Hey folks, I just had an interesting urban nature experience not 1/2 hour ago. I was on my way to Timmy's for a coffee, walked thru a path that led behind a couple buildings - And low and behold what do I see...
3 baby squirrels, maybe 1/2 grown frolicking in the centre of the path, 2 grays, 1 black. I stopped to observe, and they scamper over to me, and all 3 sit atop my shoes. Then one climbs up my leg to the knee, climbs back down and I petted them a bit. Soft fur indeed.
I did not have my camera, so on the way back home I saw the black one was still there, it had found some discarded fries/breadcrumbs + was stuffing it's little face. The greys were off somewhere else. Popped home, grabbed the camera and went back.
Here's the results. Who can resist tame baby animals - Say hello to my little friend...
