Nevilles Haze X Everything....

This was one of the nicer top ends of the 91'. She was surely not a disapointment. Most of the plant I cut around 64 days and some of the lowers I let go to about 71-72 days. The longer running flowers seemed a bit more rich in flavor and smell intensity but just by a hair and it could have just been a psychological thing...:) This one is certainly everything it's rumored to be so I took the chance and flipped a huge one for the summer. Going to start the day out with Dogstars' Blueberry Sour Bubble, she's been hanging awhile so I think she's ready for a test and it's Saturday so I'm going to be rolling all day...:tiphat:

...and the pigeon laid on the deck for a bit then the cat found it.:)
That one's a headbanger for sure, after the initial lockdown though it puts me in the right frame of mind to work on some of my trellis nets and tie up falling branches on plants I can barely reach.
This Orange Kush in particular starts adding weight very quickly once she hits day 35 of 12/12 or so. This was from last night day 43. I've probably been over posting a bit due to my enthusiasm related to my finally eliminating the PM from my rooms. It was such a disheartening winter fighting with that nightmare but everything is still intact and cuts I've kept for over 12 years are doing great. The root drenches I did with Regalia PTO and still continue to do seem to have given the plants some immunity. This plant has more leaves than any I can remember having grown and it's so thick in there that it would be heaven for PM to set up shop and ruin me on this run.
I set up a tent in another location where I isolated everything new that came in and most of my older cuts I didn't want to lose. Between regular sprays of Regalia, root drenches and 9.0 PH pure water spray downs appear to have eliminated the issue for now anyway. My ventilation and air flow have all been upgraded and changed out etc ad infinitum.Up here in the NE anyway, E-Bay and Craigs list are full of gear for sale at less than 20 cents on the dollar. !0 years ago I would have never dreamed of how much brand new gear I could buy for a few grand.
My apologies for the essay, it's a bad habit of mine...:tiphat:

A closer picture of the higher top ends so that I can show the difference that should come over the next few weeks. I've cut off bags full of leaves from this plant but you could never tell.
I flipped a rockwool slab with 4 female Sour d x SFV Bx2's 2 nights ago. I ran some last winter and it's really the only cross I've made with the sour that comes out like I'd wanted, the rest have been hit or miss and since the plants grow so damned big a miss is big one and does nothing but add to my compost/worm pile.
The Nevils Blue hybrids I have going are just waiting for this thing to be finished. I used smaller pots this run which was a mistake but so long as they have water flowing through they're good.
This is a sport grow because I love this plant so much, just tying up branches will make you feel like you're in an orange grove.:)

Closing in on the big 50 day mark when this Orange Kush just shines. I was in there last night with my little camera and managed a few pics that did this thing justice. It's been a long time since I've run plants that load up so fast and early, they drink like crazy at this point and then they just finish.:tiphat:

Some lower end colas. I have a bare 1000 hps hanging 30" off the ground blowing the bottoms out. This is my second run with this cut so I'm still in the introductory stages of knowing how she rolls and what she wants to be perfect, it's like waiting for a baby...:)

Ah, yes indeed those Blueberry Sour Bubbles all came out great. Some of them were terribly strong in that indy way and I'm re-vegging a late rooted cut from the best one I found. She's been slow to start pushing new leaves but the roots are already popping from the bottoms of the 3 gal pots. I don't have any strong indy's in my collection of clones so this will be a welcome addition...:)
However an unwelcome addition has come back into my shop, another possum invasion. I thought I took care of this last year when they came in and I picked them off with an air rifle while I was trimming. Ended up killing 9 or 10 last year so this year I started out with a kinder, gentler approach, catching them and letting them go. Not a good idea...

These things make a huge mess, they knock shit over everywhere and and leave feces in places you can hardly find it etc. I had secured the outside last year but they found a way in so no more Mr Nice Guy, as much as I hate to do it there's no other way unless I want to wash and bleach my floors every morning, plus it's more than unacceptable when you try to keep things clean.
On a much brighter note my Orange Kush came out about as good as I could have hoped for, packed with cola after cola, perfect flowers.:)

Some of the first tops I cut next to my wall of fame. I filled every spot on 3, 6' lines with just tops.:tiphat:

One of the last tops to come down that had been leaning against the wall for a long time. They loved being in smaller pots with more frequent waterings. I'm fairly sure I doubled what I pulled last time from this same space but I also knew what kind of plant I had where the last run was my first and the name(Orange Kush) threw me and I was expecting a lankier OG type of plant intead of a giant bush of long colas.

One last post before I put you to sleep. The only sour d cross I've ever made that came out like I'd hoped, sour d x sfv bx2. There's 4 females in a rockwool slab against the wall. I ran a few test plants of these last winter and they came out great so this time I let them go fairly big. There's been some good sour d crosses I've done and I've found some winners for sure like my grape unit but like I read somewhere on IC and from my own experience, crossing to some kind of OG style plant gives the best results. Depends what you like I reckon...:tiphat:

My a/c situation is fantastic this year so even with 10k running my temps have been in the low 70's with the RH hovering around 40%. Even with temps in the 90's like they were two weeks ago it was no problem so I'm going to replace the Orange Kush with a huge sour d as soon as I can clean the room out. That room is my cold spot so the sour should light up. I have a small one right by my wall unit and it couldn't look better.:)

The sour loves the colder temps. This one I flipped at about 12-15" and now she's about 3' tall. This is exactly how I wish they all came out. I'm guessing she has another 25 days to go...:tiphat:

Wanted to see what a couple of days difference made with the sour. I had to add some lamps for a giant Lucy I have going and I moved the sour back a bit knowing she wouldn't like it. One thing I forgot to do was mark the date I flipped this one which can be semi critical for the sour but it could be the "weed trekkie" in me talking from my shoulder. She seems to be maturing faster so she might be at day 70 by the looks of her now.
My Nevils Blueberry hybrids are coming along great. Some of the BS 2.2 crosses auto flowered, a trait in the BS 2.2 I was aware of, maybe 1 or 2 in 10 females will have it, not sure but I had a great one that auto'd on me in the veg room as a mom.

Meh, looks pretty much the same...Here's what's left of the Orange Kush, I can only get to it so fast. I didn't have a single truly larfy flower on the whole tray and it's such great smoking weed, very high end in my humble opinion, esp for such a fast plant.

Typical untrimmed branch of Orange Kush. Once you trim it out and seal it up you can see how it might be thought of as an OG type of flower, plus the smell is off the hook. This is one clone I know I'll keep until they mow me down with a tank...:)

Obviously I don't have much of a life outside of growing...this is one of the Nevils Blueberry x Sour Grape females adjusting to the lights in my scrog closet. The amount of different varieties contained in this uber polyhybrid is crazy.
