"Mr extractor" discussion

I have an interest only in helping get great product out into the universe.

It seems you are shilling for a company and against "pumps". As far as I know GW and others have moved to bigger and safer pumps because of their safety in production NOT because apions or other pumps produce any less pure extractions.

If aren't a shill post in some other threads and start contributing. I can guarantee you that you will be producing safer and cleaner meds for interacting in good faith here.

My understanding is that Haskels are a oiless pump that is not only fire rated for flammable solvents but also food grade. I read a article that talked about how contaminants get into your extraction. I have a friend that runs a apion and we are going to see if we can find someone that tests for contaminents so I know for a fact if it is true or not. For now I want to err on the side of caution. My mother is my whole world and I want to keep her safe. I would feel awful if I found out I was poisoning her unknowingly. Cannabis is the only medicine that helps her. I'm spending everything I've got in savings to get this machine. I am thankful that there are people like grey wolf that are willing to help people like me.

Don't spend a bunch of your savings on a machine!!!!! Buy and assemble a MKIII, the necessary braided stainless steel hosing, and recovery tank (you aren't going to expel butane gas into the atmosphere, that is uncool). You will also need a vac oven, vac pump, or are you planning on finishing with ethonal?

The group here will help you make the cleanest safest meds possible.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Check out other threads.

It's too late! I already purchased the tamisium! I'm just waiting for it to be shipped and delivered. Any advice or help once I have the machine in my hands would be much appreciated. I plan on making medicine for my mother and several groups of the elderly. I will be giving them the medicine at cost. I do not want to make money off it. There are too many people in need that don't have the money for medicine. My mother has been taking medication for years for her seizures and it doesn't work. She broke her hip during her last one. I have been giving her cannabis and she has not had one in 3 months. It is worth my savings to save her life and anyone else who is in need!

We'll you can learn to drive in any car. Once you start driving you'll probably go through a few cars in your life time.

Remember you can't save everyone in the world. You may find that you need to expand to do even more good....

Check out other threads in this sub forum, and prepare to start your own thread when your machine gets in....

How many lbs of material do you plan to process to make how much medicine????

When do you expect to deliver the first gram to your mother?

:joint:

i am hoping for at least 80 grams per pound of bud that I run. I hope that within the next 45 days I will be able to give it to my mother. I'm doing research right now on making capsules. I think it would be a more precise dose in that form. I just got to figure out the do's and donts of capsules.

Yeah I'm a bit of a lurker

Just pointing out that they adding a valve.

Not sure if they're doing it right, it's out of my depth.

Link doesn't work for me. But I seen that as well.

"We spent today at the manufacturing facility deciding on how to incorporate a vac port on the device. What we have decided on is to place a valve on the lower evap chamber that will allow the user to vac down the system to remove the oxygen, it will allow the user to transfer distilled solvents back out of the device back to a storage tank, and it will allow the user to use a vac directly on the extract while still in the device. The picture below is a mock up, we will place it in a better spot and size the tubes the right length. All our current production models will have this implemented from now on. As far as price goes, like every product on the market, the first ones are expensive. We will work to get the price down. Today we submitted designs and a device to begin the ASME cert process."

How can the best, safest, cleanest thing on the market need more ball valves and vac ports?

How does one vac down the system to remove the oxygen?

How does one "vac directly on the extract while still in the device."?

Although CC hasn't returned here to answer our questions, he did more or less answer them on Reddit.

He said that they would get an MEPE review and ASME certification. They would replace the glass with stainless, as they didn't expect the glass to pass. He didn't say they would replace the ones sold to date, which wouldn't pass. That means it is true he hasn't done it yet.

He said they have product liability, but didn't show the policy. He committed to show it to customers as requested, so be sure and ask and report back on the policy date.

He said he was working on finding someone with plastic in their extract, which I sincerely believe, but as hard as he has had to look, only further investigation will determine how believable it is.

He ignored the question regarding finishing to meet residual solvent standards.

As far as the list of differences, he brushed them aside saying there were differences in the two systems, so both had things they did better.

Soooo, are we making progress?

