Thanks for stopping in baccas125 i've been loging into the chatroom periodically to see if i can catch you so talk to you soon!

The grow is good as can be with all thats happened and no more loss just short yeilds cause they are small and i did not have enough time to wait for them to grow,Had to flip so i can get them finished cause the babies in the veg room will be huge by the time they are ready to harvest!

VT hope all is well...

Until next time be safe and take care guys!

Ok now i have shown you what to do once you get rot. That is run peroxide 3% for 3-5 days to start killing the rot,Then you run pirhana or another simular product containing ecto/endo fungi. This will get the roots growing again!

Now after the roots start developing the final step is to cut away the dead roots,As the rot will still spread to the new roots with the ect/endo fungi thriving so the key here is to use the fungi long enough to get new roots developing once they begin developing good. You need to cut away most of the dead roots, which will leave some rotted and lots of new healthy roots, enough to keep them alive. Then convert back from the pirhana to the peroxide which will again prevent the spread to healthy roots. Now all thats left is to slowly but surely cut away all dead as the new white healthy roots develope eventually you will have nothing but healthy white roots,You also need to begin to add an enzyme theres a few on the market i personally just use the advanced nutrients sensizym but many others like hygrozym so be sure to add this and dont worry the peroxide wont harm the enzyme they will work together the peroxide will be killing rot and enzyme will help break down the dead roots left and of course with help from scissors and you they will recover 100%....

Look at these new pics and see if it helps you understand whats going on.Now its just cut dead away as new healthy roots grow,Trust me you will fully restore the roots.I dont have time to veg any longer so i have to just roll with it,But you can clearly see how to get rid of the rot and get a healthy established root system using the method i have shown here.

nice explanation of handling the rot bro i have noticed small bits on one of my plants and will be hitting her with peroxide 3% and will let that run for 3 days or so... and then switch the water out and follow your steps...

i will keep you posted as my plant is in veg and i will be able to document all new growth to roots and plants...

Coloradro if there is just al ittle rot showing on a single plant or 2 just cut the rot away and run the 3% peroxide through and all will be well!

I would have cut all the rot away long ago had there been any good roots,I had to get a new root system developing before i could cut the rot away,And still even after cutting most of it away i need ot get more roots developed so i can cut it all away!

it seems to me that some root rot is unavoidable, especially at the end of the flowering cycle

but then again i dont have a chiller nor do I use anything except floranova

the single best improvement i made to my system to reduce root rot was to install a good particle filter on the nute pump output. bacteria that would build up on the inside of the tubing would would peel off in sheets and get all choked up in the root ball and start rotting

Blaze- I too kept having problems with the rot. I changed the size of my buckets - went smaller - actually I use 4" x 18" tall PVC- and run massive amounts of air into 'em. I also feed my recirc system from the bottom, allows for a great flow and mixing of the nutes in each vessel. rot is a thing of the past. I also use GH Subculture - great product - and i habitually untangle my roots throughout the veg and flowering cycles - tedious but...HELPS TONS!!!!

You say that like i have root rot over and over lol,I feed from the top for a reason properly mix the nutrients.Feeding from bottom and draining from the bottom will not mix nutes like top feeding. None the less root rot is not a problem i can't handle nor is it something i have to deal with constantly. The problem is solved and surely no root rot will be developing on the next run.

None the less thanks for sharing your veiws on the matter.I am not sure we see eye to eye but thanks either way!

Ok guys i have got all the roots on the babies rebuilt and healthy still have to do the moms as they needed longer because they are bigger plants and need a larger mass to support the plants. So they are not completely recovered yet but all the small girls are 100% recovered.

I am going to post some pics.So those of you who let root rot get you down.Well try this method once and roots will go from rotted to brand new!

Also the veg room is comming along...

As you can see roots are 100% healthy and just over 14 days ago the roots were nasty and rotting!

Great salvage BOU! :respect:, bummer to see you had so many problems man, like your new buckets though, notice you made a phew more mods to your new rig, like you ditched the overflow lines ???? any reasons or did i miss em, and went black tubing :) and theres a phew more. anyways i finally got here from OG (ive been away a while) and waited nearly two weeks to get "approved" to post here so be honoured to be my first , ive had plenty of time to catch up on everyones grows.

well ill be posting up my own "newest creation" next thing, hope you get a chance to have a look, used alot from what i seen in your grows you champion,

Eulogy glad to see you man, I have wondered how you been a couple times and though to myself where did he run off to.

Anyways glad to see you back on and hope to see that grow of yours!

Yeah i ran into some problems this run due to slacking off.I put family life first for a bit and put the grow last and it cost me a nice loss. But all is back on track and schedule is right again.

Now that i am behind a bit i am putting together a 1k soil crop,Anyways here is a pic of what i got to get to mixing!
