Wholesalers telling me they dont sell direct, and retailers telling me to call wholesalers or mfg direct, the mfg phone number is no longer in service.

The price of a large avenger adjustawing with cord is $80-100/unit cheaper from a US online store vs any Canadian source.

$130 vs $210 https://www.hydroponics.net/i/137217 vs http://www.hydroshop.ca/en/grow-lights/reflectors/winged-reflectors/adjust-a-wing-large.html

Ive seen pallet packs on amazon but only for the medium size.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Eh $220 price if for online suckers go to the retailer that's the only way for a proper price. I usually sell them for $137+tax for the large ones and I also have 20 used (good shape) for $60 each.

Yeah at 220 the jump to DE type fixture becomes hard to pass up. I'm on the fence between cheapo's, adjust a's, or gavita's.

I am no where near a hydro store unfortunately or fortunately.

Thanks for the responses.

The Gavita Pros are pretty nice. I have a few guys using them and they've all switched to 600W from 1000W.

Only issue I have with Gavita is they state you should change the reflector when you change the bulb and that the reflector shouldn't be cleaned more then 3 times or something like that. Also heard Philips is going to have their own similar unit and you don't have to change the reflector so often.

Also the Adjust A Wings can be broken down into two wing blades (they are attached with slider/rivet) so several of them can be packed in a box. As long as they are shipped right away the wing blades shouldn't flatten out much.

How many are you looking for?

gavitas are nice, got some of their stuff.. the 3 yr warranty even nicer. i had some 1st gen LEPs that blew.. 2 yrs later they swapped em out for the newest version no problem.

was really impressed with the cust service from them (via the holland website).. the heat is really well handled as well.

the main issue with he 1k's is the hight of the space. need at least 2 foot clearance at all times or the plant will bleach. the 6 is much nicer unless you have very high clearance.

havnt bothered to replace the reflectors, havnt seen the need yet.. and im pretty lazy.

2 thumbs up on gavita cust service/warranty anyway.

Yah the 600W Pro have to be run about 30" from the canopy other wise the plants will bleach or heat stress/foxtail/horned buds.

Ill have to wait for mon to get the cost on the large Adjust A Wing as what I have in my computer was for when they had a sale on them and its $30 cheaper than what the catalog says plus the order was for 80 of them.

Going by catalog price I'd sell it for $440+tax Never ordered the 1000W so wont know cost till I call them on Mon. I might be able to get them from a secondary local supplier and they were cheap than the main Gavita distributor for the normal DigitStar by $5. If you are tax exempt say PST then you'd save on that I guess.

For bulbs normal Sylvania 1000W I sell them for $28.50+tax. I was matching another local store that sold for that price to some customers (I price matched) but I decided to sell for that much to everyone lol did that piss of some people.

Ive heard they go for 330 a unit with skid loads, I hope thats the case.

Ive got digital ballast so need pulse start lamps. Hortilux has some new MH pulse starts, for around $80 or so.

What province are you outta?

The 1000W DE Pro? That's way off (cheaper) than even wholesale. I have heard that wholesaler has sold to medical places but not sure if its was MMAR which would be wrong on any business ethics level as a wholesale or MMPR which is a different industry so doesn't matter for hydro stores or at least to me.

I don't even carry Hortrilux unless you ask for it and Ill bring it in next morning, no one I know has done any better using them vs say Philips or Sylvanias plus their fucking cost fluctuates so much.

I'm in BC Fraser Valley area.

Should add that could be just for the "Remote" version of the ballast so that includes no shade or bulb. Those I guess I would sell for $295ish going by catalog price.

The bulbs would be DW 1000W MasterGreenpower $127 and Gavita Pro 1000W EL SE $60-650ish.

Could have been the price without the de bulb. Its for a small MMPR facility, so I wouldnt mind wholesale direct.

Without the bulb it would be the normal looking ballast with a female receptacle for the lamp cord then you spply your own shade and buy the SE lamp or buy the DE Fixture for say $110 and the DE bulb.

Majority of wholesalers I believe decided to let the LP's know to shop through the stores. Not sure how many LP's actually did it, I had one approach me and gave them pretty much wholesale (because they were going to by so much) but the deals never materialized.

See the wholesalers can't really sell to the LP's as they always state they you need a store front in order to get an account. I know it first hand as the major ones refused to sell to me when I tried to start an online only store (I had a real business license for online gardening store and business bank account) They said no because it would be an unfair advantage to have no retail store and employee overhead. I said well isn't that good business sense to reduce overhead to have a market advantage? I guess no one clued in that its not 1997 and there's are only a few online stores.

For that many adjust a wings I'd do it for $128 after confirming the price. No one got back to me on the Gavita DE 1000W. Will have to wait till tomorrow.

Did you find out which ballast you got the quote for?