Time will tell, but it appears we have motivated CC to get a MEPE review, and to replace the glass.

It appears they will be adding the required vacuum port so that the system can be safely run.

Would that have happened without us taking Drew to task? Conjecture, but my guess is not.

Will he actually follow through? We'll see!

Will he stop poisoning the well as a business practice? I sincerely hope so, because that is what this campaign was about and if he doesn't stop, neither will I. There is more than enough business for all concerned, so there is no need to poison the well with half truths and lies.

Competition is what builds the market; competition is what drives innovation and progress, not poison. Competition is what makes us all strive to better ourselves. Onward and upward to learn from mistakes made. There is no better industry builder than competition.

A competitor’s advertising and plaudits do nothing but build the concentrate industry and build our own client base and awareness at the same time. A competitor’s gains can be my gains as can I also gain from his losses. Nothing promotes industry and personal gain like good quality competition.

Let honor, integrity and innovation stand at the front of the line. Like GW stated there is more than enough business for all concerned. We are at the epoch in time for a gold rush type period of advancement in the concentrate industry! It is all onwards and upwards and FORWARD from this point in time.

Let fairness and quality persevere and shine! Let’s build upon one another, and stand shoulder to shoulder to triumph in our burgeoning industry. Let good will show through and the charlatans will pass into oblivion! I for one look forward to the next new innovations to fall on our shoulders from the direct result of good old fashion competition.

Competition is also what sharpens the market and drives its evolution to better products.

I owed a company that made rescue gear. We had very high liability issues. From my experience I have a hard time understanding where Mr Extractor found insurance without an engineer certified product. This goes against all my experience dealing with companies who offer liability insurance.

Drew (Mr Extractor owner) has been claiming concentrates made with certain pumps are contaminated. When he was posting in this thread he was asked if he had tested proof of this. His answer was yes but he refused to show the proof. On his FB page (1-29-15) he stated, "We are meeting with a Portland lab tech tomorrow morning who claims to have tests proving the presence of plastics in BHO extractions. ". It appears he does not have this "proof" and is still digging around for a way to back up his claims.

Also he stated in this thread and on his FB page (1-29-15): "PTFE leaches into butane. More to come on that.". This again is a claim he keeps making while saying he has proof. These repeated claims with no proof are a sign of what is going on.

Both of these claims has been tested for by multiple other people and labs. No one else has found contamination.

At this point Drew has had many weeks and venues to answer the serious questions. Repeatedly his answers are "Tomorrow we are doing X, Y and Z". Beware of guys who make claims, say they have proof, refuse to show the proof and answer most questions with "tomorrow we are going to".

So far only one direct and clear answer he has given: Does the Mr Extractor product meet ANSI or AMSE standards - Drew's Answer: "No"

If he had done the work to build a safe product he would not need to act this way.

Drew never showed up on the Redit AMA thread Vividavis started. This there a different one going?

Truth is typically shorter than fiction.

I ran across a link on one on one of the forums or my email. I'll copy the adress the next time I run across it.

I just read a comment on one of their pictures that says something along the lines of "yo let me test one of those out at harvest and ill pay you after I use it. 6-10k is hard to come by these days." comment to follow said yes and to PM them to work it out. If thats how companies work then screw earning everything I need, let me test a MKVII, a couple TR-21's, a 125# tank, and a 3.2 AI oven and ill pay for it by the end of march haha. Im not saying people arnt good for it (nor am I saying im not) but hell who finances Extractors? especially when you boast about them being primarily used to commit disobedience to the law. that would render any contract between them void, would it not? you cant include anything illegal in a contract and expect it to hold up in front of a judge can you? Rhetorical of course but come on.

Oh man!!!! That's good stuff right there!!!!! Let me front it!!! Ahhahahaha!!!!! Reminds me of a guy that used to be my friend. He wanted me to give him a half lb. of my dried and trimmed buds(tight trim too, lol) and he was gonna let me have his 2 plants that were still in the ground. (that weren't even close to a 1/2 pound). The sad thing is, there's a sucker born every minute, that will fall for that shit.
