Nevilles Haze X Everything....

Hi Hesh!
I'd run the Chaco Nev's Sis over NHM every time.
That line is amazing.
Chaco's Nev male brings the sweet haze incense and Haze A effects in a fast package with big resin coated calyxes. High potency. The plants have great structure, vigor, and resistance to typical garden problems.

Be interesting to see which you preferred compared to the Grail.

Looks like Shanti's Nev selection in the grail is very sativa.
Seems logical if you are trying to lock down one or both of the haze traits, but why take the simplest haze cross and select against the traits you tried to add in the first outcross (faster flowering, denser flowers, higher resin production).
Then, hybridize it with a different (less desirable?) plant with the intention of adding faster flowering, denser flowers, and higher resin production?

Seems to me like the keeper in a great Nev's selection does not reject all NL5 traits, but keeps the best from all 3 parents.
I think that's what Chaco did.

BTW: Chem's Sister > any Widow ever IMO ;-)

My single GHS Neville's Haze female was much broader leaf phenotype than what I was expecting but I am ultra pleased with her very positive and balanced and sometimes unexpectedly high high. Full of fun but always sincere surprises. A gentle teacher.

Nice dude, I've heard many good things about the Greenhouse line, easy to grow and consistent. That's hard to beat for sure. I've seen a few whole rooms of seed runs where all the plants, sometimes over 30 were nearly replicas of each other.
Fixed my camera today, for how long is the question so I took a quick shot of the OG Cookie Hazes from Relentless. They're in the late 40's of 12/12 so still a ways to go but I'm pretty happy so far, there's no lack of strong odors coming from this tray. It's like a great OG and an old SSH from MNS mashed together. I'm thinking that in 30-40 days they'll be breaking the tie offs...:tiphat:

Looking nice Stardog!

OG Cookie Haze is (GSC Forum Cut x 818SFV OG (R))x SSH F3

I have a limited pack of his SSH f3 I'm sitting on. Got me thinking about popping them now.

I'm really enjoying my Grail Widow grow. The Nev's Haze and the Widow male seem to work well together, but my two haziest plants have been throwing nanners in my cold basement.

Here's GW3, my haziest Grail Widow pheno, at 10 weeks. I quick dried and sampled a bud at 9 weeks...two tokes and I was high for over 5 hours. All in the head with no crash on the come down.

GW2 at 10 weeks. Serious resin.

GW7 is a nice yielder with big, potent buds. Flavor is great even with quick dry and no cure.

And here's one of the colas from GW7. Really nice plant. Definitely a keeper.

That's the ticket, great high, no crash. Sour D is like that for me where if I smoke Glue I have a slight crash but another puff keeps it at bay until I'm ready for a crash. When we ran the Mango Widow from MNS they looked like that pic above with the big fat colas. That was a great line, not sure if it's available anymore but I'd run it again in a heart beat.
Going to be trimming some sour d today so hopefully I can manage a few decent pics of this last one that was/is so stellar. There's 25 sour cuts in my veg just about too big for the beer cups so I'm searching my yard and attic for a 3x3 tray to flip about 10 @ 12-18 " in 6" of coco/rock mix. My friend had a good one going but root aphids took him down around day 50 or so and to make things worse some creepy scale showed up on his Pure Kush. He's obsessed with that thing and you can't blame him but that scale creeped me out. I'd never seen it indoors before, it looked like alien pods had come in and taken over the main stalk. The plant had been vegged outdoors at some point so I'm guessing the problem started there along with the aphids.

Great shots, OCS! Looks like you done those girls proper. 5 hour coast from 2 rips? Can't wait to start mine!

Stardog, MNS still makes the Mango Window, you could probably snag one on auction for pretty cheap. Root aphids are a nightmare to get rid of completely, don't think I've ever heard of someone losing a plant to em though---don't wanna know what that (or the scale) looked like! I got them last summer and found that Met52EC at 3-4tsp/gal for a few waterings was highly effective at taking those little bastards out. :tiphat:

Sounds like a great plant Covert
Hard to beat the power of a good Nev's plant.

That 5 hour girls sounds like a real contender :)

Somebody mention OG x Haze?
I've been lusting over that OG mango for years.

