All due respect DI, but they look like pretty normal healthy sat leaning plants to me bro? All the things you mentioned are totally normal. Pale tips, stretching, skinny prongs...
Thanks immaculate, I figured I better take control now why I still got a fighting chance.
I remove leaves only when they're covering up bud sights. Yesterday she got a pretty good haircut. So far I have only pruned a few lower bud sights that weren't getting any light, but I'm probably going to prune a lot more once she starts flowering.
Hey there D.I.trY. thanks for the kind words! Its actually not right next to my head, I guess I was exagerating a bit, its on the other side of the room as far away as possible...but the room isn't very big.
I read that thread and I don't know much about 1000w HPSs but I don't thinkn I'm having those problems. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll sertainly keep an eye out for it. It's only been like 11 days into flower, so it's too early to tell maybe...
I don't just don't see any syptoms of heat stress. Temps never get above 84*, there is no light bleaching, no taco leaves, no upturned tips. I have a fan blowing on the bulbs and my exhuast fan is pulling more than 100cfm. I understand that heat is too easy to build up and can cause havick for MJ plants.

I know the thermometer does not raise alarm bells however this is part of the problem that baffled me. It wasn't a case of the air being too hot (well there may have been a bit of that) but rather that the bulbs were hot and the spectrum of the bulb emits alot more infrared. When ur cab is all closed up for some time and you open it and immediately touch the bulbs how hot are they?
Its a big challenge for us microgrowers to reduce IR - especially for those of us that have to keep noise at a minimum. In a tent or a room for a more conventional grow the lights can just be raised to diffuse the IR or there is ample space to put in an oscilating fan.
looking at this picture notice how at the grow tips the new leaves are very thin towards the base, like they are tyring to conserve water loss brought about by the IR radiation. There is also a yellowing at the core of the tip. Like I say, I had the exact same symptoms and the remedy was reducing IR. this is not a nutrient problem or a ph problem.
like you say its only 11 days into flower so we can see how it pans out until you decide if any action is necessary. However i suspect they will behave like my plants did and will carry on stretching like an absolute bitch and you will be wondering if it will ever stop!
I'll definately be watching this one and thankyou for the updates! best wishes.
No worries man BTW I forgot to say nice job cozy on the training. Brilliant solution for small spaces.
How long was the overall process for you? is there a way to trim down the time from birth to flowering and still have the same overall bud quality and yield per plant?
holy shit shes looking great. wow I cant wate to see this unfold.
my newest scrog plant showed her sex 2-3 days ago.
so we r almost flowering at the same time. and both doing a scrog. but urs is way way way more filled in than mine.
but mine I will keep tieing her to the screen as she flowers taller. I love a good sativa.
zoom zoom zoom.
You's gonna have a jungle on your hands shortly. There are certainly worse problems to have. Love the looks of the plants, and I agree, this looks like a very healthy sativa to me. Is JH a pure sativa? Or nearly pure?
I know the first jack herer strain was bred by the sensi seed banks along with jack herer(emperor's new clothes).
quoted from wiki jack herer cannabis
"Jack Herer is a cannabis strain. This strain is a hybrid of Skunk #1, Northern Lights #5, and Haze.[1]
It was named after Jack Herer, author and cannabis decriminalization activist. It has sativa dominant characteristics. The flowering time is 50-70 days.[2]
Jack Herer won the seventh High Times Cannabis Cup.[1]"
I beleive last time i tried to research this, people had came up with 4 different phenotypes, 3 sativa dominant and one indica dominant. i cant remember if one or two of the sativa dominant ones grew like sativa and packed on the weight of an indica.
My plants, that seeds i took from the last bag of jack herer i got, are both different. both were lst'ed and one staying very short with thin stems and focusing flowering on the main cola's, lots of branching, and didnt show flowers until 3-4 weeks of 12-12. the other one, didnt branch out as much, flowers down to the dirt(litteraly, just had to cut a bud spot out cuase it was growing halfway into the ground) thick, strong stems and the buds are twice the size as the other one, and each fan leaf stem has turned a dark red/purple where the other is still green.
I base my answer off of my own research and what my plants look like, I have no idea if hey are really jack herer, but my friend's friend is a commercial grower and really has no reason to lie, so i can only take his word on it.
by the way, the plants are comming along cozy, cant wait to see them in full flower
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=110868it all depends on what pheno you have.mine was heavily indica dominant and only stretched about 20 inches.most JH will stretch a lot more if on the sativa side.
Yeah I can't wait to smoke this stuff! How long is your going to flower for?
ps got any new pix?
yah looks great. but looks like it might still need more head room to go to full flower.
