Ur right Hawk, Ive known a king buffet or two, also super buffet is a popular name. Haha, I guess Chinese people want their restaurant name to mean ‘the best’, even if its quality is iffy.
That’s amazing you havent been to a Chinese buffet in 20 years. I don’t go often, maybe 2-4x a year? Buffets in general are kind of iffy food-wise, a lot of the dishes sit up there for a long time and get old (softer, or harder, or dried out etc) and the good ones that keep it fresh cost like twice as much at least.

It’s funny, turned out I never made that bills bet, I bet on them to win more than 11.5 games this year and also win the superbowl but the only bet I had for this weekend’s games is bears losing by more than 7 to the niners. Bills easily covered (favored by 2.5) by beating LA by 21 tonite. Stafford did not look good, he got sacked 7x but also some of his throws were off. Maybe that elbow issue is a real thing?

Ive never played video poker is it like texas hold 'em or some other poker? I guess there's all different variations of poker. I hope you do win some $$ and get a nice whore somewhere, probably the casino although i guess most casinos dont want them plying their trade inside...

Yeah there are a bunch of variations on poker, Texas hold ‘em was the most popular version 10-15 years ago, still popular today. In general you can play all sorts of card games, gin rummy, cribbage, solitaire, etc.

Ur right, the rams D got a couple int’s off allen and they were able to be tied into halftime, but the bills dominated in the 2nd half. Stafford got beat up (7 sacks, like 24 pressures) and no run game to speak of, Darrel Henderson got all the carries. Cam akers was like a 3-4th round fantasy pick, which is pretty darn high for someone who got 3 carries for net zero yards.
It was a super bowl hangover for the rams but mcvay acknowledged it and took responsibility for it. Hopefully he’s able to bounce back, week 2 vs the falcons should be a win but then they face the cardinals, niners and cowboys the next 3 games. If they cant protect Stafford or get some sort of run game going (Stafford is no threat to use his legs like allen or murray or lamar) they could be looking at a 1-4 record. I don’t think that’s realistic but they had some O-line injuries after the bills game (center hurt his knee and is out for a few weeks, LT strained his MCL and is day to day) which is not encouraging.

How did you dad give you a concussion, Hawk? Did you black out at all? Brain injuries are pretty serious stuff but with time you should heal most of the way back.

Im thinking of putting a bet down on seahawks-broncos on MNF, donkeys are favored by 6 but I think Chef Russ goes HAM on a bad hawks team, he loved the fans there but wasn’t too happy with how things ended so no mercy from Russ, he’ll be tossing 50yd bombs even if he’s up big.

Sorry to hear about the bathroom accident, she couldn’t make it to the toilet? Ugh. Was it the seafood, was it bad, or just too much fried food/grease?
Woodman’s has an extensive menu and for seafood the prices seem very reasonable. What’s the difference between clams and clam strips? The strips are cheaper looks like.

I didn’t realize cribbage also is part board game, makes me wonder how it’s played. I guess the board replaces the use of poker chips? I think it’s more popular in England than in the US.
The bills offense has been on fire since the end of last season, they havent had to punt in 4 of their last 6 games, including playoffs. Defense gets tons of pressure while only rushing 4. Rams will be better too but ur right, akers and allen robinson need to step up, it cant be the kupp show all the time. And Higbee and Skowronek got a lot of targets but didnt do much with them, higbee especially had a few drops. That McCutcheon guy was inactive on TNF for some reason (injury?).
The container is a big cheap purse from target with some wax paper laid on the bottom. When I get home I put the meat in ziplocs and wipe the inside of the bag down, easy cleanup. The meat is strictly for the pup but I did enjoy the fried fish fillets, they use this cornmeal batter that has a nice crunch. I dont feel good about sneaking food from the buffet but eh, not the most shady thing ive done in my life lol, plus i figure there's so much waste with these places anyway. Plus most of these buffets are shady anyway, leaving food out so long it gets dried out and stale, or taking old food back and freshening it up or mixing it in with new food. I agree with Hawk, sometimes it's better to just order out a meal instead of going to a buffet, half the food at a buffet is sketch...

The bucs are most experts' pick to meet the bills in the superbowl but im not so certain, they had some O-line injuries in camp (lost their starting center and guard to knee injuries for the year) plus they have a new coach, bruce arians retired to the front office and they promoted their D-coordinator todd bowles to head coach. He was the head coach of the jets a few years ago so he’s got experience but it’s iffy whether he’s good at being a head guy instead of a good coordinator. So no worries Hawk, I don’t think brady will win another ring this year, might still make the playoffs as a wild card though.

Games start in a couple hours, bears v niners will be rainy all game long so the passing might be iffy. I still picked the niners to win by more than 7, also have a parlay involving rushing yards with trey lance and justin fields (more than 25 yds each). You going to watch any games today Pop or are you done after TNF?

Hey bababooey! The clam strips are without the belly and stuff...it's just like the tongue. Some people (kids mostly) don't like the bellies. I get the whole clam.
Mom's not sure what made her poop explosively...it happened right when we got in the car after eating. Probably her metformin pills or trulicity for diabetes. She has type 2 diabetes...that could've been the culprit. Mom is 67 now.

Alright DB, that makes sense about strips vs whole clams and how kids prefer strips. I’d probably prefer the whole clam myself, I guess the belly part makes it juicier/tastier? Have you ever tried frying your own clams at home? I don’t like frying food at home, my kitchen doesn’t have good ventilation and the woman hates strong cooking odors in the house.

I was really surprised the bears pulled off the victory vs the 49ers too, Hawk; they won by 9 when they were supposed to lose by 7.
49ers almost went to the superbowl last year, but they have a new QB theyre breaking in and the rain was a factor too. Ur right, packers host the bears next Sunday night football, hope u get to watch that game on NBC. Packers lost vs the Vikings and their offense looked mostly terrible but they don’t play starters in the preseason at all so rust was expected: they lost by 30 pts last year in week 1 vs the saints but still managed to win 13 games.

I heard Khalil mack had 3 sacks for the coc’s, good for him I hope he continues to dominate even though he only played like that the first 12 games of his bears career. The chargers have really made over their defense, they held the raiders to 64 yds rushing which is great considering they were one of the worst at defending the run last year (them and Carolina). They play the chiefs on TNF, Keenan allen pulled a hammie so he probably wont play.

I place the bag on the floor beside my chair and use my fingers to pick up food off my plate and quickly drop it into the bag. Gotta be slick about it and don’t look around too much like ur hiding something haha.
Here’s some elotes we made recently, steamed some ears of sweet corn, then shaved about 4 ears into a bowl, generous amounts of mayo, some butter and cheese (supposed to use cojita cheese, I minced up some provolone slices) and then hot pepper and some lime squeezes, I used some tajin which is a Mexican seasoning that’s lime and and red pepper and salt). Mix it up well it’s pretty decent stuff.
