monitored for alcohol usage, like random urine drops? Hopefully he gets his substance abuse under control as well. Everything in moderation, but if you cant do that, best to go cold turkey and get it together, as best you can. So with lent going on a lot of places are having specials on seafood, got this box of fried shrimp and potato wedges for $6 at the local grocery store, was pretty good and a lot of food for the money. 10/10 would do again.
