G'day orfeas. This strain has never hermied on me and I've stressed it to the shit house. Very stable strain. By inducing it to go male with a chemical this should not alter it's genetically. The pollen collected, if any, will be going on to a healthy female. However the seeds produced will have no male genes in it, hopefully.

Indeed shroomy, I got a few nice trout last week in a river ten minutes drive from here, just chucked a few worms around. When the water level goes down a bit I'll get the fly rod out. A little hard to have a beer fly fishing but i will get a few in at some stage maybe a snag or two as well.

One more thing, this colloidal silver generator has an auto and manual mode. In auto mode it switches off automatically when the ppm are about 15 ppm. Then it's supposed to be OK to drink. I'm not drinking this shit. Think I'll just stick to a cold beer. In manual mode it will keep on cooking and after about 10-12 hours I should be able to get it up to about 40-50 ppm. Then it's spray time.

does the machine give you the ppm measurement so you know when to press stop? and what water are you going to use just tap water?

It does not give you the actual ppm however the manufacturer supplies a chart and formula for working out the ppm depending on the size of the container used for production. Don't use tap water, to many impurities. I am using double distilled water.

I like the direction you are going with your breeding....
Now you boys are talking my language. Fishing Beers and BBQ.

I recently hit some High Country, up to Bonnie Doon then up into the rivers in the 4wd's
We got onto a few good Pan sized trout but nothing special, but great times and it was great to see the rivers full and flowing again.
We also went to Big River and got a few rainbows and found a heap of beer bottle sized crays walking out of the high water...It was a field day we had 15 good crays in 2 hours, we could have taken a shitload more as they were in there hundreds....but why take more than we can eat.
Grandfinal day round 2 was a smorgasbord of trout and fresh BBq split crays

I have also recently found a place very close to my home that has a big lake in it with a huge bbq area, playgrounds and sport facilities.

And the best thing is the lake is stocked with Rainbows.

Just b4 the last school holidays it was stocked with 600 rainbows by fish victoria.
A week b4 the last hols it was stocked with 200 Rainbows over 3kg(ex breeding stock)
100 Rainbows between 1kg and 3kg
and 300 between 300g's and 800g's(great pan size)
We recently caught 2 over 1kg and a couple 500gramers in about a 4 hour period, cooked them up in foil on the BBq's there and had a great day.
I have also been doing a bit of saltwater fishing the last 2 weeks and have been getting a heap off 800g whiting and some good sized squid but that Big Red Schnapper has eluded me so far this year...but i dont have access to a boat ATM so that makes it hard.
