hey, i've got a question regarding the fabric pots that i hope isn't too offtopic here, considering this is a P2 cultivar that can get quite huge in its natural habitat and some will be growing it indoors.

ive always read that fabric pots keep plants from getting rootbound.
but on the other hand ive heard and also experienced first hand that lettin them go rootbound in small regular pots will keep plants small.

so now my question is, will a small fabric pot still keep them small without making them rootbound?

I can’t personally tell you much, with my limited experience with size restrictions ao I don’t have huge plants in tiny pots and only using fabric pots. The only plastic I’ve used is beer cups for my moms and making clones. I will say though I’ve had a honduras in a beer cup for a year now and it’s never showed stress or preflowering. My other honduras are revegging clones so we will see about those.

I would let dubi answer the question much better since he’s had much more experience then me with other sativas.

Forgot to mention all were transferred into beer cups 2 days ago. One had a small tap root and another was a cracking open. So hopefully all will pop in the soil.

I usually wait until the tap roots are about an inch big in paper towels before putting them in soil so it feels a bit foreign to me.

Only 2 made it sadly. I hope for a male and female to ateast have a seed population. I would consider myself very lucky to see the strawberry, watermelon, and mint terps on one of these. Though with my luck in the past it’s usually the boys that make it if the seed pack isn’t popping.

But they will be put in to flower in solo cups until they show sex and I will transplant the females and keep any male to the side to do a seed increase and be crossed to whatever Honduras, Ethiopian, orient, white chapel(golden goat x Jack the Ripper) and possibly China yunnan if I get that far.

I will!! I’m planning on germinating them next round. I’ll have these current 2 in and see what there like and making a larger honduras, Ethiopian, and orient to get me by. And then I’m looking at the China yunnan and nepal after.

That way I can see how they handle the more cooler weathers, because of there resistance it seems like a good reliable genetic for the temps.

For future references do they have the standard 3 month cure for long flowering sativas?

Fruity Nepaleses are already really good with 2 months of curing, and superb with 4 months.

Thank you for the info! These two nepals are going to get a bit longer veg time then expected. 2 more weeks, while letting the others fill out a bit more. And then we shall see! I’ll have to grab a picture of them soon.
One is shorter and more sensitive to heat, little upwards curl on the top leaves and the other is taller and not effected at all.

Any males will be kept to the side and the females will be up potted right away.

Flipped the one Nepal on the 16th! Definitely much larger then I wanted to start at. But the nepal as wel as other sensitive sativas did not like a higher dose of Monterey garden spray drench I did. A few weeks ago. As well as trying the higher ph for me I messed that all up and put me behind. Also was waiting on coco for up pots, what a mess.

On a good note, the female Nepal stem rub is reeking of eucalyptus. Like I touched it and thought I had Vicks vapor rubs all over my hands. Very interesting and prenounced for a landrace strain. Very exciting for me because I do like the mint/aloe/eucalyptus smelling things.

I wonder if that might be a precursor to maybe the citric side pheno or the strawberry side?
