Drying

I harvested on flowering days 53 to 57, one plant/evening. Now the manicured branches are hanging in moving boxes with string across the top to support them.

This is my first time using a 1K HPS and the bio-buckets, and the growth is MUCH denser and thicker than my previous ebb and flow grows. In addition to the 4 moving boxes, I also got three 1-gal freezer bags of trim, that will become ice hash when I have the time. Will upload more pics when I jar them in a few days.

As you can see, I also moved my two remaining Ebb and Flow plants under the 1KHPS, and turned off the 400W, for the remainder of the grow.

i have a small ebb and flo table and am unsure about flood times and res changeouts and medium(best/easiest) to use. i know i ask alot of questions, but do you think you could PM me some of that info. i would really like to use my table and am still scared. it just a little e&F table 1 1/2x3 i think. Nice harvest anyways bro! i cant wait to join the ranks of bio. Great job on the nugs and ill be watching!

SirSmokalot, here are the specs for my E&F setup:

Size: 2' x 3'
Medium: Hydroton pebbles in 1.5 gal square pots
Flood times:: 5 min/3 hours during lights-on; one 5 min flood in the middle of the dark cycle
Changeout: once/2weeks

I'm going to try using well-washed lava rocks for my next E&F grow since it's cheaper, available through then big box home improvement stores and should work just as well.

I found it's also easier to clean up a lava rock grow, it's easier to separate the roots from the rock. I find I'm forever separating the Hydroton pebbles from the root ball, and even then I find little hydroton pebbles in my compost months later!

Harvest

Harvest

Here's the final result: 9 jars of manicured bud, and three 1-gal bags of frozen trim. I don't own a scale, so not sure what it would weigh out to be. It's smokes really smooth, the flush seemed to get rid of that chemical aftertaste that some hydro weed has.

SSA, my E&F pump is a 161 gph Maxi-Jet, made by Aquarium Systems. I've been using it with my 2 x 3' tray for a couple of years without any issues. My reason for continuing with the E&F this grow was my 500 gph pump could support four bio-buckets and my county guidelines allow med growers 6 mature plants. So I did 4 bio-buckets, 2 E&Fs. Also, it's a different strain that was ready to transplant before the Sensi Stars. And yeah, I wanted some insurance in case my first-time bio-bucket grow didn't work out...instead, it surpassed my wildest expectation.
