Much appreciated it man. I plan on being around for a long time. Do you ever feel like you were born to grow? I'm sure many of us do. When I add up my life experiences and passions, growing great green is the final solution. It's an incredible feeling to know what you are here to do and love doing it. That's something special.

Not too much going on in the room right now. All the little ones are coming along. The clones are finally starting to get their roots settled in the Coco.
I need some more air movement in that back room to run the 1000watt. I gets to hot right now. And I'm going to properly fix the door going into the grow room so that it's sealed at the bottom.
Sounds good, can't wait to see that thousand watter burn the paint off the walls.j/k

Look what you did!!! Just last night I was showing the wife around the prospective 'Grow Attic' and told her to make sure she stands on the beams because you can fall through. Today, I was up there and slipped.
She is gonna be pissed, fortunately I am quite handy. Stupid itchy insulation.
I fixed it, thank you HD for having small pre-cut gypsum board for me. I think I am gonna take off the popcorn.

LOL oh shit bro. That sucks. I had the same thing happen to me at my old house lol. The cable guy fell through my ceiling while he was running cable in the attic. Gotta be careful up there without floor down lol. Those beams are a bitch to walk around and do stuff on.

Toker, you can get a Homax spray-on repair kit for that. If there's any staining, you may need spray kilz.
I used to hate ceiling textures but there's something even worse. Homax makes wall texture, to me it looks like lumpy paint. And you can't get it off.

I bought a can of Homax, but when i went to pray it maybe covered 1 sq. ft. I got jipped, and that shit was 15.00. Long story as to why I did not return it, but I look now and do not like the 'corn on the ceiling.

What a thread! I'm only up to page nine, I'm going to have to come back and finish it later, but those first pages have really got the gears turning! I'm about to spruce up my own attic in the next couple months, and it hadn't occurred to me to put any water/drain up there, but now I think I must do it.
I'll be taking pictures, it's an old house with old insulation, rats nests, bees, little skeletons and all sorts of nasty. It won't wind up as nice as yours, but this thread is very inspirational. Another poster was right, carrying water up and down fold down stairs would be lamer than lame.

If you can run water and drain up to the attic it makes growing feasible up here. You don't need the gas, just A/C during the summer. Insulate like SOB.
That's great that you are taking some time to plan all this out. My best advice is to read and read and read and then plan and read and change the plan and read lol. You get the idea. Put all the work in up front and it makes things a little easier lol. It's a major task, but it's the experience of a lifetime. Keep the growing bit small at first. Just a few plants. KISS baby.
