winter is beautiful however i cannot wait for the first signs of spring!
This little bird was trapped between the window and the shutter/jalousie of my sleeping room. Godthanks in the morning, so I could let him free and he hadn´t to die.
These are pictures of a mixed species spawning swarm, laying eggs and fertilizing them in a mound of gravel\rocks on the stream bed. The orangish-red fish are breeding male Scarlet Shiners, and the larger grayish fish are Central Stonerollers They get the name from the habit of moving the rock with their heads and mouths to build the mound; in the second photo you can see one picking up a rock. The other fishes just take advantage of it. These are old photos and if I remember correctly there were a few other species here also, but I can't remember for sure. These were taken from a bridge with a 75-300mm zoom lens.
the picture with the berries look like elder berries I recently tried some you can only eat them when they are that color, green EB will make you run for the bathroom, the taste is like a prune crossed with a blue berry.
