Mushu's at it again... Speedqueen PC Grow Round #2

Hey guys.... Adjusted the PH of my water to about 6.5 before i fed this last time... No update yet as i just got into Key West today... So i apologize for the no update but i was busy packin... The run off this time was about 6 so thats much better... ill be adjusting and watching each watering.... I noticed that before i adjusted the water... it was about 5.5 with the nutes so all those nutes must have brought it down so much.... Plants are still looking healthing.. I though the scrog screen in there and realized i might be better off with one plant as its such a tight spot lol... You'll all see what i mean by next wednesday... So untill then... Merry Xmas, and happy holidays... Im off to get more drunk down here in Key West lol

Well guys.. Like i said.. I'm finally back.. Got a look at the plants for the first time since ast wednesday... And all i have to say is i need to figure out a way to auto water the plants next time i have to leave for a week lol

Soil was bone dry... Plants were still looking healthy, but obvious signs of stress due to lack of water... Plants had alot of new growth... Especially the second plant.. So that was cool.. They stopped growing probably two days ago it looks like since the first plant only had a small amount of new growth compared to the 2nd plant. I didnt get picks right away this morning as i was trying to get the plants as much water as they would suck up, and after this post i'll be giving them some more with a bit of ferts added to it.

So hopefully these plants make a nice recovery over the next couple days... I have them under the screen right now using that as sort of an LST thing, pushing the main stem back under... The screen is tied down and taped to the sides so it wont move.

All for now folks... I'll throw an update in a couple days after they've recovered

Gyeaaa!!.Thats micro growing at its best .I like the short internode distance.The screen is gonna make em bushier, just like LST.Its like weightlifting for them .Great job Mushu.Theyre gonna recovered just fine....and my judgement is..................... ..... keep em coming!!!

Thanks Kid! The plants are already lookin healthier... And i realized the sag in the leaves there on the first plant is because the leaves are being pushed down from the case side door...

Also.. I do believe i've found myself a little present.... A white hair!! O Snap!

Its on the very top node of plant one, and i wasnt sure at first... But now im pretty positive.. I'll wait to get a better pic of it possibly by the end of the weekend, or mid next week.. Whenever i can get a good shot.

Also... As for harvest.. I think i'll be doing a slow harvest on this one... Meaning.. I'll harvest the buds as they need to be harvested to maximize the growth on each bud and let the other nodes build up properly. We'll see how that works out.. but thats the plan so far

Dude, those are some fat and happy-looking stalks. Congrats. I like the low and solid branching they're doing.

The two in front look normal. The back-left one is a runt, but still looks pretty happy. The back-right one is mildly retarded, and is having trouble with the whole "symmetry" thing, but I think it'll do okay. They're all looking healthy thus far.

Hey Mushu, I don't have a grow-thread on this forum, but here's a pic of my box I finally got around to posting today:



The four plants on the right are SQ's, the left two are along for the ride. The back-left plant is a crappy bag seed plant that just happens to be female (white hairs!), and the front-right plant is a bonsai-salvage I'm attempting to flower again.

Orange - So far, only one is female, i think the 2nd plant has about another week? maybe a couple days before it starts showing signs.

Segue - Arg... I'll throw in something in the next round of pics, but at the bottom is a BF2 PC Game case if that helps lol... They're 6in pots that they're in. And hell yea our race is still on ^_^ Although i do believe i'm winning so far at least in the SQs Let me know how that reflowering goes.. I've thought about reflowering these... But I may end up tossing one plant if i do since its pretty cramped inside haha

Little update today with pics!

Plants are looking pretty healthy except the leaves that arnt getting much light due to being pushed up against the side of the case, or just buried underneath the other foliage =/ Those are just hangin on lookin green but wilting a little bit. I'm pretty positive its not a deficiency as its in no specific part except the leaves that arent getting much light. Next grow will either be in a bigger cab, or i'll just be doing one plant depending how these turn out in the end.

Plant one(white hairs) - Lotta branching which is nice, although i'm VERY tempted to cut off some of the fan leaves as its pretty crowded.. But i'll refrain untill it gets really bad haha



Plant Two - Nothing so far... Not alot of stretching on the lower branches yet, i expect it to take off here soon as the screen is doing some LSTing for it

Thats pretty much it for now... I'm feeding them probably every 3-4 days? Runoff is finally around 6-6.5... I'm having to throw alot of PH up in the water after I add ferts too =/ Should I put the PH up first and let it sit before i put ferts in?

Mushu... Did you ever get around to trying the Mushu at a decent Chinese takeout? Good stuff, I swear.

(Mushu Factoid: 87% of mushu customers throw out the "plum sauce" because they can't figure out what to do with it. Myself included. And I made up that statistic. )

Here's my pathetic bonsai:



I don't know what to do with it. I've fed it a couple of times, and repotted with FFOF soil, and all it wants to do is grow new leaves, not stems. I just OVER-fed it tonight... hopefully it'll remember how to grow some branches or something. (The yellow leaves are old... The new growth looks good, but I haven't figured out how to produce a normal-looking plant yet. Suggestions are welcome.)

And here's that crappy bagseed plant that I don't have the heart to kill:



(The burnt leaf is from a bulb-touching mistake. Oops. Otherwise it looks fine.)

I had four of these, but my SQ seeds arrived earlier than expected and I chopped the other three. It's ugly, but I'm a sucker for a survivor that's definitely female. At this point I'm trying to slow down growth without killing it, but I think I'm just making it angry. Maybe I should top it again or something.

Anyhoo...

Mushu, your plants look great. I admire your tiny "room"... I think I'd go crazy trying to fit plant into a computer box. That's cool the HPS is working out.

Hey mushu I would mix your nutrient solution then add the ph up.. just a thought for next time you go on vacation... find something that will hold what you feel will be an appropriate amount of water and hang mount above the level of the soil, use either a tube or whatever you want and connect that to your water, then poke a very small hole and position where needed... just a thought... happy new year

Jay_Khrist - Thanks for the suggestion on the mixing.. Thats the way i normally do it.. But i was never sure on how to do it right, or if there even is a right way lol.. I've been trying to come up with something like you said there.. But Idk how i'm gonna be able to get something like that into a PC case... We'll see

Also... The New Year was apparently great to me this year.. I'm still w/o a decent girl friend.. But that doesnt matter for the next 3 months while im in a Fire Academy anyway... Be too busy w/o the GF naggin at me anyway lol... But i now have two special ladies!! Plant #2 has turned out Female as well

Hey guys... Sorry its been so long.. Been busy with the Fire Academy .. Its been alot of fun so far but it takes up my life

Anways... Ladies are looking awesome... They've got alot of hairs now and the leaves look like they're starting to produce glands an what not... I'll be getting a small magnifying glass here asap so i can see about when i need to harvest...

Also.. It looks like some of the newer leafs have some sort of deficiency... Not sure what it is..

Anyways.. Im working on it..

As you can see in pictures 3-4.. Albeit its a little hard.. You can see the slight discoloration on the edges of the some of the leaves...

Also a slight discoloration on some of the leaves up at the top... But the flowers on both plants are looking good, and overall i'm happy with the way the plants are coming along.. I just wish i kept a calender so i could tell about how much longer I have before i can start enjoying some samples lol









Next update will probably be next week, and weekly from now on unless i get a chance during the week... The Academy is keeping me hella busy right now..