Finally flipped the sour dub and the OGBK 2.0 about 3 days ago. The Dub is on the left and the OGBK is on the right. It took a whole bunch of scrubbing to clean the room right. I had been drying everything from the last run in there so the lamps were off in there for the first time in near 15 yrs. The OGBK is in 10 gal of soil, all the rest are in coco but in the 3 days since I flipped the lamps they've taken off considerably.:)

That's a great spot to have both of them, right next to that T5 fixture . Should make for some fat buds on both. That 2.0 makes buds that have density that cannot be rivaled. Can't wait ti see things progress.

It's good to hear it's not just me. When I hear what other people are paying for power in less "civilized" states I'm nearly in disbelief. Remember in all the old westerns some guy would show up from Boston and everybody rolls their eyes... as Boston always stood for the urbane, ultra civilized, law and order, hyper educated place. It may be many of those things and I can't speak for Boston as I've only been to the airport there but state wise you would think the liberal establishment would have the power companies playing "fair", in a relative sense anyway.
That same liberal establishment though allows me to grow whatever I want and unless you're some high roller you're not going to find a bed at the states expense in a private prison. Honestly I think you would have to murder at least 2 people to lock yourself a spot in the jail...I'm being slightly sarcastic there but truly you'd have to work pretty hard to spend one night in jail for anything canna related. So my power bill is too high, things could be much worse, esp when I see what others have had to go through in less lenient states. Just don't flaunt it and you'll be fine. I could drive through stop signs all day with 10 oz in my car, not that I would but they care as much about cannabis as they do lettuce if you're over 21.
Across the street though is the National Park and that's another thing, another world, loaded with feds that do not play around so I don't ever go that way with even a gram in the vehicle. No sitting in your car watching the surf and having a puff or two.:)
I feel you pain Stardog. I’m wondering if you, or anyone else really, from Ma. knows anything about or has looked into Eversource’s VPP (Variable Peak Pricing) program? Apparently it’s available to all residents but is something that must be signed up for. Awesome gardens bro

I feel the pain even with my little 4x4 tent and LED COBs. Just checked my electric bill and I'm paying $0.24/kWh ($0.12/kWh for supply and another $0.12/kWh for distribution/transmission). I'm in National Grid territory therefore am not eligible for Eversource's VPP program. I do know that for large commercial/industrial users, the rate is largely based on consumption during the two or three peak days of the year. These guys build giant insulated thermal energy storage tanks that hold several million gallons of chilled water so that the tank can be filled during off-peak hours and drained to provide cooling during the day when cooling demand is highest.

The main reason we pay such high rates is because we're at the end of the natural gas transmission line, and all the NIMBYs fight every pipeline project tooth and nail. Our distribution charges are also high because we subsidize all those solar panels and wind turbines, and because it takes so much effort to keep the trees from taking out the power lines during our frequent noreasters and blizzards.

I know you guys don't like to mess with success, but at a minimum you should think abut changing to COBs for your veg lights, which have a much higher duty cycle than your flower rooms. Then there's this new standard the Mass DOER got the CCC to implement (source):

A lighting power density (LPD) standard of no more than 36 W per square foot of canopy for a cultivation facility with over 5,000 ft² of canopy. For smaller facilities, the commission establishes a LPD standard of 50 W per square foot.

A greenhouse and light dep would definitely be the best way to grow Nev's Haze crosses here in MA without ceding your first-born child to your power company.

The 2 female cuts I have flowering of those F2's look pretty good so far. One's has super fat tops and smells real sour and the other one is a bit more wispy and hazy but I can't reach it to see what it smells like.Today I'll be able to squeeze back there and have a better look when I cut down this Glueberry.
My bulbs are on the older side of old so I'm happy anything's growing well back there.I'm hoping to switch to single ended Gavita 600's when this run is over so I'm not buying any new bulbs just yet. This Glueberry finishes fairly fast,I think she 's at about 55 days in this picture. Most everything is growing great though despite the older lamps.:)

yeah Im just at 40 days + of flowering, so I guess smells can develop further yet. but now it looks like I was unlucky with diesels phenos. I realize 4 females is not enough for F2. anyway thank you for nice beaners bro.

ECSD is notoriously hard to capture in seed form.
Looking at those big calyxes and resin coverage, she looks like a real beauty. Don't be surprised if you find that you love what you got even if it wasn't what you were hoping for.
