Aye. It's been a few days since i used it on my outdoor garden and nothing is showing any ill effects. I always test nutes first.. start half strength. etc. My two girls are actually blowing up in the last week.

You've got a nice little setup there. Im doing something rather similar with some S99 seeds I came across. Hopefully i'll get something as good looking as this! Congrats on your first grow, and best of luck

They are really taking well to the switch to rainwater in addition to nutes and proper PH. The lower leaves look just as healthy as the new growth again. Also one girl is flowering up really nicely up top. A big clump of white hairs and growth up there.

I use that same reflective stuff... I do a vertical grow with a 400W CMH. Put the fan down, blowing up, hang the bulb in the middle, and place the plants in a circle. I then unroll that stuff just big enough to encircle the plants. The fan blows the heat away and provides great ventilation. Inside that circle of reflectivity...it's BRIGHT!

Good luck!

Nice, i've also got a small Massey fan blowing almost straight up between the two. And yes this reflectix (from Lowe's) is pretty good stuff.

Had a small goof today. I rushed out the door for work and forgot to check my girls this morning. When i got home the huge CFL had burnt a few fans to a crisp (LOL). I trimmed them off and fed them today. I tried a full strength Bloom Booster mix this go round, they seem to like this stuff so far.

Ignore the thermostat... i use the one NOT right next the a light.. it's about 78F in there.

Just keep the light between 2-3 inches away from the tip of the biggest part of the plant, that way even if you have another lil mishap then you wont get as bad results,

Well.. the side shoots have been growing that fast everyday, lol. So over night my 2-3 inches on both sides was gone, no biggy. Overall the stretch has almost stopped though, i haven't raised top lights in three days. Both girls have been putting their energy into making white hairs i think, they are both loaded.

They grow right onto the tubes with no harm. The fan keeps the tubes pretty much ambient. Other then that i try to keep em within an inch or two.

I loaded them up with that Super Bloom yesterday and they look great today. :dance013:

They each have a 26w and a 40w in those reflectors directly above them, 2700k's.

No budshots yet, but it won't be much longer now !:dance013:

Just watered the girls, the usual rainwater, no nutes this round. They show no deficiency that i can see, very green and healthy again. Even the burning tips have dissapeared over the last few weeks.

Starting to be able to see the white hairs on my low quality cam.

Alrighty. The one girl i was experimenting defoiliating with had bushed back up so i snipped most of her big fans again today. You can clearly see the difference from the picture above.

I have taken the fans 3 times now atleast and the difference between my two plants is night and day. Don't believe me ? Take a look.

These are both bagseed from the same bud. Everythings pretty much the same for them both except container size and the defoiliating of one plant. The buds of the bushier are a week behind the taller one. I wouldn't call them buds yet on the bushier plant.

The tall plant was always taller, from day one. Anyways im not sure if this is conclusive enough or not but taking fan leaves surely is not hurting anything.

No sir, i am around 46-47 days out from seed. Is it too late to take a close of her ? Can grab some lower shoots that won't produce ?

Day 20 or 21 of 12/12. Feeding day. They both got another full dose of Super Bloom 12-55-6.

This is the smaller girl that i have not been stealing leaves from, in all her glory out of the cab.

Here's big momma. She's so frosty it messes with my camera, already :dance013:

So what do you guys think ? Definate sativa's ? Will be a long flower period?

Next round i will NOT be letting them get so tall. The big one is within inches of runnnig out of room. I'd read about the 'stretch' but had no idea. I started 12/12 at 12inches..

Can't hurt to try...people do it.

Are you SURE you want to let them outside? You're just asking for some bugs...

C

CFL_Grow

I know, it's a risk vs reward i guess. Is the few hours of hard sun every once in a while worth it ? Ill take the risk since its my first grow :) My veggies don't have any pests or i would be more concerned. Grapes, peppers and tomatoes.

It's just too tempting sometimes, haha. I know the plants love it

mmm just be careful bud don't want to get the borg in the middle of flowering ( spidermites)

C

You guys are probably right. I should err on the side of caution because these plants are valuable to me personally, test grow or not. :tiphat:

So i added more cfl power. Over time i've got reflectors on the bulbs i think needed them and it helps a LOT. lol. Next time im out ill get another one of those splitter things that makes 2 spots out of one and add even more cfl, the single bulb on the right needs a friend. Wattage is approaching 300, temps are good still. Electric went up 15 bux last month, big whoop. :dance013:

So far so good, on cruise control it seems. Watered with rain water today, no nutes. They are picking up the pace on waterings.
