Post some pics up when you can. She's getting better, so it's OK to laugh at her lampshade misfortunes a bit...right?
Thanks man, we are a family of dog lovers. Years ago my sister met a Boxer in need. Family abandoned her at 11!!!!! Ever since, we have a soft spot for the defective little beasties. ;-)
I use the 'two knuckle method' for determining ear cleanliness, and yes it's disgusting:
Index finger down into the ear to the second knuckle. If it comes out brown and smelling like beer or yeast clean with a paper towel, twisted to a cone and dipped in H202. Just wring it out and work it until you you see the back legs moving. I had an old girl that used to always get yeast infections in one ear. Very hard to get at a dogs eardrum, you have to go down, then up then in toward the brain. As long as you go downward, you'll never hurt them, mine love it.
I've told Raven and Brenna too, they are also sending warm regards. Bella is laying down for this one.
