I cannot leave till after October 9th so that is perfect timing. I looked into tickets to both places. Where all have you been titoon, and what are your favorite locations so far, have you done any backpacking or fly fishing. I have read that French is widely understood in Nepal, have you found this to be true? In 06' I bicycled throughout Europe for 6 months, last winter I wandered the Andes and Pampas and the Amazon for 2 months, didn't get away this year, but am looking forward to Nepal, all these wonderful pictures of hash have got me all excited, awesome stuff you have here titoon masterpiece

hanuman, mriko, i ll probably go ganja trekking around the 20th of august, and in the west part of nepal, where it is raining a lot less. anyway that is the moment or nothing, or afghanistan/pakistan... not sure yet
So now i got some picts of oil making, and my special hash making recipe (jelly hash)...
I will hear a lot of you scream for the yellow precipitate in the oil, i'm really not sure what it is, but it appears when i got the oil warm, and disappeared at the end.
It really looks like some kind of reaction of the resin, rather than any added chemical.
also i'm used to making oil and this oil seems very pure, and smoke very nice. i was thinking of throwing it all when i saw the yellow stuff but in the end, it is ok...
so any guess ? ever seen that ?

Looks like you'r ehaving lotsa fun up there ! this oil sure looks nice indeed,, not enough experience in that matter to comment on the yellowing though...
But still rains quite a lot in western nepal, definitely enough to be bothering.
Pakistan is good option and it's start of good period for going mountains as it's less hot than in May to July. And you'll have mature plants at hand too.
Afghanistan is hot option, new Taleban commanders have been appointed after important regional ones were arrested or killed in the recent weeks. Those arrested where actually in contact with some UN guy so as to try to organize some talks, but the new commanders say "screw the talk" and want to fight big time. 2010 might be a quite hot year for Afghanistan, and maybe not the best time for tourism there unless you enter from Uzbekistan or Tajikistan. Note that Thorkam border crossing and whole of khyber agency is currently out of limits for foreigners. Not possible to go Afghanistan by land from Pakistan.
Why not going up North and going round Mount Kailash ? Not many plants to see probably, but certainly amazing experience and meetings !

had another session of fun tonight, with the making of :
refiltered pollen ( 120 microns ) -> a very little improvement in the quality
+ rest of oil.
result is an amazing brown hash that melts, around 4g. just smoked a chillum of that, feeling it coming
I have to had more on the hash4, pollen.
This is by far some of the most incredible euphoric high ever. So far i've been smoking that everyday for a week, and still very little tolerance build up.
a very few hit from my spoon (small glass pipe) gives a buzz for four hours, very clear, very calming. It was a pleasure to watch some tibetan dances with that, otherwise it tend to be a little boring and slow. It also gets you focus on colours, shapes, very cool indeed to contemplate the costumes.
Two spoons (around .4g) tend to be much stronger, and it s getting harder to speak, but still manageable. starting to get really trippy, you want to move
getting deeper with the chillum, pure, it has some of the dankest flavors : strong hints of bubble gum, mixed with the uk cheese, some earthy tones, and some others flavors i still need to figure out. I smoked a 2g chillum few hours ago, it was a very very good experience i can tell you. once that i m pretty sure do every day from now.
On the yellowing, i've thought about it, and i'm pretty positive it has happened to me with some sativa nycd oil once, during heating, but much less, also there was a lot less oil. It could also be some kind of cellulosis reacting, or terpens.
i'ld like to hear some scientific explanation about that. got to send a pm to hashmasta, maybe he knows about it...
