I always start my seeds in a 1/2 cup of soil.
Then as they start the usual stretch, I add the extra 1/2 cup of soil.
That way you aren't forced to transplant a tender seedling.

I'm not sure i was thinking about it i might take a cutting from each when i top them label them 1-18 and then whatever one grows the best i might keep that clone as a mother.

I was told that cloning a mother from feminized seeds is not a good idea? Is this just a myth or is there any truth to it?

Ill b honest. From my experience it doesnt even factor if its a fem.

I have 3 fem girls in my stable right now. Im personally not afraid of fems from my experience. I have not had a bad one yet. If she is healthy happy and something special thats all that matters.

I think its mainly only a breeding thing. No males to detur anyone from breeding with the genetics. Or something along those lines.

Thanks for the advice twisted, I ended up topping them all last night im going to give it a try so i took a cutting from each one we will see how that goes but dummy me forgot to label them so i might just veg these 18 for my next batch as im thinking about starting another tent up in a seperate room another 5x5 but with a 1000 watt in the new one we will see how many take
On another note, i plan on transplanting these into my 3 gallon smart pots just waiting on them to get here hopefully i can take care of that tonight...more pics to come

Just a quick update, made a bonehead mistake and didnt check the babys before i left for the weekend. Thought you would be good til i got back and i came home very dissapointed to so wilted droopy girls Luckily i wasnt too late i watered immediately and they perked back up really fast but only downfall they have that crinkly look on some fan leaves but all new growth is vibrant and looks good. Glad it wasnt too late for them...

Anyways i transplanted all 18 of them last night into the 3 gallon smart pots and gave them there first good feeding of vegg nutes and they are looking really nice im going to try and post some new updated photos tomorrow night :stay tuned:

Hey Penguin! My tent is 6'7 high but i have my lights all the way up because they put off quite a bit of heat i have a fan blowing the heat out the tent and into the ceiling and have noticed with my lights all the way up temps are ok, going to do some testing to see how low i can drop my lights down before the canopy starts getting too hot. Ill post some pics in a few hours, actually testing my temps now
