Neilspotshop - 400w Grow and Show

Hey  rosy cheeks, thanks for the tip on the all mix i just assumed it would be to hot, i have some rooted cascadia clones that need potting so I will put them into the all mix straight away this time.
The Cascadia and hashberry are under the 400w, the last two pic's are under my new dual 600w'ers. The new room is in vegg at the moment, I have run out of space though so today i am going to get the 7 maroc's i have for outdoors out of there so i can pot up some more. I will get some better pic's of that room once they are re potted.
Best of luck with the photo competition, i have run one sensi star hybrid and was pretty pleased but it didn't look quite as good as yours!

Hello Neil,
I reckon it was about time to check out your grow. I've been meaning to for a while... Muchos respectos.

Congrats on one of your pics getting nominated for POTM. I have to admit I voted for Ezra's picture but yours is probably the best pic of a male I have ever seen.

One thing I am really jealous of is your chili peppers!! I mentioned in my grow that I was having difficulty growing them and then I spot you are a chili grower yourself.
I am now on my third attempt at germing these seeds I have. First attempt was just the plain old paper towel method. That didn't work. Second attempt was the paper towel method on top of my envirolight. Paper towel dried out one day and seedlings died.
Now I am trying again one last time. I have put the seedling in a paper towel inside of my aquarium pump to keep the towel moist and at a constant 26 degrees.

Any tips you have for me would be great. I really did not think chili seeds would be a problem for me, I have grown alot of stuff over the years but these are a real challenge.

Ps: Are you still planning on trying a new feeding this time round? I would be really interested to see someone else's results(i.e. yield improvement hopefully lol ;) )

Good luck on your next lot.

Hi melo, i saw that and meant to leave you some tips but i guess i got distracted!

The way i germ chilli seeds is put them into damp soil and put a plastic food bag over the top of the pot. You can use cling film too but if you do leave a couple of inchs spare of soil at the top cos it tends to sag a bit. Like you would with a clone, i am pretty sure they need high humidity to start and yes i think 26 would be great too.

Depends on the strain but some take 3-4 weeks to germ. Most i have found range from 2-3 weeks. I have just been putting my chilli's to germ on the inside window sill(south facing) if its a cold night i just bring them in the room.

Thanks for the comp. about the POTM, i was really pleased to be nominated. All of this months photo's were great, i nominated and voted for ganesh but really i think they all are good. I am growing my maroc's this yr based on ezra's thread :D .

I am following your feeding schedule with with the Cascadia and Hashberry. I also add fulvic acid to that but not to often. Its going to be a bit hard to tell if yield is better this time as the hashberry was flowered a bit small and i haven't run the Cascadia before. However the hashberry has got very frosty, i will have to compare some pic's but it seems sooner.
Good luck with your grow!

Yowza Neil :yoinks: That shot's worthy of National Cannagraphic! :yummy: Great smorgasbord of strains - that hashberry is some worthy lady though - you feeding her your secret barb-e-que sauce or what :biglaugh:

Hey Mr Green Jeans  thanks always good to hear from such a good grower as yourself!
The Hashberry is great, well this is the only pheno i have flowered but i don't feel the need to drop more seeds, yet i will some when soon as i wouldn't mind a male and too see if theres another side to the Hberry. I am smoking some from my last harvest thats been cured for over two months and its really great, nice mellow and relaxing.
I have just had to tie up a few branches of the Hashberry and one on branch on the Cascadia tonight. I knocked a few branches and wow things are starting to smell great, hashberry is sweet and hashy the Cascadia smells of lemon and something not sweet not sure how else to describe it.
I hope to do an update tmoz i have started sexing my vegging plants and i have a pretty sexy male and a few notable females.
I am need more space for males and mums so tmoz got some building to do.
Well heres a closeup of Cascadia.

Delectable indeed! This Cascadia thing does look tasty...:)

I've never had such a bunch of indicas in my room at once, and it is fun seeing some seriously chunky buds at last. Is Cascadia a good yielder, or more of the 'conoisseur' type? :)

I've got a few Deep Chunks coming up, which I'll have to do outdoors now, but that might actually yield higher than indoors, depending on the spot... :chin:

Ahhhh - the pleasures of smoking well cured bud... Back when I started I wouldn't dream kind would get this good:yummy:! My goal is to have a small variety of well cured bud around. Life is good!

Both the Hashberry and Cascadia look worthy - your macro skillz have really gone through the roof man, excellent shots.

Have fun with the saw and hammer!

Thanks bean! Yah mon fat enough :) think we will keep him around for a bit :D
Dr Dog thanks Me Niether!
I collected 6 packets of pollen from the Cascadia male before he was chopped and this morning used two packets pollinating a couple of branches on the Cascadia female. The pistils have already started to wither which i hope is a good sign.
I have put all the maroc's outside although one is in the green house. They will probably flower quite early but i am not to worried i am going to take a couple of clones and could do with an early harvest. So that i am not bored in september :D i am going to germinate my last 6 lemon stinky seeds and possibly some biddy's sister too. The mandala 1# are also going to have to go outside as they are to big for the greenhouse.
I have got to get constructing.
Good luck with your grows!

hey neil,
hows it going.

I like that hashberry pic you took. I think it is hashberry anyway. I wish I could take pictures that good. At first I thought the pistils looked really fat but then I realized it was just taken really close :biglaugh:
I am impressed how you can actually see the trichome heads.

Hey Esbe thanks, Will be interested to see your outdoor hashberry! :)
Blackmelo i'm good thanks. Yes the picture is taken with a super macro mode rather than a separate lens. Its means you don't have any zoom but you take pic's almost touching the lens. The Hberry is probably just over half way through flowering so hopefully she will get a bit more frosty :)
Pimp Aurora thanks :D Would be nice to find something like that but i am afraid its just this particular stud, at the moment :chin:
 :joint:
