Hey guys. Although I'm not quiet so new to the growing of MMJ This will be the first time I have solely done this on my own. So lets see what kind of mess I'm getting myself into

I just want to start out by saying that this current grow is not my ideal conditions of starting out but its what I had and the sole basis of this first grow is to dial in the new cab and brush the cobwebs off my feet.

What I started with was, 2 good looking girls both planted in soil and around 24" high. I wanted to start with clones but a buddy was having troubles with room in his closet and gave me two of his. One is a G13 and the other a Kush. He just grows trees with cfls in a closet. Not much height restriction. My mission was to fit these girls in a 12.5x26x23 stealth cab in a closet with a 63w led and scrog. My plan is to go hydro but, I decided ill grow these out take clones and then start new with the next batch.

Step one bend those babys over. the kush went over pretty well not quite as low as i would of liked her but... The G13 snapped the top . Like I said brushing the cobwebs off

I vegged for about 3.5 weeks trying to get the G13 to catch back up. flipped to 12/12 last week

there looking good had to bend them down a bit more at the flip.

Personally I think you are doing great with your plan. Keep these pedigrees alive long enough to improve the conditions for your next plan. Bravo.

Like I said before the key goal in this first run is dialing in the cab. Im now considering maybe screening out 4 plants on the next run to reduce veg time . Or maybe even a sog setup in dixie cups. I have 8 babies cooking in the incubator right now. Four of each, I will make a decision once I know how many make it.

The only thing i notice is the G13 is a little slower putting on weight. I think it has to do with being more sativa based?

I have just a quick question for you guys. I was over looking at my buddys little outdoor grow. He plated late (poped seeds in the begging of july) Hes got some bag seed going and they look great. Although I'm a little further in flower than him. his leaves are starting to get cristaly. it dosnt seem like mine are yet? Is it genetics thing or is there something i can do to? my cab temps drop to about 65 at night and stay around 78-82 during the day. I have a tone more hair then him but i was hopping for some dank looking bud. Any suggestions?

mostly genetics, but the fact that he is outside with the full spectrum of the sun is helping a lot too. its said that the UV of the sun triggers the plant to push more glands to protect the ova (baby seed) from the radiation. i have seen some ppl here use a UV lights along with there normal hps to help trigger this response. these lights can be bought at most pet stores in the reptile section. I have never used them so really cant say how well, if at all, they work.

Yea and from my understanding my 2nd gen penetrator has some uv spectrum mixed in. But Im sure they will come around. I seen the new 3rd gens are coming out with some green. maybe if i save my money i could use this light for veg and buy a bigger new one for a new flower box. Who knows im just glad to be growing again

in this pic you can see how my light kinda has blind spots. Directly under the light grows real well anything a few inches out seems to be a lot slower

Everythings coming alog great a couple more weeks ad the should be ready to chop. the g13 streched more than the kush so the screen is getting real un even oh well what are you gona do?

Clones arnt coming along as nice as i would of liked might just buy some clones for the next setup and maybe some better stains. Ill see what i can find in stock. If anybody knows of some dank strains that might go well with my setup feel free to let me know

Sorry guys I'm fashionably late to my own party as usual.

Well lets get rolling. Its now week 5.5. Things are looking very good. I think im gona start my flush in a few days. The g13 will be turning out pretty good. I think shes going to be my main strain for a while. Her clones were the only one I could get to root and her bud is alot better. Not to impressed with the kush. Not sure if it's due to the pot shes in or how she was trained but, she has a lot of popcorn no real substantial bud sites. I'm going to chop the g13 when its ready and ill evaluate the kush at that time. I think it will be a bit early for her but shes has 2 more weeks to prove herself

Im seeing a lot of new growth there, i would wait a bit before flushing if i was you.
most ppl go 8-10 weeks of flowering, sometimes longer. and at week 5+ your barely over halfway. i would give them another 2 weeks at least before i would even think about flushing. you will be amazed with how much more weight they will pack on. just look at your last set of pics and you can see they packed on a lot in just 1 week.

Well my thoughts were that plants don't stop growing while you flush. So if im going for an 8 week strain and i start flushing half way though the 6th week that leaves me with 1.5-2 week flush. so its ready to be chopped when they are right at 50/50 amber. I flush with water and molasses. But if you guys think i should wait a little longer???. But like I said the kush is looking like it wants to go the full 10 weeks. Idk!?! I guess I should just pack another and pull up a chair

I flush when the buds are formed and the pods are starting to swell.
Then I usually have 7-10 days left, and that is when I flush.

Flushing when not necessary is just depriving the roots from oxygen.
