Well, fellas/gals, I've reached some what of a personal milestone.
I've managed to harvest enough, to cover expenses, and not run out of herb between harvests, for quite a few runs now!
While I'm sure most of you have been doing this for a while, I have not.
I've always had to shut down during the summer months, and then start again from seed in the fall.
I've always run out, at some point, and had to rely on mersh to get me by.
NO LONGER IS THIS THE CASE!!!! :jump:

Attaboy! What strain is that?

Just waiting on my transportation out of vacationland. Beautiful country and amazing weather this time of year!

Despite the new leniance in this neck I had a hell of time finding anything decent to smoke. Breathing in the new england air and seeing the sights made me all but forget about herb however. I needed a little tolerance break anyway. Love the camaraderie shown in this and the mass/ri/conn thread, no bickering and egos unlike other region state threads.

I'll be back, maybe to stay next time! And if I visit vacationland again I for damn sure will make sure my rental doesn't have mass plates. What is the hurry when your driving through this beautiful country anyways? lol

Maynard took yesterday off, but he's back at it today.. here's the latest victim.. Sensi Star from Paradise seeds. This is a clone from my original plant and like a dummass, I did not take another clone.. This plant is the first one in what I'm calling my RDWAP (Recycled DeepWater Air Pot) I'll explain later. This girl is going to take hours to groom.. I've been at it for an hour and still only doing her bottom 4 branches.

Sorry to hear of your troubles finding good herb whilest you were in Maine.I'd have to agree that trying to score with the locals while driving a renta car might not get you into the most flavorsome circles.....Good luck next time round.
We went to a wedding over the holiday found a few folks[10-12] gathered around a picnic table burning a few, funny thing was,When we all pulled out something to burn we realized we ALL had brought the same breed[ecsd] to puff...Small world in western Maine :).

Noticed something horrifying while coming to the end of grooming my Sensi Star a last night. In the middle of the main cola, a large patch of mold. It was only in that one spot, but I'm a little concerned about it getting a foothold in my little closet. First time I've seen anything like this in the past 3 years..

5 years ago, REAL "ecsd" was rare to find[well done atleast] in Maine, now Im seeing both the "nycd" and "ecsd" being produced in small batchs for local med patients on a regular basis.. Downside is the cuts arnt being freely swaped or making thier way to your average patient looking for a breed to start with...Were seeing lots of crosses with the desiel name attached as a marketing ploy just to gain a few extra bucks cashing in on the name......
I can say once youve got the breed you will never want to give her up.In a lifetime of adult growing ive only seen a few cuts that taste/smell/ produce that fine a product...E/C

Grow room trouble

Grow room trouble

About a month ago we desided to switch the lite cycle in the flower room to running all nite instead of the day. Both to beat the heat and save a % on the electric bill..So im doing my work into the nite now On my off shedual ill stop in real early to check on the girls just before lites out....The other morning i goes to do a quick a.m check and i smell a funky smell..Kinda ozoney/plasticy ,somethings not right smell...I methodicly go around and check ALL the equipment,fans,a/c,ballast's etc..As ive found mice in the area before i thought maybe one had goten fried somewhere outa site that need to be found....As im going round ruleing out each peice i notice the temps are higher then usual from the area where the smell is the strongest around a[6-7 year old] 600 watt dual ballast.I turned everthing off except the ventalation and left for the day..
Last nite i go to work early to tcb and try to fire up the old 600.When i go to turn on the power the ignitor wouldnt even kick the lites on so i had found my problem..Luckely we had a back up 1000 watt to hang in place untill we can figue out whats wrong with the 600...tHANK GOD -no fire
Anyone else run one of those duel 6oo's?Ever have any problems with it??After that scare Im thinking of useing all cool tube design reflectors along with replacing all my ballasts but having trouble trying to decide if i should go with the olde school powerhouse design[magnetic] or try the new 1000 watt duel e ballests.
Last point of concern is our area is getting ready to switch over to cmp's smart meters..Any thoughts on the subject..
Off to the grind :dance013: dont forget to wash up when your through..E/C out

whats up E.C?
ive thought about what ur doing. i was going to move one light to the other room so i can cut down heat in the smaller room(runs in the day).
that sucks your 600w went, but ur lucky u found it in time, and it wasnt a fire.

im not sure about those new smart meters.. ive heard they put out alot more radiation then a cell phone and can cause health problems... more people are trying to stop them from installing these things.

Ya know.. we walk around in a virtual bath of rf (radio frequency) 24/7. Some of the things we use in our day to day life, including cell phones, spew radio waves all over the place. The thing one has to be concerned about is the frequency and the amplitude of those waves. The higher the frequency, the more possibility of harm to living things, i.e. microwave ovens.. there's a reason they encase them in metal shielding.. to keep us from being harmed by the extremely high frequency of the transmitter inside. However, I think that the possibility of the signal strength from one of those smart meters being a problem is pretty remote. I'd be willing to bet that the people that are the most effected by these meters will show a history of hypochondria. If one wants to live in an rf free environment, you'll have to be deep under ground and in a fully shielded enclosure. The thing I think we should be most concerned about is the possibility of our devices putting some sort of signature on the lines we're using. I've heard, but I'm not sure if it's true, that the util companies in cali that use these can tell you what brand tv and refrigerator you're running. My sister who lives in Santa Cruz was informed by her utility company that her 'whirlpool model ###' was out dated and non energy star compliant and they recommended replacing it.. The only way she could figure they knew what her refrigerator make and model was would be thru the smart meter. That's kinda scarey.

thats what im talking about. The power companys ability to read a signiture of an individual appliance is a bit intrusive..
We have the option to 1, let them istall new smart meter
2. install new meter but have it set to only send info[one way tranmiter] to company by monthly
3. use old analog system......Both options 2 & 3 have a monthly service charge..
My question is why cmp wants/needs a 2 way transmiter on these meters.or what they plan on doing with all our useage info..Maybe im just being old and parinoid. E/C

On another note..anyone running a duel 1000 watt digital ballast?? looking for info on dig equipment. Is it relieable??
