Hey blaze if you got the time i got a quick question, i see you got a bunch going on. towards the end of harvest my ph kept droping. I didn't have an ec/ tds meter and only ph dropper tester. during whole grow ph was 6.0 only last 3 weeks was tough to maintain any suggestions for next grow did like 4 water changes and followed gh 3 part formula chart, with kool bloom.(no grow) as chaRT says. Tried it with no kb, less nutes same thing. But i thought this part of grow i would need more nutes instead of less. ph drop to 4.0 kept having to adjust didn't want lockout. any tips suggestions.
Im not positive as i dont know your water source but im assuming the last 3 weeks of flower your ppm levels were really high causing the plants to drop nutes and fluctuate ph.
My reasoning for saying this is that it remained stable until you hit peak feeding scedule. At that time it began to fluctuate seems to me you reached there limits and then they started dropping nutes.I think changing the nutrients weekly will help keep it stable.
Howdy Blaze, how are ya man?, Boy oh boy, your whole op just looks fantastic! Its just gettin better and better and the KBS is a pretty cool addition, what are the 2 thingys hangin off the kbs? Glad you have the means to deal with the heat.
just awesome blaze, im gonna stay tuned and check in more often,
Bonzo thanks for stopping in them are the cheapo air pumps running the 4 airstones in the nft/swc in the bottom bucket,I was not going to get a big compressor/blower for the 1 single bucket lol.
Im just toying with a cheap ghetto kfb bucket to see what i can do with it Just basic to play around a tinker with it till i nail it and setup a big room....
Ah, the KFB makes an entrance  I remember you saying you were planning on getting one up and running, but I didn't know you were hooking it into your current system. But, you never cease to throw something unexpected in
Is this in prep for the tree room we discussed, or just a 'for fun' sorta thing? Plans still in the works for a tree grow?
Ok guys i have had some major problems break out....
Lost one purple had to clone it why i could.Every single bucket in the system including the kfb has root rot.I am almost positive one of the moms i transfered into the room must have had some root rot going on deep in the root mass,And i had to have missed it transplanting as its spread quite quickly to everything...
I treated them with 3% peroxide and now need to put together a seperate system so i can transfer all the plants over and clean/drain the system and sterolize everything.
The damage is done and i noticed the root rot when one of the purples started sagging and laying down looking like it was being over-watered,So i checked the roots look dried up cause i had dropped the water level to low for its roots to touch. It was the smallest of all the plants. After I pulled that one i started checking the system and roots. And noiticed i have root rot and it it has spread through-out the system. Time to isolate the moms cut off any dead/infected roots from the babies put a new girl in the kfb bucket and get back on track going to add pirhana soon as i get the system drained and cleaned which wont be till i get 12 buckets to transfer them to why i drain and clean the system/seperate the mothers.
Anyways i have pics of all the damage. Now we will see how fast i can get it under conrol.
Anyways the root rot had to have come from the moms when i transfered them, seeing everything in this room is optimal....
This is a prime example of how fast root rot can spread through even a healthy system running optimum solution temps and ect.One plant gets dropped in that has rot and it will vastly spread to other roots no matter how optimal the conditions are
Also a reminder to fully check a plant out before adding to a recirc system.even if the roots are massive and white look deep into them to insure no rot is hiding up inside the mass as it can quickly spread to the rest of the plants in the system.Even under optimal conditions.
You would cut away any dead/rotting roots,That show discoloration then fill a seperate 5 gallon bucket up with plain water add 20ml per gallon of 3% peroxide and set it in it for about 24hrs then should be nice and safe to add into the system.
KEY HERE IS PAY ATTENTION AND BE SURE TO EXAMINE THE ROOTS, BEFORE TRANSPLANTING FROM ONE SYSTEM TO THE OTHER.
The main reason this accured is because of my neglect, Had i been on top off the veg room the mother would not have had any rot to spread through the system.I did not keep it sanitary and i did not change the nutrients properly. This in turn ended exactly as shown above.
Now today im back to work veg room is being remodled,Im going to install the ac in the flower room. I am going to run a 120cfm fan from the flower to the veg which will pull fresh air and co2 from the flower to the veg. Basically the veg room will be cooled/fed by the flower room. And im going to do everything possible to get this rot under control,i will be sure to post up on how it goes and what i do
Well it is a ongoing battle currently the main task was to resolve the problems with the veg system and room to prevent any future breakouts had to fix the problem where it accured.
Lost a 3 purps and 1 blueberry before i could get things under control but i got the rest of the living plants growing new roots and healthy white color.I have lots to do and there is not much of an update yet expt pics of me adding ac to the flower room and rebuilding the veg room and system.
Right now as it is im trying to decide weather to finish this run or just toss it and start fresh seeing i have everything together now.i will post some pics tonight i lost 3 purple and 1 blueberry over-all considering how fast the rot broke out i done well.
I will post pictures of everything tonight and update seeing there's some intrested in how things are comming along.
Ok heres the deal,Lost 3 purps total and 1 blueberry.I ran plain water adding 5ml per gallon peroxide for 3 days. Then i drained filled with nutrients and added some pirhana to the system. I was not able to transplant/clean the system as i dont have enough spare buckets around to do so.Now the plants that are alive are alive to stay. They have not done much the past 10 days but the new root development is deff going to get them off and growing again.
I took care of the root of the problem and rebuilt the veg room cleaned system very good using bleach solution 2tsp bleach per gallon. Then ran clean water through the buckets until i was satisfied the bleach was gone. I ran a 120cfm fan from the flower room to the veg room so the veg room will feed off the flower rooms ac and co2 which before it was getting no real fresh air or co2. I have lots of cuts rooting of every strain. And system awaiting them soon as they all root out.
I will be flowering the other room and exepting the loss as i dont have time to continue vegging 20 more days and then flower for another 70 or so days.By then the clones im about to put into the veg system will be far to big for the veg room.so flower it is i'll get some descent yeilds shitty GPW but the mother plants will yeild pretty well and give me smoke to last till the next run is complete plus i have some tiny babies i may get a eighth off of lol...
Anyways guys thats what i done and heres what everythings looking like now!
