Hi Gypsy,

Happy to hear DutchGrown is better!

I like your ideas for site improvements. The enhanced security and premium options sound good!

Is there anything the members here can help with to improve things?

Take care and wishing for DutchGrown's speedy recovery!

What a fantastic way to begin the new year Gypsy. I was really motivated by the vibe of the new front page article. It is refreshing to see that something dynamic and new is happening which will positively influence the community. I like the direction its heading. I am also very much looking forward to the new subscription package.

I wish Dutchgrown all the best and a speedy recovery.

very positive Gypsy! (the opposition could learn a few pointers here!)

and there's nothing worse than a stomach bug you can catch from Asia..but they usually go away after 4 ~ 7 days ...the main thing to do is to keep hydrated with water and the odd sports drink..many say the best thing to do is not eat and food until the bug is starved and beaten....and after the bug is beat, eat natural set yoghurt to help the restore the correct balance in your gut

I landed in Manilla once, feeling the effects of late night drinking, lack of sleep, smoking and racing around without warm enough clothes seeing friends at home..I was rundown and must of caught a bug on the plane...I hit Manilla, felt a bit tired, so I went straight to a hotel and crashed out ..woke up feeling very weak..so weak that I couldn't hardly walk to the toilet...and then it got worse....i got really scared, my brain was playing tricks, didn't know what day it was, delirious!....all I could drink was a few sips of watered down calamansi jiuce...to make matters worse I'd checked into a room with a disco close by.....Fillipino disco pop vibrated the floor boards day and night ( and you thought the chinese water torture was unbearable!)..each night on the same floor a VD doctor would set up shop in a nearby room...dozens of "dancers" from the bar/disco below would line up for a VD medical check-up which consisted of the good doctor taking a 10 peso fee to rubber stamp the girl's "health card" lol..it took 5 seconds per check-up....so even in my feverish, weakened state I thought it best if I didn't go to this doctor.....after a couple of days I wrote a note asking for a doctor!.."please send doctor to room 108" and haned it to someone walking past..I don't know who? I was so weak the note took hours to write..that's how weak and spaced I was! The doctor said I had a virus and I will get better in a few days.

then after about a week on my back I slowly got better ..I had lost lots of weight ..I'd never been so ribby!..( and I hadn't drank any alcohol or smoked any cigs or bud during that time either which was a record!)..and was still very weak..but it sure felt good to be able to walk without holding onto a wall every step!..it's a very scary to be alone and very sick in third world country!..but it felt great to get better, stronger and put some weight back on!...although I did recover my health and feel no after effects apart from developing an extreme hate for 80's Fillipino disco music..a hate that I hold to this day.

Yes, I will be back next "Cup," G. Even though I am bored of the lame arrangements and the lines, I will return for the Circus. If you are around, we can then partake of the OG, GrandDaddy Purple, & other NorCal organic specialties....

Hang in there, DG, I would think that Gypsy is one of the best people in Galaxy Andromeda to have in your corner.. Yes, modern science/Western medicine can be amazing.. A pain in the keester, bureaucracy-wise, but effective..

Gosh, you must have gone through some hell... Nothing like leaving the hospital to make one feel better..!

Oh my Sorry to hear about your experience.
Over here in america, The main population has a saying about going to mexico.
"just don't drink the water" ..
You will get a thing we call "montezumas revenge" and it is very bad also..
Dysentary is no fun...
Bring a trunkful of water and mexican insurance in the glovebox....
I'm up for trying to find zihuatenejo purple, just north of aulcopulco but on the coast..
A penninsula with high concentrations of bird guano deposits in the soils...

This is a easy and simple question.

When will the new and third magazine be mailed out to the members that bought the subscriptions? I'm sure others that will not be making the 4:20 gathering like me would love to know roughly when they might see their magazine and dvd in their mailbox. I'm just wondering, because i can't wait to read the magazine and watch the dvd. Hopefully it will be mailed out before 4:20, and not after but i'm guessing after.
Take care,
BG
