well I've been using a sprayer to water the plants and they dont go anywhere but I suppose when they're dry and you blew them they would... I didn't leave enough room at the top of the pot to mulch properly.. Will do so when I re-pot

I tend to spray the top[s a couple times a day too keep it from drying out anyway

good point, leave extra room at the top! i'm new to the mulching in a container garden.

i just checked the link that you put up in the mulch thread. it says that those coco shells will stick together as you water, so that answers my questions...won't wash away, won't blow away. think i will check those out also. lookin good so far, you should keep the pics coming...

Were you using the cocoa for aeration in the soil or to mulch?
If for aeration, is this your first time using them for said purpose? How are they working out for you.
I've seen them at the nursery but afraid to try because I thought they would have some adverse affects. Dont want to harm my girls.

First time doing organics, first time using mulch, first time using cocoa shells.. But yeah I'm using them for aeration and mulch, seems good so far fingers crossed ;)

Good to see youre back! I got a chance to read through your thread and Im curious to see where things go; I like it so far, you have some healthy babies there!
The coco shells seem like a good idea, it will be interesting to see how it works out, I cant see why it wouldnt. Ive got a nice sized stash of shells and my plan is to turn them into biochar once I get the charburner built; maybe I could try using some of the finished product as mulch, or as a part of a blend with straw or something similar? Have you ever tried making biochar before?

Keep it up!

Do you have alot of experience with super cropping? I have always used that method first because I believe in the least pain possible, we dont want stressing ladies!! I go fairly lightly as far as pressure to the stem goes so sometimes it takes me few goes to get those tops to lay over but I find with persistence and patience it works great
Im aware of info about the method supposedly increasing bud size but I havent done enough comparison to be able to tell

theres a thinking that gains made from training {pruning;LST;super;etc} are as much a product of time as anything and smooth out in the long run if you just dont bother

its great to keep clone mothers though

Usually I super-crop with I have a plant that likes to stretch more than the others, gently bend the stem back and forth to make it soft then snap it over.. pretty much it..

Yeah I get ya mate I did top these in the end, as to be honest I haven't got a lot of room and just wanted to concentrate the light on a couple branches on each plant to fill the canopy... but yeah the time it takes to recover usually out-way the yeild V time to to recover.. I do get ya even tho I cant explain what i mean properly LOL but these have started new growth in 2 days that's really really quick in my book

yeah 'time to recover' is the issue

a *non-issue FTMP as long as we understand the effect

OTOH filling your canopy is a big factor w/ yield ~really makes a fine case for SCROG

*lol
