i try to cut with a node on every clone but sometimes its not possible . i dunno whats going on here , i'm just not having much luck with this orange kush . its probably one of the strains thats hard to clone . the 12 i have in the bubble cloner are still looking good but no roots yet today is day 9 for them ..... time will tell i guess .
3 more cuts in the hot house have wilted 2 OK & 1 SD . but when i got up the dome was dry so i added some water to the tray & sprayed the dome so hopefully they'll pick up .

well so much for the hot house ..... every fuckin thing in it died !! so far the bubble cloner is the only thing keeping this strain alive . i have 4 showing roots after 10 days in the cloner . everything else is looking great so we'll see after a few more days . gonna use the hot house & the RR plugs to germinate some bag seeds i have here for my stepson to grow out at his spot . so at least the expense of that won't go to waste .
this is one stubborn strain to clone !!!! my sour diesle wasn't this bad . i can get cuts off her & have roots in 9 or 10 days no matter what method i use . this orange kush has defenatly been a learning experience !!!

Oh man, lame. Sorry to hear about your spate of bad luck. I don't really know Jack about cloning, but I noticed the Neoprene/water glass ones up above didn't get any real light to speak of. I was under the impression that while too much light was no good because it discouraged root growth and caused too much transpiration, you still wanted enough light that some photosynthesis was still taking place?

make that 6 showing roots now at day 11 yay !!!!
my girls are at 21 days veg now ...could really flip the light cycle now if i wanted cuz they're all coming through the net . but gonna give them one more week so the OK really breaks through the net so i can start tying them down through thier stretch .

took 2 out of the bubbler with 1 1/2 long roots & planted them in 16oz hempys for now . the other 4 will go in the next day or 2 . then hopefully i'll get roots on the rest . will get pics up soon .

nice bro, at least you got some I did a little reading on JJscorpio's cloning thread, maybe your problem was you were keeping the temps too hot with the heat pad? He says 70-75 is ideal, hotter will encourage the stems to rot, just a thought... I have no experience with it as of yet. I'm just regurgitating info. Here's his thread, I dunno if you've seen it.

yeah i know dude ...read through it twice lol . i think my prob was to much moisture , heat wasn't to bad was like 78 to 80 most of the time . a little cooler at night . gonna use the HH to pop some beans for my stepson to grow out .
baba ku is having the same probs i'm having with his F13 ... but he lost like 75 clones before he got roots in his bubble cloner too ..... so thinkin this a just a PIA strain to clone . but yeah at least i found a way to get clones from her . just took some time & great advice from you guys .... thanx !!!

will update with some pics soon .... flipping the light cycle this morning as they're at the 4th week of veg & they're right about where i want them so ..... switched to early bloom nutes a couple days ago . give them a transition doseage . then in 2 weeks up the nutes again unless my pens come in & i can see what they really want for nutes .
did change the net around again .... lol just to cover the SD cuz shes such a stretcher & a longer (12 flower period ) where the OKs don't seem to stretch that much& have an 8 week flowering , so i figured i'd just keep topping them for more tops . the SD in the net with all the LSTing & supercropping i've done ... i have at last count 32 different tops maybe more . so this is gonna be an intersting next 8 to 12 weeks .

well i changed things around again .... the cabinet is going to be used for seedlings clones & vegging . i set up my room in the basement with the 430 watt HPS for flowering . put all 3 girls down in thier new home 2 weeks ago tommorrow . they are looking great with a slight calmag deficiancy . the orange kush plants (2) i decided to take out of the net & just top them & let'm grow out , got about 12 to 15 tops on each one . the sour deisle i left in the net & taped it to the bucket . after all the training LSTing & supercropping i did ... she has at last count 35 different tops . also did a little defoliation on the girls to let some light in ... was gettin REAL bushy LOL .

my cloning still needs work . all the clones in the bubbler died off except for 2 which i put in mini hempys but never really took off , not sure why ... they just seemed to never get any bigger . fed every day with week nutes , they did hit the rez in the bootom of the cup but never took off like the others did so i eventually just pulled them to check the roots out & culled them . i have about 15 more in the walmart icecube cloner going now ...we'll see . also have some seeds sprouted & going nicely .. have 6 bagseed seed sprouted & 7 super silver haze x great white shark seeds sprouted . can't wait to grow them out & sex'em . got these from a friend whos very patiently waiting for some of the finished product ... was his favorite strain for alot of years LOL .

glad you found the Walmart cloner thread as it is the simplest method to master as there is very little that can go wrong, if you understand the variables and get them dialed in, you get rooted clones EVERY time!

I had problems with cloning too. I've tried so many different methods. I've build bubblers, aero sprayers, I've tried vermiculite, perilite, peat pucks, rockwool, etc. All with bad results.

The way Im doing it now is to cut some branches and then let them sit in a glass of water for 24 hours. After sitting in the water I make my final cuts. They go into pre soaked peat pucks (PH around 6- 6.5) and then into a humidity dome. I use any old powdered rooting hormone and I've been getting 100% roots

I would be worried about spills with the electronics under your plants . water & electricity don't mix .

I'm in the process of moving & setting up a little bigger grow with side by side 400's & my cab will be turned into a veg & clone cab soon ..... when i get set up i'll get a thread & pics going .
