Hope you are doing ok Aero...

Any one hear about this? They were talking about it on The Voice of Maine this morning on my way to work.

bangordailynews Rep. Ben Chipman, I-Portland, on Thursday introduced LD 754, which would decriminalize possession of up to five ounces of marijuana, and LD 750, which would allow people to have up to six marijuana plants without facing criminal penalties.

Chipman’s bills do not legalize marijuana. Both possession and cultivation of the drug still would be against the law, but minor offenses would be treated as civil infractions similar to traffic violations. Those in violation could be fined — but not arrested or jailed — and they would have no criminal record.

Currently in Maine, possession of less than 2.5 ounces of marijuana is a civil violation, the maximum punishment for which is a $1,000 fine. Under Chipman’s bill, the fine would be lowered to a maximum of $250 and would apply to amounts of up to 5 ounces. The bill also would remove criminal penalties currently in place for amounts between 2.5 ounces and 5 ounces.

So last night I am watching the BBC and they have this show called "Should I smoke dope?" Some 40 year old woman trying cannabis for the first time. Anyways, on the show they talked about a growing problem in the UK where sleazy dealers will coat their buds in tiny glass beads to make it look like it has more trics. WTF? Has anyone even heard of this before, seems absolutely ridiculous. They were saying that it is a huge health crisis for pot smokers over there . Anyways, just wondering if anyone had every heard of this.

Tax his land, tax his bed, tax the table at which he's fed.

Tax his tractor, tax his mule, teach him taxes are the rule.

Tax his cow, tax his goat, tax his pants, tax his coat.

Tax his ties, tax his shirt, tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco, tax his drink, tax him if he tries to think.

Tax his cigars, tax his beers, if he cries, then tax his tears.

Tax his car, tax his gas, find other ways to tax his ass

Tax all he has, then let him know that you won't be done till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers, then tax him some more, tax him till he's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin , tax his grave, tax the sod in which he's laid.

Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove me to my doom…"

When he's gone, do not relax, its time to apply the inheritance tax.

glad the filters helping EC!
buying a pallet of promix and selling it would be great business around here...

Milo xxx -I HATE taxes so much too!! why do they tax so high?!?! and why are the tax forms I need NEVER ever available from the irs website like they are supposed to be? I resent supporting a government that allows nuclear power plants but thinks composting is a serious hazard WTF??? war on potheads, war on terrorists, war on terrra.

speaking of which.. Diane Russell, portland rep, is going to make a bill to legalize and tax the shit out of pot in maine.

CIROQ -- I have heard of the glass thing, there is a thread about it somewhere here on IC from maybe 5 years ago? cant remember the details but its scary isnt it? thats the unregulated market, and somehow I trust a regulated market even less?

I hope the 5 ounce rule passes though! also the six plant rule would be sweet.. then they wouldnt be able to search youre residence if you got pulled over with a few plants.

aero, glad youre okay. i'll ignore the comment on girl drivers for now ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong (I often am), but I believe the main(e) ingredient in ProMix is Coco fiber! .. I agree on coco being the right way to grow.. at least for me.. I just got a bag of B'cuzz coco.. it does need to be rinsed, contrary to their propaganda, but I like the uniformity of the product. I'll know how much I really like it in about 8 weeks..

you really think coco that much better? you goin 100% coco or mixing?
YES 100% .Im all in now after useing promix sinse the early 80ies.
The physical consistancy of the medium along with the stable ph make it a joy to work with..Only downside ive noticed is its a bit messy-er to work with as your always watering to leach...I havent quite worked out the math on dollar for dollar[i only use BOTH products once then throw away]but early reasearch is showing pricing being almost even...Thier are cheaper brands out there,im useing botanicare 5K bricks, but that brand has gotten great reviews straight out of the starting block. No pre-rinseing needed...To get a decent % off retail, buy a pallet of 100.
You asked if i was useing it straight up ..YES..We've started seeds, cuttings[gonna start everthing for the farm] transplanting up from there...Tried both "h3ads"formula and the "kiss"approach..What goes in the top comes out the bottom.Love it,total control.....last observation, never seen roots develope as dense and ruged as in coco, unbelieveable :blowbubbles: im old and generally unimpressed by much any more..This coco stuff is awesome..If you have never tried,do it just once..Just dont take over the market and buy all the coco supply for yourself:laughing:.

MGK- Promix is mostly peatmoss with a little perlite/vermiculite,myco's and a starter charge of nutes.:)ratio's depend upon if its "pgx" "bx"or "hp".

Missy-B..Always nice to see you out and about...Zero water has [finally]shown me exactly the cause of my lockout issues.IM now SURE its my well that was/is the problem. How i now solve the problem in a cost effective manner will be the next trick. The replacement filters would get expensive on the long term.Thanx again for your simply/great idea.:tiphat:

FB- You the man...I read all of h3ead's coco stuff then took a look around at how you were doing. You guys are ahead of the curve.....Thanx for showing an olde dog a new trick..

Time to fly,Im done.....enjoy the afternoon...E/C out :cathug:

So it seems the spring bug has got all yall...hehe I love it...I found out where I'm heading to...back to NH for me to my Mama dukes I go...haha
I haven't lived with my folks in a very long time 15 years...I told my Moms about the arrest and when she found out it was for MJ she Laughs and says she had tons of garden projects for me..lol
I am thinking of doing a OD project right across the border in Maine she lives in NH and NH sucks for MJ growers... now I just need some good early genetics... fucking cops took my seed stash took fucking years to accumulate them.. I still have most of my growing equipment minus the lights and fans, carbon filter, but I still have tons of dirt, smartpots, and organic fertilizer a hole auger and a 4 wheeler

EC Im glad you pin pointed the lock out problem..sucks it's your well...do you think the sediment will settle down once spring runoff has subsided?

I might be down, but I'll never be out

you are wrong. promix is mostly peat. 70% peat 30% perlite in HP. bx a bit more peat a bit less perlite. + dolomite lime and a wetting agent and nutrient charge

We believe that a shift in the water table was due to either a small earthquake fragmenting the natural veins of water that ALREADY flow underground towards the lake or, on the other side of the mountain [near the top] is being de-forested and turned into a high end vacation developement.100'S OF 1000's of square feet of tree's plants vegitation being scraped away to make room for concreate and tar......
I just happen to live between the mountain and the lake...
Long answer short...No...i dont see things settleing down any time soon....
Its either save for new drilled well, pay extra to go very deep1000-1500ft and still maybe have to add some type of filtration,or redig my shallow well on a very productive vein and spend on big money on various filtration fixes..5-10K guestamet:moon: arrrhhh...water out the waazoo, just not very clean.
