My Box Set Up

Hi Deb, and yes Joey is correct, it is glowing. The texture that you see is from the light shining through the white paint that I applied quite liberally to the interior. The main power strip is attached to the outside also, and soon there will be two fans as well. Like momma always said, "It's what's on the inside that counts." :)

Are those 30 gal rubbermaids? How long have those been in flower? What size are the pots? And while I'm asking questions.... what do you mean by central coast?

One of the boxes in the picture was of 3 plants in 1 gallon pots while the other had 5 smaller 4" or so black square pots. The central coast of California.

centralcoast, those bins are the exact same ones my friend just bought, I was making some measurements and noticed that they would only be able to fit around 10" plants. Has the height restriction been a limiting factor for your grows??

Agent-Smith, well in all the boxes i've flowered so far i've hit the babies with Bushmaster as early as possible in 12/12 and LST'ed them a bit while they stretching for some of the taller ones. So to answer your question, no height restriction hasn't been limiting -- yet.

Lifeless, specifically what brand/type of soil do you use, and which nutrients do you use, on what schedule?

Seeing as this is my first grow, I figure I might as well take it from a guy who knows what he's doing! I'm emulating your design as best I can, I have a grow box I've completed based off yours (to a smaller scale) and now all I need is a soil and nute regimen. Even with all the extensive reading I've done I still don't feel I have a thorough grasp on soil mediums, so I figure to get off to a start and have some sort of comparison, yours would be best.
I hope you don't mind!

CrazyShit right there man. Give some specs on that. Very Very Nice.

CJ117 I just recently switched nutes and am now using R/O water. I have to say things have never been better. Im using 3 parts FFOF 1 part worm castings 1/2 part Chunky perlite. Ferts are pbp soil, bloom and cal/mag+. Get yerself a turkey injector that measures in ml. R/O needs cal/mag added at 5ml per gallon every watering. Veg is 5ml cal/mag,10ml grow every watering threw the 2nd week bloom. Then 5ml cal/mag, 15ml bloom every watering threw week6-7 then flush flush flush. Thats what is working for me. Gl and keep us posted on yer results. Keep them bulbs close and youll do great.

Cerb better late then never. welcome to the lab.

I been using a 600 Hps latley and did some picture comparing from some old tub grows and there damn close to what the Hps is putting out. Penatration is the only diff. If we could get some under lighting you could pass the Hps. What about some self contained cool tubed Cfls? Im turning 2 of my tubs into breeding boxes. Best part is i can control venting to not spreed pollen where its not needed. Anymore Tub grows out there? Lets see em people. Heres a pic i took 8 days ago of my current grow of Bubblegum. CJ thats using the fert schedule i posted. Thats under a 600 on day 35 there now alot frostier and larger. Whos gonna get the 420 post here?

CaN i ASk you, Lifeless, where you purchase your soil/nutes? Maybe you get some good prices. Do you get it online or in-store?

And just to clarify, you use..
Reverse Osmosis water, (where do you find this? could I just use perf. 7.0 ph water instead? My tap water is 7.0)
Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil combined with Worm Castings and Chunky Perlite
Pure Blend Pro Soil nutes, Pro Bloom and Calcium/Magnesium+

I'm thinking of constructing another, smaller box just for mum's. As it is, I have 4x 40w CFL's at the 2700k spectrum, and 2x 23w at the 6500. My dispensary sells clones there, but they're 10-20$ apiece and I figure with a good mum I could just keep her in Veg forever with my single vegger and not have to spend money. Heck it could be smaller too! What do you think?

And thanks so much again for all the help! You're an inspiration to us all ;)
