I think it's a stretch to say that BOG "miss-quoted" that statement, and I think it's clear, IMO, that BOG claims Sour Bub to be pure Bubblegum, and that it and Bubba fall into the same catagory, which I happen to agree with.

I don't see that it's clear at all. In fact, what you guys keep posting of BOG's words, just doesn't make sense. Only if you replace the word bubblegum with bubbakush does it make sense. And no, neither SB nor BK is simply a pheno of the IBL bubblegum. No way....IMO of course.

Screw genetic testing, all it takes is the guy to clear up the air...but of course getting folks like you all riled up may be part of the plan, carefree. (shrug)

I do know that my theory of SB and BK being bubblegumxkush crosses makes MUCH more sense than what you are trying to lay out here...using what I am certain was a misquote.
And yes, it WAS a misquote. BOG misspoke. It's clear. Now, if I am wrong, all it takes is BOG to come in here and state "No, I was meaning what I said...I found SB as a unique pheno that just popped up out of the blue from an established IBL...and BTW, bubbakush is the very same thing...a wild pheno that popped up out of nowhere from an established IBL."

THink maybe BOG would confirm that?
I think it would be easy to confirm...but what are the odds it gets cleared up with a few words? I betting the controversy is being loved.

And what do you want to bet that BOG has read all of this and is simply letting the controversy stand? I bet money that is the case. If not, then he should clear this up...and with clear words, not some mummble jumble that isn't clear. All it takes is a few seconds of typing to clear it up.

It would have been made clear a long time ago...if it were intended for it to be clear.

Again, how much Bubblegum have you grown?

Maybe I'm just old, but when I look at it, I am satisfied with what BOG said about this subject. I've grown Bubblegum's for the last six years, and I have my opinion about it, and it's my opinion.

If anyone has a problem with what BOG said, then start your own thread questioning these issues. Because it's clear you have no respect for my opinion so why would you want to hash it out in this thread????

If I continue on here at ICMag, I'll make sure I put a warning label in my signature,

Warning - All postings by me are my opinion, so just ignore me.

Hi Pirate,

I must have missed something, which is fine. I will go about my business just like this little guy. He buzzed around the Sour Bubble plants for several minutes trying to find pollen perhaps. The plants are reeking right now.

Hmm ... IMHO if BOG said he used bubba kush in the sour bubble. It would make them even more highly sought after. Simply stated: Bubba Kush is my personal favorite clone.

Hi Chile,

I love Sour Bubble, and think it stands on it's own. I think it's highly sought after without the comparison. A little more variety than the Bubba clone also.

The Sour Bubble testers are now being supercharged by the sun, and are drinking daily now, so I will have to transplant now instead of waiting the normal period for indoor grows.

They went over 5 weeks without being fed any nutrients, and still performed well. They will get as much as they can take from this point on, cuz the weather is perfect and they get over 12 hours a day of direct sun. We have had no rain in over 90 days, and I expect to get over 200 days in a row without rain if history holds true.

Man i am trully sad to hear about your rain situation. If i had no rain all year i would starve in the nug area. I hope you are blessed and safe.

This is back from an old SB thread...
Anyone have access to SKUNK may/june '07 issue with BOG in it?

Damn Raygun!, Did your garden get hit by a blizzard? :yoinks:
Really looking frosty. Those are some the most frostiest and most appealing pics I've seen yet. Not to mention that It comes from a ultrapotent strain. For those of you making comparison with Sour Bubble BX3 and kush strains you really know your stuff. I was reading SKUNK magazine (current issue) and it had a Interview w/ BOG. He was giving a background on how he first started breeding. To make it brief, he started with German shepards then cannabis. Then he started talking about his sour Bubble, and said that from what he remembers,it was one his bubblegums that got crossed with a kush(which one? it doesn't say), then worked with best one(s). He also said that he got his Sour Bubble lab tested at a university thru chemo/chromo therapy, something like that(thats what the process is called in which they get THC levels) and got a 32% THC!!! :jawdrop:
I really wish I could've gotten my hands on that one :badday: Maybe and hopefully Sbay will throw some more up some day. Anyway I thought I put my :2cents: , hope you'll don't mind :D Peace!

Yeah HIGHRIDER,
Very difficult to go gorilla gardening in my area without giving the plants a little help all summer and most of autumn. Our area goes up to 240 consecutive days without rain every year. We are surrounded by three 10,000 ft mountains though that give us a chance to grow amongst the millions of people in SoCal. We get water year round from one of the peaks.

Just went on the Skunk Magazine web site, but could not find anyplace to purchase back issues. I might subscribe anyway.

Found a few back issues on Ebay, so I just need to find out which volume and issue that BOG article is in.

Hi OD,

The ones on Ebay did not list the date, they went by volume and issue number. I will find that one issue somewhere, just because I enjoy that kind of thing I guess.

Here are a couple of the latest Sour Bubble testers. They are ready for 5 gallon pots, so as soon as my back feels better, they will get their transplant. They are being held back right now in those 2 gallon pots. I am supprised at how well the are doing with the sun, and artificial light by night.

The Geisha, and the Casey Jones plants will be touched by Sour Bubble, one way or another. The Geisha will go 5 gallon and right into flower, but the Casey Jones are just starting to enjoy their new 2 gallon home, so another 3-4 weeks for them.

O

They are looking great.....I love the nodes and tops being produced. How many days are these again?

Hi HIGHRIDER;

The Sour Bubble on the right and the Geisha plant could go 6-10 ft. if allowed. Just a matter of how much root space and veg time outdoors I give them. With no nutes, and being in 2 gallon pots right now, they have been held back long enough. Time to unleash them this weekend.
