i deiced to cut short my twins experiment
i wanted to make a visual point for a friend; the difference in lollipop vs. not, with identical regiment!
he recently visited and was able to see the differences in growth and formation
i lollipop'd her; it will be interesting to see her finish next to her sister now
here's a quick run down.

SoG, what do you mean by lollipop'd? is it some kind of trimming technique? lst?

what happened to your trees? gave them the ax already?

yes; lollipoping is a trimming technique,
my trees are fine, just not in the frame;
they have three weeks to go.

if you look at the second set of pics in this series
you will notice one girl got trimmed a while ago; while the other was left untouched
i removed all lower growth on every branch extending from the main stalk
leaving the top growth only; thous making it look like a lollipop!
doing this in an early stages of flowering; makes the plant redirect
the energy invested in the lower inferior popcorn growth; to the top!

in the long run this makes for a much denser buds with no waste growth
weight wise; it will surpass a similar plant that wasn't lollipop'd
as my experiment demonstrated thous far

oh ok, I get it now, thanks for explaining!

I've done it before, but aiming at clearing the lower parts of the plant so that there's more air flow and less chance for any mold/fungi to grow.

also trim all over the plant where I feel there are too many leaves. also for improved air-flow and light penetration.

much peace!

everything looking beautiful SoG :)

I don't think the kaya gold is ready though... still looks too 'green'.

maybe another three weeks at least.

what kind of harvest-window do you look for usually?

peace!

if you look closely on her trich's she is getting ambers all over
not sure if its from my rosemary oil while ago or she is ripening early

ok, I see those amber trichs; but many cloudy and clear ones as well.

most of the ambers are on the sugar-leaves... maybe this could be due to the strong-ass sun out here?

how's the smell?

surely you can see more pistils popping out?

peace!
