Here are some updated pics from this morning. Last night I was trimming off some dead fan leaves so those lower buds can get more light in their final days. Near the tops of the plants, some of the branches grew very close and dense, and last night I pulled one of the branches away from the main stem for a cool surprise; a bipolar bud. Its hard to take a photo but this bud has a distinct line, on one side it is dark purple and the other side is light green.

I am not going to turn lights on on Thursday and I plan on harvesting in the late afternoon. That comes out to exactly 8 weeks flowering.

Also, this morning I was watering and found these little fuckers on a few leaves on one plant. Luckily this infestation is at the very end of flowering and not a very bad pest. Better to have a few aphids than a million mites. From what I have read they mostly just suck energy from the plant through the leaves, they won't damage buds; is this correct?

Love the photos I run that strain too, but in 5gal hydro buckets. If you are interested in maybe going soil-less let me know. I bet you could get 16oz+ in a 25sq ft area. I flower my PK 63 days.

I am interested in going soil-less in the future, but right now I don't have the money to be buying more equipment. At the moment I am happy just running some soil grows learning as much about cannabis as I can. This is my first grow so I still have much to learn. Next I am planning on growing some Blue Dot, Alien Tech./MTF, and Sour Bubble and going crazy with LST to see how much I can yield utilizing tent space better. I am limited to 6 plants total and a ~16 sq. ft. area.

There is no comparison soil v hydro. Hydro your 16 feet $200max Look at these soil plants sitting on 5gal buckets , everything around and on top of them are my four 6 footers (top of canopy left to the imagination )

Either way you are going to be enjoying some sweeeet Purple Delight soon enough!

This is all compliant with CA P. 215/SB 420 so I have a limit of 6 mature plants, otherwise that tent would be stuffed to the brim. If you didn't see, the setup was completely changed when I induced flowering. The much smaller previous setup and my ignorance about training is why there is so much spare room at the moment. Next round I am going to LST w/ a super long veg period so hopefully my 6 plants will fill up the whole tent.

I just snapped this pic and thought it was kind of cool. These girls are looking a little tipsy. The stem is in the center of the pot but the main cola is sagging so much it sticking out 3-4 inches from the side of the pot.

Watching the lights go off for the last time on my first harvest is truly a special moment. One of the most memorable experiences of my life so far!

And w/o all those fan leaves blocking the view...

The parts the got the most light turned the most purple. There were a lot of frosty leaves that I trimmed off well leaving behind green calyx. The buds turned out sort of green and purple combined. I will take close up pictures once everything is dry. Buds filled up 8 wire hangars total. Humidity is aroudn 60 so drying is going pretty slowly

The buds seem small but dense, I can't wait to try some.

ive got a 25-30x microscope. I would estimate 80% cloudy 20% amber at harvest. Ill update with weight for sure when its all dry.

how bad did they stretch? ive got a sea of green going and i have limited headroom and im worried that they might get too tall for my cabinet. my cut is from harborside, so hopefully my stuff comes out legit lol. if not ive still got my blue dream genes which kicked ass

I didnt find them to stretch too much at all. I can't really compare to other strains, but I was expecting a lot more stretch, hope that helps.

My computer has been fried for a little while, sorry it took so long to respond. I will put up pictures of the dried bud and some BHO later today. Fan leaves made about 16 good brownies. 37 grams trim made just over 3 grams of very potent oil. And I have about 5.5 oz's of the kind to keep me busy until next season.

Great grow, great journal, Your Pics are beautiful with all the purple. Nice harvest as well. Just picked up a 400/600 Next gen ballast.
