Now I have a multi ph/ec/tds hanna meter... also reads temp.
whats good:
easy to use, long battery life.
whats not:
seems like I'm always calibrating my meter..
long term storage dries out my meter and I have to leave it soaking in calibration
solution for a day or so..
if you do buy that meter buy your calibration solution in bulk, the little calibration
solutions are pricey.. General Hydroponics has the calibration solutions in the big bottles.
Alza I've never heard many good things about hanna pens, well maybe their real expensive ones.If you get a milwaukee sharp, you wont have problems and you wont have to get another
hey man! I just wanna say I got 1 of those Hanna Ph/TDS/EC with water temp meter, also ''waterproof'' I used mine for 1 week and for some reason some water got in...so I bought another 1 but cheaper and only PH(from Hanna) and I was getting 8,1 ph for my tap water, now its 6,9-7,1 which is better...
Maybe I will repair it later...I dont have my bill so I cant return it to Hanna I think
btw...on their site they say my meter is waterproof and even float if you drop it...and I tryed it...and it does float but the next day the water was inside and the meter was fucked up
I've ruined both hanna and milwaukee sharp. i do like the milwaukee better. ebay has the best deals, i got the last one for $50. Just have to be patient. Waterproof is the key, if it is not waterproof, take it back because you will ruin it eventually.
The milwaukee ruining was totally my fault, i dropped it in the water beyond the waterproof seal. Lights out right away. Once water gets on the board that is it, you cant dry it out.
hi everyone only just got my hanna ph meter & its crap.so i thought £100.up in the air.but you guys have had bad luck with them too.sorry but that makes my day nowing am not the only one lol
no issues with it .and its waterproof.. so i just let it float in my res for a minute to acclimate itself then i lift up just enough to see the reading and change to ppm..
tnx simba..
i allreadyhave HI 98129 and HI 991404
but now i just need some ph monitor and like to know which 1 to buy...hanna(100€) or milwaukee(100€)..
