Ok that helped me, my pile seems a little soggy I didnt have enough time to add the straw I wanted to..that text says if its abit wet less oxygen is present and the pile turns anaerobic So I really need to get it dried with that straw fluff it back up to correct level of water/air and size as it shrunk by nearly half so its like 4 ft width by 2.5 high so thats my problem or problems anyway
An when I say little soggy if you squeeze and handfull water runs out...
w89 - your numbers are right on, I just misread what you posted. my bad.
CC - thanks for that clarification about the neem cake. I have the organic stuff from neemresource, and I've never stumbled upon the DTE version, so sometimes I forget that there are different grades of cake floating around....and that 1/2 cup measurement is taken from one of your old posts as LD I gotta say you have honestly been the most informative/inspirational being I have encountered on my quest for knowledge in regards to cannabis botany. I have spent endless hours reading your posts under various monikers - I even have a word document where I have copied and pasted dozens of pages of your posts lol. Thank you so much for everything you have done, seriously. I can't even explain how thrilled I am to be able to participate in a forum where you are active...:yay:
are you adding any rock dusts to your compost pile? composting slow to become available amendments makes your soil mixes better and helps to negate any ill effects from not letting a soil mix sit for a while
remember to keep a seedling mix {@least @ 1st} for tender seedlings and fresh-rooted cuttings
yeah I added about 6 or 7 kg of rock dusts too my compost pile, and the seedlings go into a light mix with no nutrients added apart from a little bit of kelp as a top dress, they get sprayed with alfalfa and kelp tea after about a weeks growth..
