Quote:As always, nice job Stardog. Are you still holding Coastal Collision, looks like you've moved on.
Yeah I lost my two cuts of CC due to one of those "stoner moments" during labeling and ended up with Bubbas everywhere, could have been worse. I've been trying to be more careful to not have a smoke before I start taking clones and labeling the cuts...
Looking nice Dogstar, those plants can put up some giant fans. I ran some of Karma's D-Kush right next to those and he used an SFV Bx2 in that mix as the male as well although of course with different fathers for the BX'ing but the D-Kush still had those huge fans. The D-Kush came out unreal. I saved the best one. I could have kept the 3 but I'm only one man with so much space. I have a plant I kept from my first run of that GG#4 cross, it's really fast and looks like what you would hope a GG#4 x SFV would look like. The thing grows like crazy, she's hard to keep down so I have to run her in a scrog net
I was operating on the biggest single cola of the bunch yesterday breaking off pieces of the top looking inside for any molds etc. This one came out fabulous, I took the smaller cluster there right from the center and that's the inside facing up so I'm super stoked. I might not have had this luck if it was July but in the summer I sort of stay away from the big cola types of plants and run OG's and sours or hybrids of both etc.
I've really enjoyed smoking on all the different Nevs Blueberry plants. It's only been a few times in my life I've had so much quality haze type of flowers around, I didn't find any hay in this lot which is always my fear when I devote lots of space to hazes etc. It's a big gamble but this time I managed to come out pretty well. Garbage bags full of apple sized clusters. I'm taking down my Sour Nevils F2's today. They came out great as well, really sour so I'm pretty stoked. I took some pics but they all were terrible, they're in my "Sour" album, all blurry. The rockwool killed it this run though, I really dodged a bullet with the PM. I lost a few slabs but you can't win 'em all. Now I'm back up and running full steam.
The best smoking/smelling plant from the Nevils Blueberry was the giant hairy one in the 1 gal pot. Most of the buds were apple sized but this smaller one was great for a joint.
I finally came up with some very sour plants from seed in the sour nevs F2's. I started taking them down yesterday as they were really starting to fade out. The tops are super dense and one in the back was rotten in the center, I should have taken it earlier but I just didn't realize how thick the thing was. This one has an orange kind of color and smells real sour. You can see the one "hazy" type out of the six behind her, almost twice as tall as the other 5, still an interesting find.
Sorry for the hps but I'm cutting her in 5 minutes so I figured, what the hell...
Jesus indeed!! I have this one freak in a rockwool slab cut in half. The lowers look exactly like the sour d clone I run from which I made the seed that grew this plant. Of course the pics I took close up sucked, nothing new but I spent the whole day taking down the rockwool plants and I'm still amazed that growing the exact same way I did 30 yrs ago still does so well. The simplicity of rockwool is just great. I used to to use Sensi A&B way back then but even with a modified Lucas formula these slabs just kill it. I like to grow in every possible way from dirt in my compost to hydroton. The close ups of the lowers are in my "Sour" album, just not fit for general viewing...
The one NLD type I found amogst the 6 females. Cool plant, smells great, thin racing flower clusters etc. The amount of plant mass coming out of such a small area of rw slab is incredible, at least to me.
New project, rebuilt room. I picked up this clone from a good friend and she's an animal. I know I'm probably using much more light than I need but I hate seeing unused ballasts laying around.
Yeah, rockwool is awesome. Clean, ideal air ratio, easy to use and flush. Like you said, can grow big plants in small amount. Used to grow 4 footers in little 3" cubes.Just PIA to get rid of. Tried burning it...heads up, that don't work.
Heard of a guy that used an old wringer washer to squeeze water outta slabs, before chucking them.
Big secret!! No, just kidding I can't keep a secret, it's called "Orange Kush" and the clone by itself, no flowers smells like a fresh cut orange and it grows like widfire. I don't know the exact origins but I sure as hell like it so far. The clones I took when I flipped these two just rooted so I'm really happy. It's been so cold I was worried they might stall but my new veg room is turning out to be 10x better than I ever dreamed.
Fantastico! Those Nevs BB look and sound great. No hay is a damn miracle with all that Haze blood. Something about the hairy ones, saw the same thing with Shanti's NL5Haze line.
Orange Kush is a great cut. Makes killer hash, that flavor is incredible and she packs a serious punch. That one should be fun to grow in your set-up.
